The emotional side of Fantasy Football management cannot be underestimated.

As the Scoutcast’s discussion on mental health shows, many managers can struggle in their everyday life when a bad Gameweek strikes.

This episode features some powerful accounts of the impact being a Fantasy manager can have on the community’s lives, from sleepless nights to depression. Az, Joe and David also reveal how Fantasy Football has affected their emotional wellbeing over the years.

Recorded midway through a season-defining first Double Gameweek of 2018/19, the crew also look back on their decision to shun Manchester City’s hat-trick hero Sergio Aguero.

City assets feature again in our community questions section, as the crew assess likely rotation, especially around future Double Gameweeks.

Elsewhere, Chelsea’s new-look attack is also weighed up.

The crew then finish off with a detailed look at their Gameweek 26 transfer moves, captaincy decisions, differential picks and clean sheet prospects.

This Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Yes, I think he did, the season Middlesborough got to the cup final I think they were quite popular with the neutral fan base.

I have 5 ( Sané Hazard over Pogba Mané). But thinking of Hazard to Pogba due to fixtures so agree other than think would still take Sané over Mané and only agree with Aubameyang over Aguero due to blank and fixtures.

I really like sane too. But the rotation is only gonna get worse and with blank coming i shifted to mane. Hope his 2 goals dosnt end his spell though.

After tonight I will likely have

      Salah, Son, Pogba, Jota
      Aguero, Rash, Jimi

Mané is a good pick but with my current defence I can't afford him - one for the future

I'm just one letter off 😛

Sane over Mane. Hoping he puts in a good performance and keeps his place. Would like to keep him for GW28-30 when a lot of players will ditch for GW27.

Still annoyed with myself for talking about Auba to Aguero hokey cokey and not doing it. Not quite to extent as in this clip........

    https://twitter.com/FPL_Partridge/status/1092434446014431233?s=20

But very undecided whether to play side below and carry transfer or go Hazard to Pogba and Steele to Fabianski for -4?
What would you do ? (Boruc not going to get much v Liverpool and Pogba could haul v Fulham......... )

    A Stick
    B make transfers

    Boruc*
    Doherty Van Dijk Kolasinac
    Salah (c) Sané Hazard* Son
    Aubameyang Rashford Jimenez

    Steele Bednarek AWB Gunnarsson

    Sane + Hazard + Healey -> Son + Auba + 5.4 max mid for -4? Worth it?

    Alisson
    VanDijk Shaw Doherty
    Hazard Sane Salah Pogba Anderson
    Rashford Jimnez

    Speroni WanB Duffy Healey

    Thanks in advance.

Let’s it’s this time last week. Why aren’t you going to sell Auba for Aguero and why are you getting in Sane, you pretty much know he’ll only play one of two games?
    Will you TC and why?

Mate, Aguero’s only going to get one game. Jesus will def come in - and Aguero will prob play Arsenal so that’ll be a much tougher game. Sane’s definitely going to start both - Mendy’s still out, and Arsenal’s weak spot is right-back. It’ll probably be Lichtensteiner, so that’s ripe for getting in behind and cutting back across goal. Sané’s nailed on for a couple of assists probably.

I really don’t think Sane will start both. Maybe the Arsenal game but I reckon he’ll get rested for Everton and then back in for Chelsea.

I personally already had Sane and no other DGW players - Sane remained my only other DGW player as I knew that I wanted Auba back and would therefore have to pay 2FT and the extra $ I would lose from selling Auba in the first place. Was iffy on going without Aguero though, for sure. Bear in mind he may not start today though.

I also chose to (c) salah because of those doubts over man city asset gametime.

However, long term I think that holding out may actually benefit me, as keeping the money ITB that I would otherwise have lost gave me the exact amount to do Haz Quaner to Son Rashford.

That's just me though. for the scenario you described, can't say i would have done what you're describing people did. and would not have played TC

tough one hypothetically, with hindsight and all. I would say no as I didn't expect such a big score from him, nor did/do i expect over 100mins. So no.

Had Hazard had a DGW this week (screw you brighton), he would've been my TC - shame!

Not sure yet. I'm hoping to keep him until GW34 WC, but that might be a bit too wishful. It somewhat depends on the chip strategy, which may change for me come GW27, so I'm just holding on and seeing what happens for now. I can't see him being ousted from the starting XI entirely, so I'm happy to take a few disappointing minutes until it becomes a bit more obvious that I'm wrong

This was discussed before. As I understand it, Cardiff plan to honour the contract but are waiting until all the facts from the flight incident are established. So the article just paints Nantes in an insensitive light, but I imagine it will be a non-issue

I imagine it’s all down to the insurance policy and whether it will respond, there’s probably an exclusion in it for unlicensed aircraft (which this was rumoured to be). Cardiff may has no cover which would mean they’d have to stump up the full £15m. Either way it’s very poor timing and taste from Nantes to be pushing for payment at this stage.

Seen someone mention a MOTD challenge, without checking any results all day and watching the show. This is a great idea! Removes the anxiety of waiting on your players to perform, i might give this a go this weekend.

My Grandad would do this when he used to play the pools. Granted, it was a lot easier to avoid scores on a Saturday before the advent of the internet, but he'd still have to avoid talking to specific people knowing they'd inevitably bring up "the United game", and dodge the tv and radio all day.

        Hello...... haha that was me.
It was almost impossible. Mobile phone stayed switched off... no whatsapp messages from the lads in the FPL league.... no goal notifications. I actually enjoyed it.

The main reason I did it was because I used to love watching MOTD not knowing any scores. It was exciting. But equally... seeing notifications of goals going in left, right and centre... and not from my men.... it would naff me off 😉

Though it was still a relief and I had much more time for my wife. She knows I'm football mad. But I know she certainly appreciated my focus for the day 😀

Some people have no sense of proportion whatsoever. This isn't obviously as bad, but falls in the same category as wishing someones (read: refs) death when a decision - in a GAME - is made against them. Nothing but contempt from me.

      Hazard & Jimenez > Jota & Aubameyang (-4)

Not worth losing Jimi for Jota, I wanted to make Auba work so badly but just went for Laca instead. The guy has 3 in his last 4!

Could pay dividends over the coming weeks with Aubameyang's fixtures. Not so sure about losing Jiminez, however - offering superb value.

Such luck that I did, about 15 mins before the deadline. Has seen a +100,000 increase in rank this week into the top 40,000. Having Redmond, Has and Luiz helped this week as well though.

As a non Kun owner and sane captainer I was tempted to stick a few quid on Aguero to score twice tonight to cover my annoyance if it happens. Probs won’t bother though and odds are terrible (3 to 1). He may not even start so wouldn’t place bet until this was confirmed.
