Son Heung-min (£8.7m) and Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) are among the benched players for Spurs in their Double Gameweek 34 fixture.

With already-relegated Huddersfield coming to north London, Mauricio Pochettino has taken this opportunity to start Fernando Llorente (£5.1m) and Kyle Walker-Peters (£4.2m) in their place.

Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) has held onto his place in the side and without Trippier should have a greater involvement in set pieces.

Also, with Son on the bench and Harry Kane (£12.6m) injured, it is possible the Danish international could be taking the penalties too.

Ben Davies (£5.6m) comes in for Danny Rose (£5.8m) at left-back, while Juan Foyth (£5.0m) starts alongside Jan Vertonghen (£5.9m) and Davinson Sánchez (£5.8m) so that Toby Alderweireld (£6.0m) can have a rest on the bench.

Huddersfield have lined themselves up in a 4-5-1 formation with Karlan Grant (£5.0m) leading the line. He has two goals in his last two away trips.

Chris Löwe (£4.4m) and Jon Stankovic (£3.9m) are both playing out of position in midfield.

Spurs XI: Lloris, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Foyth, Davies, Sissoko, Eriksen, Moura, Wanyama, Llorente

Huddersfield XI: Hamer; Durm, Kongolo, Schindler, Hadergjonaj; Löwe, Stankovic, Hogg, Bacuna, Kachunga; Grant.

As a young first timer on here I'm not sure whether I enjoy the stress of this game or not. Maybe I'm already in deep and no escape?

Your name is perfect for this post hahaa. Yhh true, it was with first wildcard tbh but this time round I just took a few punts ie Martial, Lukaku, Moura and KDB and will just hope for best :). What happens happens I guess

Game is the keyword mate. I take it seriously because I’m a competitive person and because I enter a huge mini league with a massive cash prize but you shouldn’t let it stress you lol

Streak onto the pitch and take out one of the Spurs attackers. Aim a sliding tackle on Llorente if poss, as he looks fragile.

Only once Son's on - Eriksen returns (and Spurs leading) surely make that less likely. Vardy VC and ML rival has Duffy VC (also with Son C).

Referring to what's mentioned above it would be interesting to have all team lists submitted on a Friday night before any deadlines. That way unpredictability is eliminated and proper skill shines through - as most winners in FPL these days get luck on their side as well.

There are so many 50/50 calls based purely on luck, especially with Man City and other top sides with european commitments.

Removing the deadline takes away skill.

Do you want a switch captaincy chip too?

Doesn't take away skill at all - there is absolutely no skill in "guessing" lineups.

But if we were to know who were to play, then the skill comes into play in actually choosing the right players. Anticipating who scores the most points, who has the best stats is where the skill comes in, not in anticipating who Pep will bench next, as that is out of anybody's control.

Disagree that there is no skill in predicting lineups - especially over the course of a season i.e. predicting number of starts/minutes a player will get. No one should be bringing in players for 1GW anyway unless before planned WC or on FH.

    3. Marvin.

You want teams playing on Sunday or even Monday to submit their teams on Friday night just to stop FPL players getting upset?

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Not meant just for that purpose. There's no reason why it can't happen - and it might even help even out the league between the cash kings and the lesser squads as the big teams wouldn't be able to wait for last minute fitness tests for their players.

I do play it.. I must say it is refreshing to play another game in conjunction that doesn't get so heavily swayed by team rotation.

I can accept making the wrong choices for players, but to have my GW swayed so heavily by rotation really does bring a lot of luck into things. (meant as a season long opinion, not based just on this GW)

I think team lists is too far IMO. But I support the NFL approach to have an update to date injury list with notes on participation in training.

There's a reason FPL deadline is 1 hour before when teams are announced and not half an hour.

It's FPL don't want you to know the teams

    8. MTPockets
      7 years, 3 months ago

Rotation has got worse with bigger squads, but that's part of the game.
More info on injuries would be good though.

Yeah, i'm just finding everything geared more towards pressers these days rather than the actual stats behind the games.

With these bigger teams, it really is a lottery who's getting picked and not. And the more money the bigger teams get, the bigger the squads get, and the worse rotation will get.

Part of the game i guess - and it'll probably gear us into picking nailed players from mid table sides instead. e.g. Jimenez, Siggy etc

        1. MTPockets
          7 years, 3 months ago

That's the thing - picking nailed mid table players vs. rotatable premiums is a game tactic

Sorry for the rookie question. What is EO and why can it be over 100%.

    1. diesel001
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Effective ownership. It reflects captaincy. Son is highly captained so his points count double for those who captain. That pushes his EO up.

      EO stands for Effective Ownership

It can be over 100% due to a player being captained

    6. ZeBestee
      • 11 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

      Effective ownership.

That is basically the % of ownership + the % of captaincy. If 90% top 10k owned Son, and 40% captained, EO will be 130%.

    7. Vobinho
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Effectively, if 90% own son and 50% of those captain him too, he is owned effectively by 135 people out of a 100

To be fair, never considered anyone outside Son and Vardy. City vs their bogey team, Pool vs Chelsea, Wolves vs Southampton(who I will never captain against), and JWP, maybeee, but yeah .. .
Not that big of a regret, tbh.

Possible. He is pushing forwards from LCB sometimes, and he's fantastic in the wide areas.

Today is the day I’m gonna pay for a mistake of VC Vardy ahead of Duffy. Such a rookie mistake not to VC a DGW player
