Foden replaces Sane in the only change to either side at the Etihad

The final match of Gameweek 37 takes place this evening between Manchester City and Leicester City.

Kick-off at the Etihad Stadium is at 20:00 BST.

A win for the hosts leaves them in pole position at the top of the Premier League table going into Gameweek 38.

There is only one change to the starting XIs this evening and it is perhaps a surprising one: Phil Foden replacing Leroy Sane for the home side, with Fernandinho and Kevin De Bruyne still not fit to return.

Foden’s recall means that Bernardo Silva is pushed further forward into the three-man City attack alongside Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.

Sane, Gabriel Jesus and former Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez are among the substitutes.

Vincent Kompany again partners Aymeric Laporte at centre-half, with John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi forced to watch on from the bench.

Benjamin Mendy is once again omitted from City’s 18-man squad.

Brendan Rodgers has kept faith with the same 11 players that started the 3-0 win over Arsenal last weekend.

That means that youngster Hamza Choudhury again gets a start in a central midfield three alongside Youri Tielemans and anchor Wilfred Ndidi.

James Maddison and Marc Albrighton will flank Jamie Vardy in attack, so Harvey Barnes and Demarai Gray again have to make do with a place among the substitutes.

Only Liverpool have scored more Premier League goals than Leicester since Brendan Rodgers’ appointment.

Vardy has been involved in more Premier League strikes (nine goals, two assists) than any other Fantasy asset in that time.

Aguero will be endeavouring to keep up his own impressive record of never having blanked when starting a home league fixture this season.

Both Aguero and Vardy registered assists when the two sides met at the King Power Stadium back in December, with the Foxes running out 2-1 winners.

Sterling, who leads all other outfield players for points per match (7.1) in 2018/19, has six double-digit hauls to Aguero’s four at the Etihad this season.

Aguero is the leading captain option this week, with 33,241 managers handing the Argentinean striker the armband while using their Triple Captain chip.

13,121 FPL bosses have used the chip on Sterling in Gameweek 37, meanwhile.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Silva, Foden, Sterling, Bernardo, Aguero.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Chilwell, Maguire, Evans, Pereira, Choudhury, Maddison, Albrighton, Ndidi, Tielemans, Vardy.

Next season I think I'll play like a casual. Planning and spending time researching hasn't helped at all.

This season has been anything but fun, unfortunately.

A few decent moments here and there, but looking back almost every move I didn't make because I was "sticking to the plan", would have paid off.

I'm nowhere close to top 10 myself, but would have had a better season just by making the transfers I didn't go through with because of planning ahead.

Sometimes the obvious transfer is the right one. You get to do it all again next season

Planning ahead seemed the obvious move to make. Looking back, it was making numerous hits for short-time effect that would've paid off.

it´s not over yet but most pool fans probably felt Leicester to be the team that could help us out. Brighton home when Brighton has nothing to play for sounds like easy but the gentleman that is Brightons manager will not allow his players to not show up and actually i think without any pressure from relegation and last home game og season plus there will be nerves in that City team.

Liverpool is on the way up, City down, so next year (as it is always with us Pool fans). ) Record high points score without winning and the team that won is..well they compete with other tools than most of the rest to put it in a nice way.

I’ll never understand the FPL H2H leagues.

You lead all season, losing only a handful of games, then lose to the very distant second place casual team in a freak low scoring week.

Like most of us my teams a weird mix of pool and wolves and a suspended Son

Unfortunately I have 1 FT, Matip and a load of rotation prone dross on the bench like Kola and Llorente

    1.8 ITB

    Help

    Foster
    TAA Matip Laporte
    Sterling Siggy Mane Jota
    Jiminez Llorente Aguero

    Ryan Kola Doherty Son

I guess my move has to be Son to someone like Pogba then bench Llorente or a wolves attacker.

But maybe it’s not the worst spot for a hit.

Barely clinging to top 5k and just wanna stay here

It's a lottery. Hang fire as late as possible and hope pressers reveal something.

      Saints attack is an option.

I have 3 wolves - the reason I rolled an ft that now has to be used elsewhere - and also trying to stick in 5k.

I don't think your team looks awful. Who knows what wolves will do. Remember spurs game at Wembley when spurs really were on fire beforehand.

European games might give clue on matip and llorente starts.

Random rotation we cant do much about.

Yeah I’m probably being dramatic for no reason. Wolves can be great on their day.

It’s son that ruined it really. I was happy benching one, playing 1, selling 1!

I guess I’ll just wait for press conferences ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks mate hopefully there’s room for both of us in the top 5k next week !

I’m 3 points off winning my mini league, I’d appreciate some thoughts on the best strategy to claim the win.

FYI - He will captain Salah (I’m a Salah and sterling owner in terms of captain options).

    1) Take no hits and keep players such as Jota, Jiménez, Firmino
    2) Take one hit and do Firmino to Aguero or Jiménez to Rondón/Mitrovic.
    3) Go ballsy, take a -8, Firmino to Aguero and Jiménez to rondon/Mitrovic.

      3 points ? Don’t do a hit. You’ll want every point mate.

Last year I won my ML as my rival had Ederson and he was on the bench and got booked. That one point won it as he had a fodder backup keeper.

I might be forced into 2 if Firmino is out as I’ve only got Gray on the bench as back up....

          I mean it’s tough really.

Gray could play with the FA cup in mind. But yeah you could end up with 10 players.

But if you do a -4 and the guy only gets 2 you’re 2 points down. It’s basically treating this GW like how we did in the blanks !

How safe am I compared with my rival who has BB to use next week? I am currently 18 points ahead of him.
Also I own Son and Firmino who will

Your not safe at all if he’s bench boosting and your gap is 18 points.

Son to a differential (I went redmond), I’d Firmino is our you can then afford Firmino to Kun.

At least my red arrow decreased in size tonight... now down 700 places to 36.2k OR. New aim to finish in top 30k.

With this team, I could put out a decent team but feel I should use the FT.

    1FT 0itb
    Lloris
    Robbo, Laporte, Valery
    Salah, Sterling, Jota, Mili, JWP
    Aguero, Wilson
    (Foster) (Jimi, Doherty, Yoshida)

    Jimi > Zaha/ Rondon?
If I do it who the flip do I bench?!

    Cheers

I’d bench Jota but could happily bench Milivojevic too. I like Arnautovic! Zaha only seems to do it away from home. Or Mitrovic?

        Cheers mate

Jota has looked the most dangerous Wolves player last few so I’d feel a bit strange benching him

May wait for betting odds and base my punt on them- Mitro vs Rondon vs Arnie vs Zaha!
