The final match of Gameweek 37 takes place this evening between Manchester City and Leicester City.

Kick-off at the Etihad Stadium is at 20:00 BST.

A win for the hosts leaves them in pole position at the top of the Premier League table going into Gameweek 38.

There is only one change to the starting XIs this evening and it is perhaps a surprising one: Phil Foden replacing Leroy Sane for the home side, with Fernandinho and Kevin De Bruyne still not fit to return.

Foden’s recall means that Bernardo Silva is pushed further forward into the three-man City attack alongside Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.

Sane, Gabriel Jesus and former Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez are among the substitutes.

Vincent Kompany again partners Aymeric Laporte at centre-half, with John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi forced to watch on from the bench.

Benjamin Mendy is once again omitted from City’s 18-man squad.

Brendan Rodgers has kept faith with the same 11 players that started the 3-0 win over Arsenal last weekend.

That means that youngster Hamza Choudhury again gets a start in a central midfield three alongside Youri Tielemans and anchor Wilfred Ndidi.

James Maddison and Marc Albrighton will flank Jamie Vardy in attack, so Harvey Barnes and Demarai Gray again have to make do with a place among the substitutes.

Only Liverpool have scored more Premier League goals than Leicester since Brendan Rodgers’ appointment.

Vardy has been involved in more Premier League strikes (nine goals, two assists) than any other Fantasy asset in that time.

Aguero will be endeavouring to keep up his own impressive record of never having blanked when starting a home league fixture this season.

Both Aguero and Vardy registered assists when the two sides met at the King Power Stadium back in December, with the Foxes running out 2-1 winners.

Sterling, who leads all other outfield players for points per match (7.1) in 2018/19, has six double-digit hauls to Aguero’s four at the Etihad this season.

Aguero is the leading captain option this week, with 33,241 managers handing the Argentinean striker the armband while using their Triple Captain chip.

13,121 FPL bosses have used the chip on Sterling in Gameweek 37, meanwhile.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Silva, Foden, Sterling, Bernardo, Aguero.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Chilwell, Maguire, Evans, Pereira, Choudhury, Maddison, Albrighton, Ndidi, Tielemans, Vardy.

Laportes assist gives me a great shot at placing within top 1k for the first time but it's a bit anticlimatic end of the season as a Liverpool-fan..

Great season for you FPL wise though even if it looks like Liverpool won’t win anything.

I know trophies are King but Liverpool fans have to be happy how strong their team has been this season. Most other seasons they would have tied up the league a while back.

Ultimately it's amounted to nothing, there isn't anyway you can feel anything other than disappointment, not in the team but in what might have been.

I get that. But the positives are that Liverpool are a complete team. Very strong in all areas and will compete to the line again next season no doubt.

Yes very happy with most of the season performance-wise but after last years CL-final and the Europaleague-final it would be nice to win something.. but better to be close to win than not have a chance I suppose!

So, 26 behind my main rival. But we both have very different teams.

A great captain choice vs a mediocre one could seal it for me. Who’s the man for the job?

    A) Zaha (BOU)
    B) Mitrovic (NEW)
    C) Salah (LIV)
    D) Pogba (CAR)

        Oops yeah, thanks.

Normally I would go Salah but Wolves can be very good against the top 6, it’s the only think putting me off.

Oh and the game may be tense too.

That’s the way to do it. Potentially explosive differentials. I would actually be tempted to try Van Aanholt. Or captain one of the Liverpool defenders if opponent doesn’t have them

Depends a bit on how different your teams are. Get the captain right and it could happen.

This week Hazard C, Digne and Laporte could have been 40 points or so over Sterling C Robbo and Shaw

Genuinely asking - do all the people revelling in Liverpool being closer to losing out on the title actually support City/ United or are Liverpool more hated than I thought?

If I was a neutral (I’m a ‘Pool fan), I’d be fed up with City tbh and be happy enough to see another team come along and graft to a win under a personality like Klopp

There are lots of different reasons, mainly they've learned to hate Liverpool and haven't yet done the same for City, I suspect they also know that they can pass off City winning as them simply buying the title whereas Liverpool winning would really highlight the failures of a few other clubs.

Yeh commented above on a similar comment. I think this makes sense. It’s the newness still of City’s success versus decades of rivalries and bitterness in some cases

I don't understand the hatred although personally I would prefer City to win it. Klopp is usually charming with the media but during a game can often be seen screaming blue murder at the fourth official. Liverpool were dominant when I was a teenager just as United were dominant under Fergie. Things will come full circle and most likely Liverpool will do the same again.

I'm a United fan and I want city to lose. But Liverpool supporters on here and other forums make it a tough decision.

To be pretty honest it's hard trying to drum up sympathy for a club that's been as successful as Liverpool. Both Pool and Citeh have been great but it's the nature of the game that one has to miss out.

Got out of jail there with no city attack after missing the deadline, and owning Laporte.

Eriksen, Son > Sterling, B.Silva for free?

Going into the last GW I am 9 points behind my mini-league rival. His getting rid of Man City assets has seen him overtake me - hopefully it will cost him in the final GW. Fingers crossed 🙂

Who's going to be abysmal this week?

Huddersfield dont look that much worse than saints.

With Watford mind on cup final, are west ham worth a punt?

A few of them fringe Watford players will be playing for a cup final starting spot.

Its going to be so random again.

home and away form - get on Southampton

Huddersfield are much better home than away - the big defeats have all been away pretty much

Southampton have been belting them in at home but been off away.

A)Keep Vardy for che, and just (likely) do Son to BSilva?

B)Or downgrade Vardy (e.g. to Long, has to be 5.8 or less) and Son to Sterling for a hit?

    Decisions, decisions...
