It is a short but important week coming up for Fantasy Premier League managers.

There are some big decisions to be made ahead of Gameweek 3 as some prepare to spend their two free transfers, others consider the Wildcard and that’s before we even get on to the captaincy.

So we’ve put together another panel of fine FPL minds to help you with any dilemmas.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Simon March – Former FPL champion who won the title in 2014/15 and has provided excellent advice ever since.

Always Cheating – The USA’s number one FPL podcast duo comprising of Josh and Brandon.

Gregor – Long-time Fantasy Football Scout moderator.

Doosra – Fantasy Football Scout user with some rather popular custom tables.

Spurs have beaten Villa and drawn with City. Those are better results than the equivalent fixtures last season.

Will Poch change a team that is doing well? You could argue that Moura scoring as a sub makes him the ideal bench candidate as he can be the impact sub.

I’ve said this a few times - Moura scored a hattrick to send Spurs to the ucl final and still got benched for Son in the big game

Hi all. I'm not a flapper so don't think I'm flapping. I want to know if you think it's acceptable to do a -8 to do the following:-
    B Silva > KDB
    Auba > Kane
Wilson > 6m (possibly Wesley as I think he opens his tally from Friday night)

I appreciate it could be argued that it may not pay for itself this week and looking at it as a fairly long term move.
Saying that, Silva could make way for the unfortunate Mahrez, Auba has Liverpool and Wilson has City so it would still feel good.

This seems the viable way to get KDB in who looks absolutely fantastic so far. Any thoughts much appreciated.

      I'd Be set up with:-

      Wesley Kane Ings

You don't have to do Auba to Kane this week even though you want the latter for that plum Newcastle fixture. Unless of course you are confident of having Kane start on -4 points for that game.

Follow your gut. I did when I transferred Deulofeu out for Pukki last week 🙂

I’ve seen a lot of hate on here for people taking hits or hitting the WC, I understand everyone has their own opinion but is it really that bad??

    1) You have the ability to catch price rises, which at this point in the game could be much more valuable to building a solid team for the months to come.

    2) For everyone saying we haven't had enough time to asses players in form etc...while I agree that we haven’t had much time, there are already certain players that are showing their strengths and weaknesses already so why not capitalize on their form or lose players who aren’t on form right away rather than watch them sit in our teams for weeks.

    3) The people who haven’t changed their teams are taking a risk that the others who get on the bandwagons early could simply leave them in the dust if these players keep performing with no way of getting them easily because they will be priced out. I get that those of us who have chosen to take hits or WC are also taking a risk but there is no way of knowing if that will be a risk or excellent decision. Any players could be injured at any time, injuries don’t have to wait until the international break...

Just saw a lot of hate and wanted to offer a bit of support for some of us WC crew, everyone will play the game differently and that’s what makes it so exciting. Goodluck lads!

I’ve often WC’d early and has always worked out ok or great. I’d rather use it now and get ahead rather than trying to claw back from mistakes by hanging on to it for dear life, like you say though, everyone plays it a different way.

Also feel mids will outscore forwards by miles again this season.

      1) If you already have a great team, hold the WC. Even if someone else scored this week. Many people are panicking too easily.

      2) Don't WC into a terrible team. You need to know current form & future fixtures, not just previous gameweek points. There is no second WC to re-save you.

      3) If you have a terrible team, WC away as long as you know what you are doing.

      4) If you WC early, you need a lot of long-term players. Guaranteed starters are a high priority.

Point 2 is critical and I feel like there are a lot of wildcard teams picked on form rather than potential. If form goes, what are you left with? A team half filled with Norwich and SHU players most likely.

I've got the exact same WC but a 4.5 striker instead of barnes and an upgraded defence with Rico and Zinch --> AWB and Walker to play a 451 formation. 🙂

I was about to suggest this. Drop Barnes and put some money into defence. That 2m could give you Kelly + Rico > Boly + Zouma, or AWB + Soyuncu. (As it's unlikely either 4.5 striker would get game time, I'd want 4 starting defenders... and Lundstram)

    How's this?

    Pope
    VVD, Dunk, Lundstram, Soyuncu
    Mane, Sterling, KDB, Martial
    Kane, Pukki

As commented below, I've realised after posting this that it basically does come down to Moura's spot, and whether I desperately want that to be Kevin or Son....

I think it's prob worth keeping the chip for now and hoping Moura does something vs the Geordies but tbh I don't expect a whole lot.

Not really but i can see what you're driving at. Would be much better if his spot was KDB or Son for example, and then i can move funds around to make that happen...

However, I think if someone told me he'll get 20 mins at the end vs a tired Newcastle.... I'd be fine with that, and come what may. He's probably the next out the door for my side anyway and was an early season punt (which has gone fine!)

Or, if he no-shows, I have Montoya (SOU) / Dendoncker (BUR) that can come in... so a lot depends on your bench, and who would pop up if he didn't get on.

Agreed! Good thing you have a bench for back up. My problem is that i don't 🙁 What are your thoughts on Moura actually starting though?

40% ish I think, unfortunately. Lamela's played well so far so I doubt he gets benched - and I think with Son, Eriksen and Lo Celso now all potential starters in GW3 it becomes v hard to squeeze Moura into the side.

I think if they go 4-diamond-2 then he's got a much better chance of starting w/Kane though. Other issue is that we won't get any clues from Poch at all!

I have Trossard. Brought in Mount for Perez. Ignoring West Ham attack until they have regular starters

            Yes, mate. 1.3M ITB.

            Considering:
            A) Fraser > Martial
            B) Fraser > KDB (-4)

The latter requires to downgrade someone because I'm 0.9M short. The options are: Digne (if not fit) or Perez I suppose.

If you absolutely had to pick a Chelsea mid this week, which one would it be? Frank’s favourite Mount (no pun intended); may be rotated with Barkley still. Whom of Pulisic and Pedro is most likely to lose minutes/ his spot to Willian? Most importantly, whom do you think is most likely to score a brace in vs nor/SHU?

Perez playing out on the wing and was far to deep on many occasions the weekend. He went out off my team after that game.

Anyone ran comparisons in the members area of Lundstram vs Siggy, McGinn, Martial etc?
With additional points available for a cleansheet over other midfielders as well, I'm starting to think I should start him...

I plan to start him over King this week & will probably start in GW5 too. Not every week though.
