FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 3

It is a short but important week coming up for Fantasy Premier League managers.

There are some big decisions to be made ahead of Gameweek 3 as some prepare to spend their two free transfers, others consider the Wildcard and that’s before we even get on to the captaincy.

So we’ve put together another panel of fine FPL minds to help you with any dilemmas.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Simon March – Former FPL champion who won the title in 2014/15 and has provided excellent advice ever since.

Always Cheating – The USA’s number one FPL podcast duo comprising of Josh and Brandon.

Gregor – Long-time Fantasy Football Scout moderator.

Doosra – Fantasy Football Scout user with some rather popular custom tables.

    Too knee jerky? Could see Moura and VVD scoring against weak defenses

    GK Pope or Adrian
    DEF AWB, Walker Pieters, Soyuncu, Lunstrum, Kelly
    MID Salah, Sterling, KDB, Martial, Cantwell
    FWD Kane, Pukey, Greenwood

    Defence is fine fixture wise up to GW 8 where I think a Chelsea is needed and known who partners Rudiger.

    If Salah looks close to a fall in price soon after deadline I could go Mane instead and have Digne over KWP

    Leaves .3 in bank in case Pukey is not the chosen one and Kean kicks on at Everton.

      Stick for now but get a 4m keeper, move out some expensive defenders for 4.5m options, move Oerez/ Martial for 6-6.5 m mids and upgrade forwards.

          257k. Not as good a start as you but it's fine at this stage. Going with Siggy and Wilson over KDB and King proved to be a poor choice but hindsight is 20/20. Happy enough with my team now.

      I like this move. Is this a double up on City defence?

      I am wanting Martial for Fraser. I currently have VVD and Robbo. To find the 0.2MN for the transfer I'm looking at downgrading Robbo. Key targets are Wan B and Laporte currently. I have Zinchenko already.

      What are your thoughts on the move I should make?

    Consider funding KDB > Gyfli (perez won't be enough) by Lundstram > ROBO and left with 1.2m in the bank.

    Main concern is that only 1 free transfer therefore the 4 points hit.

    Any thoughts?

      No. Basically using your WC just to get Martial as Ryan -> Pope is a luxury move, and Lundstram and Kelly will be on your bench. Not worth it.
