Anyone think Ayew (palace) will continue to start? And do we think he’s an asset for a few weeks as a punt?

Wanting to drop Perez before another price drop.

Thoughts on replacements? Budget is 8.1m

Thanks. I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and go for mount.

Would rather have waited but I've already had quite a few price drops and I don't want to risk more.

    Salah - Sterling - KDB - Mount - Cantwell
    Rashford - Pukki - Haller

Bench one player from this bunch please.

So rather than ditching Perez for Mount this week, makes sense to now swap Martial out and get him back in for Perez if fit after IB? (1FT)

    1. SkeletONv01
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 1 month ago

Yup. Makes sense to get rid of a player who will not play instead of a player who will 😛

If you get rid of Martial when he is only missing 1GW, then you will still have the Perez fire to put out. Getting rid of Perez now and utilising your bench to cover Martial will mean saving a transfer.

          • 16 Years

Yeah but missing one is an assumption, likely though admittedly given the IB. Probably should have mentioned bench of Dendonker, Greenwood an Lundtsram.

Is Martial a hold? I've got Lundy or Cantwell to come on as replacements.

I think he is still a good shout as he's playing OOP. I could only move him for a -4 as I did Dendonk to Cantwell earlier this week

    1. Ings on the up

I have held. With Lund, Greenwood and dendocker on the bench to come in for him.

He's got in some good positions but at 7.5 price point I think there are better players to have. Maddison for one and you get set pieces with him.

his goal/assist per min since he joined united is crazy. if his output is maintained or bettered in new position (likely) and he doesnt get injured constantly (not likely) he would finish season on 200+

I really should do Jota to Barnes before Barnes goes up again tonight.

But it feels wrong, even though I know it’s right.

    1. F4L
      • 11 Years

Wolves' attack just looks so uninviting this season. Jota and Jimenez just get left to beat 6 defenders by themselves, unless Traore is on the pitch. Ditching Jota for Barnes makes perfect sense for sure

What do you think of Harry Wilson as an option?

He got 16 league goals last year and is playing in an attacking Bournemouth team. Not sure on his nailedness though. He didn't start the City game but that was because they went 5 at the back.

He could be gold if he gets minutes.

That was I was thinking. Actually started him this season but dropped him before he scored two games in a row. Perhaps not time yet to get him in but def. worth keeping an eye on. I actually asked some people one here as well earlier.

    thinking about using wc
which team to go for? any improvements much appropriated

    A- ederson (button)
    vvd, digne, maguire (kelly, ludnstram)
    salah, sterling, kdb, mount, ceballos
    pukki, wesley ( greenwood)

    or

    B- ederson (button)
vvd, digne, maguire, kelly ( lundstram)
salah, sterling, mount, ceballos ( douglas luiz)
    kane, pukki (greenwood)
team B would mean I'll have to rotate between douglas, kelly and lundstram

It's obvious that Lampard is moulding Mount into a very similar player to himself and played him in most matches last season for Derby which suggests he's one of the managers favourite and therefore more likely to start than any one of Barkley, William, Pulisic Pedro...

Emerson has looked great going forward but don't know how many clean sheets you'll be getting from Chelsea. Wolves have been pretty solid at the back and Boly got 2 bonus last despite not keeping a clean sheet. Saves you 0.5 too.

no one is getting cs's tho so people may as well go with emerson who has what the highest shots or something for a defender? and is 5.5, not over digne or a liverpool defender but as your third

That's true. Over the season I still don't think they'll keep clean sheets but you're right as far as someone over the next 4 GW's Emerson is probably the best 3rd option.

    Which one this week folks???
A- Martial to Mount, play Jota and Lundstram 1st sub
    Or
B- Jota to Haller, play Lundstram and hold Martial 3rd sub

See what Ole says in the presser tomorrow, but probably Jota > Haller

Yeah I’m thinking this too mate, Jota to Haller was the move I’d planned this week so I’d be happy with it; hopefully Martial news is positive tmoz that he may only miss one game so back after the international break

I like Haller a lot this week for a couple of goals. If I wasn't currently trying to enjoy being a Firmino owner I'd get him in.

This is the time of the season to take hits. Get your team sorted for the long run

Yes. I’m thinking of doing this to Maddison and Haller for a hit so you definitely will get more value for your -4 than me.

Should I be worried about no KDB? Already own Sterling but the only way to get in KDB is Martial out for a hit. Worth benching Martial as he's only out for one week?

Think it's entirely down to who you're sacrificing to get KDB in. E.g. if you've got Greenwood up front for a 9.5 3rd mid, I'd rather have Maddison as a 3rd with Barnes instead of Greenwood.

        I'm considering Martial + Perez -> KDB + McGinn/Ceballos

Keeping Martial means playing Lundstram and Dendoncker, who aren't likely to get many points.

Not really expecting great things from Jota or Martial over the course of the season either though. Have had Martial since start and been happy with the returns, but something always seems to derail him. I like Big Seb to outperform Jota.

But it is swapping 2 healthy strikers for another 2, for a hit.

Agree though you got to like Aguero / Pukki more than Rashford's potential to float out on the wing and Kane's to drop deep...
