Bournemouth face Everton in the first of two Premier League matches to take place this Sunday.

Kick-off at the Vitality Stadium is at 14:00 BST.

There were a couple of surprises when the teamsheets were released, although we have come to expect the unexpected with Eddie Howe.

Lewis Cook (£5.0m) makes his first Premier League start of 2019 after recovering from a long-term knee injury, while Ryan Fraser (£7.3m) drops to the substitutes’ bench for the first time this season.

Adam Smith (£4.4m) has failed to recover from a hamstring problem so is replaced by debutant Jack Stacey (£4.4m) at right-back, while Chris Mepham (£4.9m) is only fit enough for a place on the bench after picking up an injury while on duty with Wales.

Nathan Ake (£4.9m) moves back across to centre-half, paving the way for a return at left-back for budget FPL defender Diego Rico (£4.0m).

Dominic Solanke (£5.4m) also starts for the Cherries, alongside Joshua King (£6.3m) and Callum Wilson (£7.8m).

Marco Silva has himself named two changes from the team that defeated Wolves a fortnight ago, one of which sees Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) return up front at the expense of Moise Kean (£6.8m).

Morgan Schneiderlin (£4.5m) replaces the missing Andre Gomes (£5.4m) in Silva’s only other alteration.

The Everton boss has since confirmed that Gomes has picked up a rib injury.

Alex Iwobi (£5.9m) and ‘out of position’ FPL defender Fabian Delph (£5.4m) make their second successive league starts for the Toffees.

This fixture generally generates goals: 31 of them have been scored in eight meetings between the two sides since Bournemouth were promoted.

Bournemouth XI: Ramsdale, Stacey, S. Cook, Ake, Rico, Billing, L. Cook, H. Wilson, Solanke, C. Wilson, King.

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Mina, Digne, Delph, Schneiderlin, Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Iwobi, Calvert-Lewin.

Compare the FPL points so far from defensive assets vs attackers

    Appalling stuff

    It's TAA + Digne + 4.0 non-starter, at this rate. 10-man squad 😀

Okay, okay... Maybe Soy for the reliable 2 points

Value wise, PPM defenders are doing well. It's just Tammy and Pukki in the sub 7.5 bracket that are standing out.

was toying with the idea, as the son and kdb captain rotation looks pretty good tbh.

For my draft team - who do you think is the better pick between:

    A) Moura
    B) Lamela

Are these two going to be constant rotation threats, or has the likes of Lamela nailed down his position in the Spurs starting 11?

Is there anyone who has experience with dealing with a truly bad season start despite having made an effort to play well?

How did you deal with it? Did you give up? Did you start playing casually and make fun punts and take hits? Did you stick to your guns? How did it work out for you?

    1. SADIO SANÉ
      • 11 Years
      6 years, 10 months ago

wish I'd stuck to my guns this week, changed my mind on City assests and got a shafting. Sometimes being stubborn is bad but at least you can say you did it your way. Just take an unbiased look at your team and try to keep it simple

      1. SADIO SANÉ
        • 11 Years
        6 years, 10 months ago

in seasons past (Vahrez season especially) I've decided I'm not owning someone because everyone above me already has them - or refusing to get Salah two seasons ago because I thought Mane was just as good an option.

But then again I've just taken a terrible hit for KDB because I wanted to avoid that happening again; I'd rather have Son, because he basically plays upfront. Whether a player turns out to be epic or not is largely 'luck' based, and it's important to remember this instead of getting frustrated; also ignore crap about players being 'essential'.

        1. Brosstan
          • 11 Years
          6 years, 10 months ago

Yea Pukki, Abraham, Mount really feel like it could be Vahrez all over again... Starting to feel like they have to be owned but at the same time you cant catch up with the people who have owned them since the start just by getting them in now.

          1. SADIO SANÉ
            • 11 Years
            6 years, 10 months ago

yep it's a very annoying dilemma - the thought of them blanking for 2/3 weeks in a row always keep you holding off in hope - but then they just become relentless ... it's so annoying. The annoying thing about Tammy is that I said I'd get the Chelsea #9 after GW2 but then it wasn't completely clear who it was at that point so I changed my mind, genius

            1. Brosstan
              • 11 Years
              6 years, 10 months ago

Yea really annoying. And then you never know if someone like Pukki turns into Mitrovic of last season... Think Ill bite the bullet on Mount and Abraham after the Liverpool game but stay off Pukki personally.

            2. SADIO SANÉ
              • 11 Years
              6 years, 10 months ago

things snowball too, I would have got Tammy instead of Kane in GW3 and my other moves since then would have been completely different - one mistake can turn into about 10 haha - don't worry about it though, just try to pick the players 'most likely to return' and forget about ownership completely. If City had won 4-0 yesterday I wouldn't be complaining, that's just how it goes sometimes.

remember this is a marathon and not a sprint, PLENTY of points to be won and remember that a lot of those in the 10k right now have used most of their chips and won't be there at the end of the season.

I just get on with it, it used to bother me a lot when a gameweek went badly and I would think of giving up but few things in my life happened and I start to take a look at life differently.

I don't give up, I just keep going. What's a bad start/season anyway? rank means nothing unless you are finishing top. Top 50k, top 10k, top 1k. Who really cares?

Wildcard before GW8 using all the available information. Then start taking punts on captains as that is how you really get the big points to catch up.

    Best 4.5m defender?

Pity Soyuncu had a price rise need 3.0m in the bank to be safe to get Tammy (7.3) for Wickham (4.5) next week. Think he'll rise by another 0.2m before I can get him in.
