It has been an eventful 12 hours at Tottenham Hotspur as they lost and gained a head coach quite literally overnight.

On Tuesday evening it was announced that Mauricio Pochettino had been sacked from his position at the north London club after five and a half years in charge.

That came after Spurs had managed just three wins and five draws from their opening 12 Premier League matches of the season, a record good enough only for 14th place.

Their Champions League campaign was also not without its problems, epitomised in a 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich earlier this season.

Just as the football world was reeling from the surprise departure on their way into bed, we all emerged the next morning to an arguably even more seismic development.

Jose Mourinho is back.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United manager was appointed Spurs’ new head coach in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Whether he has the desired effect there, after his two most recent managerial spells ended sourly, remains to be seen.

However, it should all make for interesting viewing when his new side travel to West Ham in Gameweek 13…

“I am excited to be joining a Club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters. The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.” – Jose Mourinho

We will do our best to bring you a Scout Report on Jose Mourinho, and what we believe he will bring to Spurs, as soon as possible.

No. Will get Henderson for SHU cover from gw15. May not be covering Lundstram's score if he continues like this but I plan to play 3-4-3 for quite some time.

He's a box-to-box midfielder! He has attacking threat plus he's playing on a team who are keeping clean sheets, he's heavily owned and has great fixtures. Put him in your team and stop messing around LOL

Im not on WC but think it would be:

      Henderson/Ryan, Button
      TAA, Lundstram, Soyoncu, Tomori*, Rico
      Mane, Salah*, Maddison, Martial, Hayden
      Vardy, Jimenez, Abraham

      * if Salah is fit otherwise KDB and maybe Robbo instead of Tomori

Only question for me would be Jim in 343 or Pulisic in 352.

I've got this team currently, due to team value though I've got Janmaat and Gazzaniga over Tomori and GK.
Been a very hard choice to make between Jim and Pulisic.
Took KDB which I regret so I don't want to bring him back in for 0.4 more, which would probably lead me to Son if Salah is out.

Hello! I've asked this quite sometimes over the past some days but think I will go with option A. Good?

    2FT/0.4ITB

    Pope
    TAA, Lundstram, Janmaat, Rico, Soyuncu
    Sterling, KdB, Mane, Mount, Martial
    Tammy, Jimenez, Connolly

    A) Rico, Sterling, Connolly -> Robbo, Hayden, Vardy (-4)
    B) Sterling -> Salah
    C) Mount, Jiminez -> Hayden, Vardy
    D) Sterling, Connolly -> Vardy, Hayden/Dendonk ( and get Robbo next week)
    E) Something else?

Well it's possible, but no means definite. In his 17 league games for Utd last season, there were only two clean sheets.

The tools at his disposal at Spurs are much better though. Toby/Vert/Sanchez as opposed to Jones/Smalling/Young etc...

Depends on whether Toby and Vert are galvanised by his arrival. They are running down their contracts for one big final pay-day, and presumably have plans already for next season's free transfer when contracts expire. Erikson also likely to be underwhelmed, so a midfield of Jose picks like Dyer, Winks and Sissoko means goals may be at a premium. Whilst this may imply clean sheets more likely, a couple of nil-nils will have the crowd on his back. I just can't see it being a breeze in the park.

Think Mourinho will encourage him to play like his more traditional centre forwards in the past (Drogba, Lukaku) and keep him closer to the opposition box. Think this will only help Kane.

Interesting article on the potential return of Pogba soon, if he does start at 10 and even slightly cares, he could become a very good option. He was scoring and assisting regularly from there when Ole first joined and was a constant threat in and around the box.
