This week is pivotal for Fantasy managers as they look to navigate their way through a tricky set of fixtures as the season nears its conclusion.

The midweek announcement of a Double Gameweek 29 for Manchester City and Arsenal is among the key developments that our Scoutcast trio of Joe, Pranil (Lateriser12) and Az discuss in this busy episode of the Scoutcast.

They are also keeping a close eye on how Blank Gameweek 31 is shaping up, with this latest episode broadcast on Tuesday during Liverpool’s defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup .

The deployment of chips will clearly be crucial in the Gameweeks ahead, so our trio look to cover as many permutations as they can.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of other topics to consider, including the ‘form versus fixtures’ debate that Southampton and Everton’s strikers are creating.

Teams and players who are highly motivated also come under scrutiny, with relegation and European places still up for grabs. In contrast, those already dreaming of their holidays are also debated in their chat.

The ‘Rough with the Smooth’ round-up of your Gameweek 28 scores focuses on how Leicester’s wavering form has been a hindrance for some and a blessing to others.

Az takes his turn to pick a differential, with a former favourite firmly in his sights.

Clean sheets get an airing and the Scoutcast crew round up proceedings with a look at their transfer and captaincy plans for Gameweek 29.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notified of future live episodes.

In addition, the Scoutcast and all our other podcasts are now also available via our Soundcloud channel.

I have got 9 players playing at home against lower half sides.
    3 LIV, 2 WOL, 2 SOU, 2 LEI.
Then I have KDB and Bruno.
I was going to save my free transfer.

I don't see big justification in getting a City or Arsenal player in, given their opponents and that they blank in 31.
I have free hit and wildcard left. I could use them in 31, 34 or 37.
If I get a City or Arsenal player, it pushes me towards using a chip in gw31.
I might just save, I think I can make better use of it next week by having 2 free transfers and leaving my chip options more open.

Crazy to get any players in for a hit for single game when they blank two GW later in my opinion. City will have massive rotation and Arsenal will do nothing in game two.

Wasn't thinking of a hit although many players would require it.

    2. @persecuted_by_mods

Arsenal play a lower half side at home too, but then have an extra fixture

City can score in any fixture so KDB is a must. 2 should be enough

Yea kinda agree re city & arsenal.
        No defenders u would fancy
maybe pepe from arsenal midfield and city is a lottery if you get any (kdb aside) ur probably thinking mahrez
Forwards will kun & jesus play x 2?
Is aubameyang worth it when one game is v city?
Certainly not worth a -4 and if u arent using fh in 31 then ur likely taking whoever u bring in out again in 2 weeks time anyway

      Plan B:
      Gw 29: Vardy + Ings > Auba + Jota (-4)
      Gw 30: Gomez + Traore > Doherty + Sarr (-4)

      Hendo Pope
      TAA Gomez Egan Basham Taylor

Are there any other DGWs aside from this one that we expect soon? Is it just BGW 31 that people are planning around?

A question that pertains to my team is - if i feel good about having plenty of GW 31 starters, is it potentially a good idea to use Free hit now and save Bench Boost and Wildcard for a little down the road?
--- worth mentioning I have 0 arsenal and city players

Currently have 7 players for GW31. With 2 more FT available to me until GW31 I will be able to field 9 players. Is it worth taking a hit or two over the next couple of weeks so that I can field 10 or 11 players? If yes, I'm probably better off taking the hits sooner rather than later so I can benefit from the new players, right? Thoughts?

Personally going KDB since I expect alot of Auba owners and hoping for a double cleaner to go wiv attacking returns , difficult but possible.
expecting minutes managed though given both play on Sat following their midweek clash.
