With the FA Cup resuming this weekend, the spectre of rotation looms larger than ever in Gameweek 32+ and beyond.

With five substitutes allowed and fixtures arriving swiftly, ever-changing teamsheets are a trend that Fantasy Premier League managers are already having to adjust to.

Joe and Andy look ahead to how the FA Cup is set to affect FPL planning. This is something of particular concern to those like Joe, who are still pinning their hopes on a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m) goal or two.

Given the goal-scoring success of both Manchester clubs in recent weeks, our duo also considers how to fit in the array of enticing forwards from the city.

Spurs assets are also on the bill. They have enticing fixtures and players for the run-in, but how do we fit them all in?

Then there’s Liverpool to consider. They’ve won the league, but which of their stars will start in the league over the coming weeks?

Elsewhere, Joe and Andy look back on their mixed fortunes in Gameweek 31+ and ahead to the upcoming fixtures, including their captaincy and transfer plans.

Andy takes his turn to pick a differential, and there are clean sheets to consider as they look to juggle their rotation worries and plot to secure the services of players with a high points ceiling. Tough times ahead.

This podcast was recorded on the morning of June 26, just after Liverpool were confirmed as Premier League champions. Congratulations to them and their patient fans.

    DCL + Doucoure --> Nketiah + Pulisic (-4)

    Worth the hit?

I'd play Doucoure. He should start against Southampton.

Thing is I'm hoping to do Auba --> Rashford next week

You dont think Pulisic against West Ham is a good option compared to DCL against Leicester?

I'd rather have Pulisic this week for sure, but DCL is nailed whereas long term Pulisic isn't.

Doucoure. Newcastle have to travel to Bournemouth after playing Man City.

    Pope
    Ward Doherty Aurier
    KDB Mané Son Fernandes
    Jimenez DCL Nketiah

    3.9 Armstrong TAA Lascelles

Considering a -4 by Martial and Pulisic by Mané and Armstrong. Worth it?

City v Liverpool should have goals on both sides. CPL is well rated for CS. Yeah, I would play 3-5-2 and Nketiah, who is not 100% sure to start, would be bench

Watford fans - do we know who is the most nailed-on defender?

West Ham fans - is Noble purely a penalty taker or does he carry some open play threat?

I’m not Watford fan but Kiko seems to be the most nailed on. Janmaat out of season

Dawson played right back for a long time with Mariappa coming to CB position. I'm not sure if Kiko is nailed as Shakespeare talked about his injury history last week when he was subbed off.

Purely penalty taker. Also, he hasn't got the legs at his age to sustain all the minutes that are coming thick and fast at this stage. Plus west Ham are crap. Avoid is my opinion

I bought him before 31+ but never really 'believed' in him as an FPL asset so moved him on for Martial during this window. You have to have confidence in the players you own and I dont have when it comes to him.

    Repost from old article:

    Nyland (Leno)
    Doherty AWB PvA (Egan Lascelles)
    KdB Son Alli Bruno Martial
    Vardy Jimenez (McBurnie)

I have the above squad right now and plan to WC to the squad below after the cup games. Who would you punt on for one GW in the interim? A Nyland upgrade or a Vardy replacement?

    Lloris Gazzaniga

It's the security of minutes and the pens mainly, but also his shots were from good positions against West Ham. And he tends to finish seasons well, a certain GW37 hattrick against Leicester comes to mind.

Yes I will probably do that. Hoping a 3.8m def comes about.

Mane and Salah will be subbed late on in the game.

Klopp will want to keep the winning mentality going. Still only one match lost the whole season which is incredible. Why would Klopp want to derail a season even being champions now?

        1. Rover
          • 9 Years

But frankly, having one of Mane/Salah plus one of Oxlade/Minamino/Shaqiri is still a very strong side that will continue winning. There is absolutely no reason to start Mane and Salah in every game from now. In fact I expect them to get "the day off" here and there with no sub appearance either. If you own one of them then it is like playing Pep roulette. If you own both, is that worth 25m I don't think so.

    Hi everyone,

For once I'm having a massive season, on a WC and going a bit harder on the boom or bust defenders - my risk is going without Liverpool and holding Pulisic...
