Ownership is often discussed within the Fantasy Premier League community.

Is a player so highly owned that it’s a risk to sell? Does a player have low enough ownership to consider them as a true differential? These are just some of the conversations FPL managers will have over 38 Gameweeks.

A lot of the time FPL managers will look for differentials under 10% ownership, or preferably under 5% ownership, but I think a player can have 30-40% ownership and still be considered a differential.

At that level of ownership, every six or seven managers out of 10 don’t own that player – that’s still big in my books, especially if the player mentioned is a reliable heavy hitter. When you factor in captaincy, you could be onto a winner.

In this article, I’m going to look at the top 10,000 ownership levels from Live FPL to see if we can determine who might be some of the best differentials going into the final two Gameweeks of the season.

I’m using top 10,000 ownership is I think that’s a better indicator at this stage of the season of active FPL manager ownership than overall ownership, which may include some teams that are no longer active.

Additionally, it’s where a lot of people are striving to finish by the end of the season.

It’s also worth noting that these ownership levels are taken from Gameweek 36+. Any transfers before Gameweek 37+ won’t be included so it’s possible that ownership levels could be higher or lower, especially if a player has performed well, or poorly in the recent Gameweek, and of course dependent on upcoming fixtures. But either way, it’s still a good indicator.

Lets take a look at some of the most popular teams first.

FPL Lessons Learned From Gameweek 36+

Morning fellow deadzoners, doesn’t look like Holgate is going to make the last two games and want to plan for a BB in GW38. Already made a transfer this week so want to get a replacement in for a hit so which would you go for: Tierney or Egan considering their fixtures?

This is for next gw, right? If so, why not just wait until next gw to do it.

I prefer Egan this gw and tierney the next.

I just watched some old epl highlights and remembered how good Ross Barkley was in his breakthrough season at Everton. I could have sworn then that he was the blue half of Merseyside answer to Steven gerrard. It’s a bit disappointing how his career ended

Who would be the 1 player you would want this week who isn't in the team below?
Going to FH in 38. So transfer this week can be a 1 week punt. Thinking Salah or Sterling in for Willian? Wood, Kane or Auba?

    Pope, Martin
    TAA, Doherty, Saiss, Kiko, Lascelles
    KDB, Martial, Bruno, Willian, Foden
    Ings, Jimenez, Greenwood

People selling Vardy this GW will burn !
Re wood, i have seen Norwich recently. They don't win a single ball in the box !

Wood is a Bonafide ariel threat. Pens too since Barnes not playing atm. Scored a brace in reverse fixture.

Norwich are soft & Burnley will target that for sure. If not goals Wood will win balls for others to score IMHO. They were bullied by Chelsea players who aren't the most physical teams present around. So i was definitely getting one of Tarkowski or Wood this GW

To bench Greenwood this week or not...

His last 2 games were blank but...
Up against Southampton who were the better team on the night they had Redmond and Bertrand up that left wing. Way better than the crap United were beating the weeks before that.
Against Palace he had PVa and Zaha up against him, and his main weakness is tracking back, not hard to see why he was subbed off in both games.
Now he has West Ham. Likely Cresswell and Fornals/Lanzini... probably West Ham's weakest point on the pitch right now. Also i'd expect Moyes to bring a hard-to-bear defensive approach to the game where tracking back doesn't factor in as much as the previous 2.

    Bench Willian or Greenwood?

    Repost.

Hey guys, a bit unsure what to do here, have 2FT and FH left so have to use both TFs this GW. 0.5 left ITB.

    Pope - 3.9
    TAA - Doherty - Taylor - Kiko - 3.9
    Salah - KDB - Sterling - Foden - Bruno
    Rashford - Greenwood - DCL

Taylor is injured so maybe that’s one TF so I don’t have to play Kiko vs. City?

    Thank you

    Bench one defender:

    1) Doherty
    2) Saiss (Wolves double up)
    3) TAA
    4: Bardsley

Kane/Jesus over Vardy or Son over Willian? For a 4 point hit?

      Neither worth a hit

Foden. I always favor the attacker

re Danny Ings... what a season, and fair play to him getting and largely staying fit. 20 goals and counting is no mean feat, he’s a quality player and goalscorer when he gets going.

And if he can do that while largely carrying Southampton on his back, you’d have to think Spurs, Arsenal (if Auba left especially), even City dare I say it could benefit. He’s a better player than Jesus.

I really hope he can stay healthy for another season and get's moved on. Even beyond the goals, his work rate and influence is huge. Massive respect for the guy. What a season indeed.

My claim to fame was he was in my GW1 team. Along with Vardy 🙂

My claim to shame is I got rid of him on early WC 🙁

(In fairness he only started 3 of the first 6 games, other strikers were firing & it looked like the fitness demons were winning)

We Both re-United in the end though and enjoyed some good times

If you had a bench boost and a triple captain left, which one would you use for each week, and why?

Really depends on your team and their fixtures
