Ownership is often discussed within the Fantasy Premier League community.

Is a player so highly owned that it’s a risk to sell? Does a player have low enough ownership to consider them as a true differential? These are just some of the conversations FPL managers will have over 38 Gameweeks.

A lot of the time FPL managers will look for differentials under 10% ownership, or preferably under 5% ownership, but I think a player can have 30-40% ownership and still be considered a differential.

At that level of ownership, every six or seven managers out of 10 don’t own that player – that’s still big in my books, especially if the player mentioned is a reliable heavy hitter. When you factor in captaincy, you could be onto a winner.

In this article, I’m going to look at the top 10,000 ownership levels from Live FPL to see if we can determine who might be some of the best differentials going into the final two Gameweeks of the season.

I’m using top 10,000 ownership is I think that’s a better indicator at this stage of the season of active FPL manager ownership than overall ownership, which may include some teams that are no longer active.

Additionally, it’s where a lot of people are striving to finish by the end of the season.

It’s also worth noting that these ownership levels are taken from Gameweek 36+. Any transfers before Gameweek 37+ won’t be included so it’s possible that ownership levels could be higher or lower, especially if a player has performed well, or poorly in the recent Gameweek, and of course dependent on upcoming fixtures. But either way, it’s still a good indicator.

Lets take a look at some of the most popular teams first.

FPL Lessons Learned From Gameweek 36+

    Start Maguire or Antonio??

Antonio is playing well. Must start vs what will likely be a knackered United.

Antonio has the bigger upside, but Maguire to play it safe and if you’re leading

So if you were "chasing" you would play the lower upside player??

I am Utd fan and it is very likely that Martial will go mental this week. Something changed in him, I don't see the lazy shitty Tony anymore... Believe me, you must have captain band on him this week.

By the way how to get Martial (c) in? Have 1 FT and 2.4m itb.

    Pope Button
    Maguire TAA Doherty Saiss Lascelles
    Salah KDB Bruno Pulisic Foden
    Vardy Ings Greenwood

Currently thinking Maguire + Pulisic to Tarkowski + Martial for -4

    1. Pinturicchio10

Why not? I followed Utd and Martial more than you and most people here.

        1. Pinturicchio10
          6 years, 2 months ago

Not difficult to follow him more than me mate I dont even watch football aside from the odd few highlights here and there.

You're also late to the party. 113pts missed out on 😉

Wont captain him this week myself despite him being a killer for me recently.

            • 9 Years
            6 years, 2 months ago

Anyone who watched Martial knows that he was either super hot or super cold, prime Mbappe on his day but suddenly become Solanke when not on his mood. That is why I was afraid to get him in after his hattrick.

Recenly I have realized that he changed his behaviour, probably motivated by Ole. I seen him pressing a lot, pissed off when subbed winning 3-0, winning battles in midfield etc...

I think I really need him to be in top 100 this season. Going without Martial is very risky this week

    2. Pinturicchio10
      6 years, 2 months ago

      Pulisic -> Martial simple.

Hold Pulisic - Liverpool defence is right off atm

Maguire Foden is where I'd go. You can then shift Martial on for Dilva in 38. City over United in 38 surely and feels unlikely that Foden gets that one

I agree, I can do Maguire + Foden to Egan + Martial for -4. However I will have benching problem... currently benching Foden.

. 1 off getting sterling in for Pulisic. Need a 4.6 defender to do this. So frustrating, 4.7 gets you some really good options and I can match my mini league chaser. But 4.6....

    DDG
TAA Alonso Saiss (Holgate - Lascelles)
    KDB Salah Bruno pulisic Foden
    Greenwood Vardy (DCL)

Best transfer, behind by 20pt in my ML:
A- DCL > Ings and bench pulisic
    B- Pulisic > DSilva
    C- Vardy > Auba
    D- Alonso + DCL > Tarkowski + Ings (-4)
    E- DDG + Pulisic > Ederson + Martial (-4)

Will we get starting lineups early in 38? Original plan was to BB in 38 and TC in 37, but worried about minutes if I put it on KDB/Sterling/Mahrez this week. Slightly weaker bench fixture wise in 37 and would cost an extra -4 but it might be worth it to TC a starter for City vs Norwich. Always could put it on Martial/Bruno this week as well.

I thought the fact that he’s not played more than 30mins since the restart was due to the hip Injury he got against QPR during lockdown. Maybe I got the wrong end of the stick and he was genuinely benched. Either way I could see him getting some time in the remaining games.

Saiss or Egan. May depend on your ML if you are in one.

Play 3 (at least one Defender):
    A) Digne (SHU a)
    B) TAA (CHE h)
    C) Egan ( EVE h)
    D) Foden (WAT a)
    E) Willian (LIV a)
    F) Greenwood (WHU h)

Currently on ACD. But it changes by the minute.

    Thanks for any input 🙂
