Ownership is often discussed within the Fantasy Premier League community.

Is a player so highly owned that it’s a risk to sell? Does a player have low enough ownership to consider them as a true differential? These are just some of the conversations FPL managers will have over 38 Gameweeks.

A lot of the time FPL managers will look for differentials under 10% ownership, or preferably under 5% ownership, but I think a player can have 30-40% ownership and still be considered a differential.

At that level of ownership, every six or seven managers out of 10 don’t own that player – that’s still big in my books, especially if the player mentioned is a reliable heavy hitter. When you factor in captaincy, you could be onto a winner.

In this article, I’m going to look at the top 10,000 ownership levels from Live FPL to see if we can determine who might be some of the best differentials going into the final two Gameweeks of the season.

I’m using top 10,000 ownership is I think that’s a better indicator at this stage of the season of active FPL manager ownership than overall ownership, which may include some teams that are no longer active.

Additionally, it’s where a lot of people are striving to finish by the end of the season.

It’s also worth noting that these ownership levels are taken from Gameweek 36+. Any transfers before Gameweek 37+ won’t be included so it’s possible that ownership levels could be higher or lower, especially if a player has performed well, or poorly in the recent Gameweek, and of course dependent on upcoming fixtures. But either way, it’s still a good indicator.

Lets take a look at some of the most popular teams first.

FPL Lessons Learned From Gameweek 36+

Like it if you’re chasing and you are bolstering attack
      Solid move
Long has to start both games
Good in the air v Norwich also

Cheers. The extra funds will give me a straightforward route to Auba and one of Sterling/Dilva for a single hit, plus Everton defence & Digne have looked very ropey in past few games.

But you’ll absolute want in on the auba and city idea if you see rivals going this way

      My plan was Dilva 38
Last home game ; of which most of you refer to . I actually now expect he would start any cup final soon after and be looked at as champions league
So I think he will miss Arse and 37 but guess work

He won't necessarily start cup final. When every1 is fit, Dilva doesn't make the strongest 11 anymore!

No matter how you look at it. There is always an alternative st Citeh. If you need to take chances ( and that is the main reason for rank drops imo) then a move to Dilva from KDB could be good. Other high owned players high for a reason.

    Need some advice lads,

I’m 11points of Top 10k and trailing my ML by 20 points.

    Fabianski
    Trent / Doherty / Aurier
    Mahrez / KDB / Bruno / Pulisic / Antonio
    Giroud / Jesus

    (Button / Alonso / Nketiah / Simpson)

    1FT - 2.2itb

Thinking to take a punt on Wood for Giroud but Martial worry’s me.

    A. Giroud > Wood
    B. Giroud > Ings
    C. Pulisic + Giroud > Martial + Ings (-4)
    D. Antonio + Giroud > Martial + Ings (-4)
    E. Pulisic + Giroud > Son + Wood (-4)

    Cheers.

Traore plays on the right no?

Palace are - once again - down to beyond the bare bones at the back with no recognised LB.

Could be a great differential even off the bench.

The one caveat is that PvA is pretty ho hum in defence anyway so the emergency stand in - probably Riedewald - may not be that much of a downgrade.

Debating TC 37 or 38 and worried about putting it on KDB/Sterling/Mahrez what with Pep's rotation. Better bench in 38 but would much rather a guaranteed start vs Norwich from one of those for TC. Could always put it on Martial/Bruno this week as well.

If that’s what you think then go with your gut.

Burnley have only conceded in one game since the restart, and are generally pretty tight and well organised at the back so can’t see Norwich scoring myself

I'd question the motivation of Burnely players and since only 2 days gap between the matches, they won't be pressing as they have done against some big teams. Norwich meanwhile are playing their last home game (not sure how much it matters without the crowd tho). I think they'll get something.

        Aurier won't play right? One.
Willian needs to go, for syerling or dilva, both probably worth the hit, if they start.
        Vardy needed for funds.

I know what you're saying but imho all these transfers could pay off. Slightly worried whether Dilva starts, in which case the transfers would have to be Bardsley, Sterling, Wood

I have no bench and Iheanaucho in my team so need to get rid. I could do to Gayle but has Liverpool last game. I am thinking TAA > Tarkowskii and Iheanacho > Ings for a hit. I think these could score more over two games. Thoughts?

My initial thought was Iheanacho to Wood but couldn’t afford it. Just think Ings could get a goal in each game and 18 points. Also Tarkowski could score big against Norwich and Brighton to warrant the hit.

1ft this week. Which of these transfers should I choose this week, with the next occurring in Gw38. Alternatively I could hold this week and do both next week
    A) pulisic >> d silva
    B) vardy >> Jesus

Personally I would be leaning towards pully to Mahrez but god knows with city.

Very difficult but I'd say Dilva is a cert for 38. If Ihad to choose I'd probably go for Dilva this week. Depends on who you think will appear in the cup. Can't see Dilva playing all 3 matches. (or 4 with FA Cup final)

Goals conceded in the last 4

Palace stand out here as having conceded more than anyone else - that factors out the thrashing at Anfield too. Other teams right up there have had City fuelled pastings.

Jim to Kane in 38 looks plum

Guess, I will just play Dawson and hope he gets some attacking return.

playing BB this week and have C.Taylor out.

    A) C.Taylor ➡ Pieters/Long
    B) Vardy ➡ Auba (play with 14 on BB)
    C) C.Taylor & Vardy ➡ Pieters/Long & Auba (-4)
    ..?

1 FT, 2.7 ITB, BB left. Way off the pace in ML so feeling punty. But how to punt?

    Pope / Martinez
    AWB / Doherty / Saiss / Lascelles* / Aurier
    Salah / Willian / Saka / Martial (c) / Mahrez
    Vardy / Greenwood / Jimenez

    A) get 2 replacements for Aurier and Lascelles and BB
    B) save the FT and BB next week
    C) get rid of Vardy, Willian, Lascelles and Aurier and BB now
    D) get rid of one of Vardy or Willian - have a feeling Vardy will do well against Spurs/Man United defences(?)
