Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to be partnering with Sky Sports Fantasy Football this season and bringing you even more content on the popular, free-to-enter game itself.

The site is already open for registration for 2020/21, so you can head over there now and begin picking your team – or teams plural, as Sky allows you to manage a second XI.

A whopping £50,000 is on offer to the game’s winner next season, with cash prizes of £5,000 and £1,000 dished out to those managers finishing in the other two podium places.

How Do I Play?

Just like in Fantasy Premier League, managers select a team of players that will either earn attacking, defensive or bonus points in an attempt to score more than friends, colleagues and/or the rest of the world.

However, this is not a squad-based game: you simply choose a starting XI and do not have a bench.

We have already produced a beginner’s guide which delves deeper into the rules and scoring system – this can be accessed by clicking below.

https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/08/23/how-to-play-sky-sports-fantasy-football-a-beginners-guide/

Join Our FFScout Mini-League

There are a number of different ways to compete against others in the Sky Sports game, one of which is a Free League.

We have already set up our annual, free-to-enter Fantasy Football Scout mini-league, which you can enter by heading to the ‘Leagues’ tab and clicking ‘Join+’.

The full details are below:

League Name: FFScout
League Pin: 8482750

If you want to set up a money league with your friends, family and/or colleagues, Sky Sports can actually administer that for you to avoid any post-season awkwardness.

You can choose the entry fee (either £2, £5, £10 or £20 per person) and the prize structure beforehand, with Sky Sports taking care of the rest.

WATCH LUKE AND JOE’S GUIDE TO THE PLAYER PRICES

Our very own Luke and Joe have already gone through the player price list on a team-by-team basis in a YouTube video, which can be viewed below:

What’s To Come

We’ll have more articles to come before the season starts, with one focusing on the stand-out defensive picks and another on the attacking assets up for consideration.

We’ll also continue to provide features and tips throughout 2020/21 once the action gets underway.

In the meantime, head over to our Premium Members Area to see which players will potentially benefit from the Sky Sports bonus on offer for saves, tackles, passes and shots on target.

You can also read our interview with last year’s Sky Sports Fantasy Football champion, Liam Dorrian, who offers insight into his success.

Bellerin nailed with AMN on his way out? Could be amazing value at £5.0m if he can discover his 2016 form and is playing an advanced wingback role.

Think he’s potentially a great option, should be good for 6 goal involvements and 10+ CS’s

Cedric played quite a few games at the tail-end of last season and Bellerin was getting hammered by Arsenal fans on Twitter the other day when the AMN news came out.

FPL should make Messi into 2 players and have his assists and goals separated by these 2 players at 2 different prices. If they add him normally and it's anything below 16.0 it's completely ruined the game for everyone.

Remind me how city got on in their midweek away game to Burnley last season?

The 'La Liga is a weaker league than the PL' argument is a joke. City routinely smash the living daylights out of teams and score 100+ goals a season in the PL.

I'd have 2 Messi's. One at 11.5 and you only get points for goals and one at 10.0 and you only get points for assists and you cannot own both.

      Lol, 16 million?

      Messi and 4.5 mid = 20.5.
      KDB and Son = 20.5

It's not difficult to work out how absurd your argument is.
Btw, KDB and Son got a combined 24 goals and a 34 fantasy assist last year, plus 25 clean sheet points.

Messi is the best in the world but he isn't going to cost more than 14. He is 33.

      1. Fudgy
        • 6 Years
        6 years, 22 days ago

Messi will get about 25 goals and 20 assists and 3 bonus every game and constant returns as a captain. He will easily out perform KDB and Son with a 4.5 next to him. Only way KDB and Son is better is if you constantly nail the captain which you will not.

Are you assuming Messi will like Pep roulette? There is no way at 33 that he would start every week at City. He will play less games that KDB and Sterling. He won't like it. He is better at UTD as they don't rotate!

If Messi gets 25 goals and 20 assists, he will end up with 300-310 points.

How is that worth 16 mil? It's just basic maths.

KDB hit 250 last season with 13 goals and 23 assists. He might well break Salah's record of 302 points from 32 goals and 12 assists, but your expectation isn't worth 16mi.

And you seem to assume a perfect transition to a different league. Pep will also rest and protect him in a way that no Barca manager would dare too, especially at the present time.

The whole point of this is that 16 is too high. Virtually every manager would have him at 13.5. It doesn't take a genius - it is Messi.

And my reply re. Garcia was in response to the Pukki comment. The Premier League isn't easier to score in than La Liga - I'd argue that it is more physical and generally tougher defensively.

His 'numbers' are not really relevant to his potential FPL price. If he were to cost say 12m he'd have 200% EO as everyone would own him and perma-captain him, making the game dull. FPL Towers need to estimate at what price less than 50% would consider buying him. Given the number of knee-jerkers on this site over the last 2 days who say they'd have him at whatever price plus all the casuals, I'd say that figure has to be nearer 15m. If you're saying 'Woah, at 15m I don't think I'll get him', then that's the sweetspot, not less.

Of course they are - people want to buy him because of the consistency he's shown and the ridiculous numbers he's put up over the past 10 years. That's where the demand is coming from. If Ronaldo and Henry had the same numbers as Messi (which was the post I was replying to), you'd expect greater demand and therefore could justify a higher price.

I agree that his price should be 14 minimum, maybe 15.

The problem with Brewster is that you are blocking a Liverpool slot. He will probably be the best 4.5 on the game but baring injury, he will rarely start. And pre-season gives many false dawns (Yaya Sanogo)

May have all 4 but Bruno priority.

Jim also a long term hold for me but early ones poor and he won’t rise much anyway.

Do you plan on Doherty? I’m seeing Mitro plus 4.5 equals Doherty from 3 - with luck

        Werner, Mitro

Other option would be Egan, Green, Jimi.

I'm settled on this, tried exploring different options to get in the premiums in midfield. trying to prevent using any chips so early in the season:

    McCarthy
    Saiss, Vinagre, KWP, Saliba, Justin
    Aub, Ziyech, Son
    Wickham, Jimenez

    (Nyland, Brewster, Bruno, KDB)

    Thoughts?

Will revert my team to this from GW 2/3:

          McCarthy
          Saiss, Vinagre, KWP, Justin
          Aub, Ziyech, Son, Bruno, KDB
          Jimenez

          (Nyland, Brewster, Wicham, Saliba)

Can then also offload one of my premium midfielders and cheap forwards for a striker upgrade to partner Jimenez once we start to see form and patterns emerging.

Messi moving to the PL at this stage in his career would be madness on his part.

Only realistic possibility would be PSG where he would have guaranteed league titles, champions league football, same wages and not get kicked to bits by PL hatchet man.

Biased as a Chelsea fan but our xG against had us firmly 5th in terms of would-be defences in a Kepaless world... which we will be living in relatively soon. As a result, Jimenez's fixtures look nicer. 2 promoted sides, a west ham who scraped it, and a sheffield with poor restart performances.

From pure FPL view I wouldn't like Messi in Premier League... If he's not priced at 15m or more that would probably mean the majority of players will have him and captain most often (probably rightly so) and that would also mean less diversity and fewer opportunities to gain advantage...

    1. Goonsquad245

So Aguero arrived at City when he was 33?

Like I said, not saying Messi won't do well but PL at 33 vs La Liga 33.

            Inconclusive.

Conveniently forgetting Falcao's horrible injuries at Monaco.

He's not forgetting them, I just think he doesn't have any football knowledge and doesn't even know about them

Falcao was a beast at Manaco irrespective of injury.

        83 goals in 140 apps.

Am i the only hoping Messi doesn't come to PL? Not sure I can take weeks of the comments being full about him being over/under priced.

It's a shame that A) Chelsea can't defend and B) Chillwell is injured because he would be quite a fun pick apart from those two relatively important factors

Keeper and we're set. Underlying stats show just how awful Kepa was- there will be Chelsea value in all three positions at some point

I’ve moved Fernandes to Salah and downgraded Doherty to Dier .
So I’m only benching Martial now.

    McCarthy
    TAA,Dier,Walker Peters,4.5?
    Salah,Aubamayang,Son,Richie,Soucek
    Werner

    Button,Martial,Johnson,Davis

Salah > Fernandes in GW 2
    Aubamayang > KDB GW 3.
Will give 2m to upgrade a defender or my 4th MF in wk 4

I like your planned moves though, looking to do something similar. Salah will be tough to get rid of if he starts off with a bang thoughm

Yeh I really want Martial and Bruno for those fixtures.
            Richie and Soucek will rotate.

Really want to start without Salah but he’s the best placeholder for Bruno for GW 1.
Unless I have Ings as a place holder for Martial.

While Messi doesn't come, let us focus on what matters:

    Do we think Saliba plays?
Who's the best 4.0 defender now that Ferguson doesn't seem to be the one?
    Is BDavies nailed for Spurs?

I have Mitchell and Douglas in my draft atm... albeit on the bench.

      1. Gabriel imminent; even if Saliba starts on Saturday, I couldn't be sure he's nailed.
      2. The other Palace one, Mitchell, but it could change daily.
Just read Spuds in for Doherty, so maybe not!

It was prime henry and current messi and only in fpl terms. Messi numbers last year and henry best season numbers at arsenal identical. Messi obviously better in real life. Sorry to offend
