A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

How is this for a WC team?

    Martinez - Steer
    TAA - Robbo - Taylor - Lamptey - Mitchell
    KDB - Sterling - Son - Podence - Anguissa
    Jimenez - DCL - Mitro
    0.3 itb

Could switch Robbo to James and Podence to Rodriguez.

Looks really good..would try and squeeze in a Wolves defender somehow though..would be happy to Play a Wolves defender over Mitrovic for the next 5

Thoughts on this WC much appreciated

    Martinez (steer)
    Taa James saiss (lamptey Mitchell)
    Kdb salah Foden Havertz Podence
    Jimi Ings (Brewster)

It’s nice, but I think I’d definitely like some toffee in there if I was wildcarding now...

apart from JRod and DCL who are you picking?
JRod you could pick however Podence at 5.5 is more value and with TAA/KDB/Salah/Jimi/Ings you have to chase value.

    2. Gabbiadini

almost identical to mine however I am...
Son and Wood over Foden and Havertz

Good thing about wildcarding in gw3 is that if my rivals want to get same team than I have they have to loan 1.0M from fpl.

Would have hoped even more price movement. Those who say team value doesnt matter

On the contrary your rivals will have much more information and can still build decent enough team value later on, esp. before an international break

I've been playing this game 10 years and I have never been able to capitalise on price rises.
Used my WC this week and still screwed up rises with my tinkering.

Next time you use your wc. Get the risers and players you might want. Finalise the team near deadline. Easy.

I have once made 0.5 for doing like this but back in those price movement were more volatile

Yeah. I used to wildcard during first int. break as a money maker but not worth it anymore.

Don't get it why Werner didnt drop and Hamez rose only once just to mention few

I could not believe my ears listening to Sky this morning.
Lampard was asked whether he had spoken to Kepa and Caballero about the signing of Mendy.
He replied "not yet. I will speak to them in the next 24 hours" Having already said Mendy won't be ready for selection, I find it amazing he talks about it on an interview without talking to his keepers.
I would not want to be part of that defense with their attitude, being the last to find out!
Conclusion; forget a clean sheet from Chelsea this weekend!

I am in doubt whether it's too short-term, heavy on City and risky with Mitchell and Brewster who may not play. How does the following look on a WC, thanks:

    Martínez
    Robertsen, James, Sâiss
Salah, KDB (C), Sterling (VC), Foden, Podence
    Jiménez, Mitrovic

    (Nyland, Lamptey, Mitchell, Brewster)

I think with B, short term risk is Vinagre. Then Justin and Mitchell too eventually. Having said that, Justin and Mitchell are performing very vowel and if Palace and Lei continues to gets results then it would their spots to lose.

Zaha? Unplayable. He stays until at least transfer window closes 😛

If you will always captain KDB over Sterling then Salah is maybe a better option than Sterling. But even looking to GW4 city could put a lot past Leeds.

How is Jesus out injured affect other City assets?
Sterling will probably play more forward right? And any effect on Foden? Is Foden nailed?

Simply put, would you rather upgrade Podende to Foden or keep 1M in the bank on WC?

        Martinez Forster
        Robbo Saiss James Lamptey Mitchell
        Sterling KDB Son Podende Angui
        Werner Jimmy 4.5

In your case I would actually Upgrade Anguissa. Wouldn't wanna go in with a 4.5, 4.5 and 4.0.

There's no other mid at 5.5 that I want and Soucek is a big trap

With your team I would personally make that upgrade to foden

    Should I take a -4 for KDB?

    McCarthy
    Digne Saiss KWP
    Salah Auba Son Podence
    Werner(c) Richa Mitro

    Ryan Justin Bissouma* Ferg*

How worried should I be with ZERO players from Liverpool, Wolves and Everton in my team at the moment?

      I'd be pretty worried

What does ur team look like

      1. sunzip14

        McCarthy
        AWB, Davies, KWP
        KDB, Barnes, Foden, Son
        Werner, Kane, Martial

        Steer, Mitchell, Justin, Bissouma

          I'd consider a wc tbh

Those players make up the backbone of most teams on here

    Folks, whats better here

    A: Salah + Podence + Foden + KDB or
    B: Sterling + Podence + 7.6m mid + KDB
    C: Son + Mahrez + Foden + KDB
    D: Son + Havertz + Foden + KDB

      B. Plenty of good mids in that 7.0 price range.

    A) Hold Auba
    B) Auba to KDB -4
    C) Auba to Raheem -4

I’m contemplating B, however I do already have Sterling.

I think it will go right to the wire as I’m trying to avoid hits where I can this season and already took a -4 post GW1...

Simply put Auba +4 has to be outscored by Sterling/KDB cuz I will anyways make the swap next week for free

Guys who are the best option:

Zaha (EVE, che, BHA, ful). Talisman in good form team vs not so tight oppositions.

Hames (cry, BHA, LIV, sou). Popular this week.

H.Barnes (mci, WHU, AVL, ars). Good stat, but against mci and ars.

Morning all, final decision for me and I'm a bit stuck.

Who do you fancy to score more over the next two?

    Son (New & United)
    Werner (WBA & Pal)

Yeah, this is a factor, hes played a lot of games in a short space of time, has to start feeling leggy soon.

Best 4.5 forward? Worries about Brewster not being transferred and rotting on my bench taking up a Liverpool slot

    1. Gabbiadini
      • 9 Years

      Brew is the best option.
If it is a big issue then consider 3 fwds and making the 4.5 a mid.

I think him not being in the squad for this week is a huge sign he leaves, with that said let's hope it is to another PL squad and not championship.
