Who are the best FPL captain options for Double Gameweek 19?

Fantasy Premier League managers are advised to target assets who play twice in the first Double Gameweek of the season when looking for their next captain.

With each of the current top four clubs, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester City, each playing twice during Double Gameweek 19, the most popular premium assets are leading the armband discussion.

As always, we have taken a look into the best options in great detail, using the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area to assess individual form and the state of their opponents’ defences.

CAPTAIN POLL

For the second week running, Manchester City’s maestro Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) leads the Fantasy Football Scout captain poll, this time with just over 37.0% of votes.

The Belgian shares the vast majority of votes with Mohamed Salah (£12.5m, 26.0%), who comes back into our consideration after missing out on a match in Blank Gameweek 18.

Bruno Fernandes (£11.3m, 7.0%), Jamie Vardy (£10.1m, 5.1%) and Tomas Soucek (£5.3m, 4%) complete this week’s top-five list.

In order to tackle this Double Gameweek captaincy debacle effectively, we will analyse Gameweek 19’s key teams and assets separately, as opposed to focusing on the key matches, as we usually do.

    Was all set for BB until Leeds fixture was cancelled and so now planning to hold onto in favour of adding DGW players

    Squad is currently.....(* = DGW)

    Already made 1FT bring in Antonio for DCL and have 1.4 in the bank.

    Clearly no KDB or City attack not ideal. To get KDB would require a hit of -8 and would need to ship Kane for a week and would cost me .3m to get back in. So options are....

    A - Jones > Soucek and bench Bamford (-4)
    B - Williams > Coufal or KWP > Cresswell and bench Bamford (-4)
    C - KWP & Jones > Mitchell & Foden and bench Bamford (-8)
    D - Sanchez to DGW Keeper Fab (risk), DDG, Martinez and play Bamford
    E - Stick and play Bamford
    F - Other
    and
    G - Get over the fact that KDB didn't take the pen in the week and Razza put it higher than Waddle!!!

    This is completely irrational and emotional, but I am probably going to TC Salah. I am ready to accept massive fail, but I am not scared of the use of the chip, and "keeping it for a better opportunity". Liverpool, two home games, team rested and ready to turn things around. Probably the KDB is the obvious option, and Mane is much more suited to this possession based style with a lot crosses, but I am going to support Mo in his dispute with Mane 🙂

        But I am not confident about KDB or Bruno either.

        All the talk about KDB's great underlying number, but why doesn't he finished off those chances? Also, the players around him? City could just be as happy with two 1:0, 2:0 victories, rather than going for absolute drubbing, and it's a question are they capable of it?

        Liverpool need to go big, or go home, they need to turn the things around, they will be rested and hungry, City will try to get two routine wins.

          I took hits to get mo in, to captain him for his 3 blanks in a row, which has left a sour taste in my mouth.

            Have the same feeling but on KDB. Had him for weeks while he did nothing really, and then sold before Everton (which was good that week, ok), only for him to haul vs Chelsea and get a bloody double! I was so pi**ed, now I am getting him back, but more because of the GW20 then just this double.
