Comedy to see all these BB19 teams with the benching issues they have now.

I mean I've seen people benching people who are prime options this week like Bamford, Antonio, AWB, Grealish, Coufal and many more besides.

I think I'd just sell them for Bissouma/Brewster whoever... just so I don't have that pain of seeing such (potentially) big scores on my bench 😉

Not the greatest top post and I also realize on reflection that I sound like a bit of a d**k laughing at others' sticky situation.

      Wasn't my intention 🙂

The only thing you said or did wrong was apologise ya nugget 🙂 . Upsetting a few snowflakes now and then should be part of anyone's lifes mission 😆

I have a benching headache now after my failed BB . I blame covid but in reality i haven't thought it through

On the plus side if you own Leeds players like most you will be set up for their possible double ? Not all bad

That doesnt mention they won't have a blank, just that we don't know when it will be.

They have played 1 less game, so they will have to have a double at some point.

Unless they tag on a gw 19 just for leeds, which won't happen.

Southampton beat Arsenal in the cup so Leeds vs Southampton can't be played in GW23 now. Leeds will have a double but not anytime soon now.

Yeah, that makes a lot more sense to me.

I read "they won't have a dgw" and I couldn't wrap my head around how Leeds who have extra fixtures would fit them into the current remaining gameweeks without this having a dgw at some point.

Of course they will, just not soon is the takeaway from the thread

Yeh which means holding Leeds players for the double no longer makes as much sense. If it was in 2 GW time then fine but earliest is probably now GW26 which feels like too long and there will be loads of teams doubling that week so plenty of options to choose from instead.

A good BB has that problem for the next 2-3 games. But this season those who used their BB now have an advantage because there are four games in twelve days.Strong bench would be really helpfull.

    Bench wilson/saka someone else?

Have kdb, will probably become gundo

    Awb - dias - cancelo - Cresswell
    Son - Bruno f - gundo (saka)
    Kane - Bamford (wilson)

    Zouma - soucek

    1. thegaffer82

I'd do the KDB > Gundy move and yes, I'd probably go with Saka, Wilson & Soucek on my bench too but it's a tough one for sure.

I'll have these benching issues later on the season when I play BB too... can't wait 🙁

I've got both as they are both great value. Gundy might end up being a short term pick whereas Grealish is definitely a good pick right until the end barring injury.

So Gundy short term, and Grealish long term

    Martinez
    Dias, Robertson, Dallas, Coufal
    Salah, Fernandes, KDB*, Grealish
    Bamford, Antonio
    Johnstone | Adams, Mitchell, Bissouma

    Q1: which transfer
    A) KDB -> Sterling
    B) KDB -> Gundogan to allow Adams -> Kane next week

    Q2. Who to bench?
    A) Dallas
    B) Coufal
    C) Adams

Q1? I would do B or Kdb to Son because I think you might regret not owning atleast 1 spurs especially since they’ll be heavily captained in GW21 and 23

Q2?C Southampton and Adams are in poor offensive form

That’s what I’m wary of - is he just on a hot run that won’t last and is he a rotation risk

The fact he looks like he is on penalties does add to the appeal though

don't think he's a rotation risk but the advanced role of late is surprising
if he went 3/4 games in a row without scoring you wouldn't even notice but a sterling haul in any game can happen
also gw22 city home to SHU, could be a good captaincy shout given lack of standout options

You take hits in the first part of the season to build high team value for the second part of the season, then big hitters like KDB and Vardy get taken out of the game and everybody can afford the team they want. What's the point?

Which to buy this week with 1 FT, Son or Barnes?

Planning to buy both in the coming 2 weeks, but just thinking of which one to buy first. Son seems safer with higher ownership, but he is facing Liverpool and Barnes is facing Everton

Also many here suggest Gundy, but personally I'm worried about the City attack without KDB

FPL golden rule: NEVER OWN BARNES

Barnes is in the Walcott and Barkley category for me - occasionally does something useful so people buy him then he gets no points for 10 weeks straight

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought Barnes for one game this year before WC (for a hit), and that didn't turn out well indeed....

But seems to be more consistent at the moment, and saw somewhere that mentioned he scored 4 goals in 5 games that Iheanacho started...

Or do you think I should buy Gundy / Grealish next week instead? Currently planning on Son this week

Son is a great pick obviously for the long term but not great fixture this week

Think Gundo is possibly too hard to ignore with the stars aligning with a lot of things, price, fixtures, form, on penalties, reduced rotation risk. He won’t be a long term pick though

Of my 15 players, the only player with a lower official FPL 'Form' rating than Salah is DCL who has been injured.

    Salah - 2.2

Made two transfers for a 4pt hit.

    KDB to Grealish.
    Smith Rowe to Gundogan.

Beginning to think I should have kept ESR. For caught up with everyone transferring in Gundogan but ESR has been doing well.

I'm a gooner so that came into my thinking also. Worst case if ESR does well at least Arsenal will have scored!

"7 goals scored by David McGoldrick (£5.2m) in the Premier League against the big six. He’s the highest goalscorer in Premier League history with 100% of his goals to come against sides to have played in every season"

Has anyone told Alan Shearer that Eddie McGoldrick has stolen his record?

Both look great mate!! I would go for the Fulham keeper of Johnstone, from my experience it’s not fun owing Johnstone I started him for 3 games and he returned 0,2,0!!! I didn’t him for Areola on WC, Fulham have 2 games extra to play and only conceded a 1/2 at a time whereas West Brom can shop 4/5 at at time!!

Hello everyone. Would you make any changes to this team?

    Martinez.

    Dias. Coufal. Robertson.

    Salah. Bruno(c). Son. Grealish. Soucek

    Bamford. Antonio.

    Subs: McCarthy. Adams. Mitchell. Dunne

Imo, the only possible debate is Soucek vs Adams. I'd start Soucek like you, but I am biased, becuase I have Adams too and can't wait to transfer him out.

Grealish is a much better short and long term pick than punt on Barnes or Maddi, without them having Vardy. I have Cancelo too and I am waiting for that haul for ages. Stones is a safe pick, he is nailed. So as long as the"potenital" hauls cointinue, they'll end up having same amount of points.

Traore would potentially beat Barnes in the next 3-4 GWs purely due to AVL are solid full team whilst LEI without Vardy are still to see

Really good advice! I’m tempted with Barnes as the new attacking threat with Vardy out, but you’re right, it might affect them more negatively than in a positive way. Prob a wait and see...good call! Cheers! 🙂

Thanks dragon! You don’t think Cancelo playing as an attacking mid over Stones gives more upside? Appreciate Jack is better than Harvey regardless...

Stones is more nailed on than Cancelo which I think can even out the extra potential upside of attacking returns from Cancelo.

I’ve not watched enough city but Cancelo is getting to the Maupay stage where everything says he should get attacking returns but never does. Not sure if it’s all an illusion

: D I had Stones for his haul, so no rage here.

I just this Cancelo is due that attacking return soon and want to capitalise on ML rivals who don't even have him.

It could all end in disaster and a 10 min cameo due to rotation but with the gameweeks coming quick and fast, I'm keen to take a gamble.

Personally minded to see if possible to get away without Salah up until GW26 (he’ll probably have a double that week too)

8 or 9 of Pool’s final 13 fixtures look quite nice...Whereas only 1 of his next 6 looks really profitable on current form...

He obviously can’t keep blanking forever though so always playing with fire going without

But spurs & West Ham defences for his next two aren’t exactly haemorrhaging goals at the minute either

Now im thinking Salah(C) again. The Zambian witch doctor predicted five blanks, not six...
