It is back to basics for Fantasy Premier League managers in Gameweek 28 as we face the first round without Doubles since Gameweek 23.

However, it must be said that the captaincy conversation has been thrown wide open by this week’s fixtures.

Manchester City face a Fulham defence that has improved in recent months, Liverpool are out of form, Manchester United face a West Ham side gunning for Europe while Spurs prepare for a north London derby.

As ever, the Captain Sensible article is here to help with your Gameweek 28 captaincy decision. As this uses extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

CAPTAIN POLL

Harry Kane (£11.3m, 26.5% of votes) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.5m, 24.2%) are the leaders in this week’s poll, combining for over 50.0% of our users’ votes.

Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m, 8.5%) has been voted third this week, although with the Belgian international now having started in each of City’s previous five league games, this number could drop by Saturday morning due to rotation fears.

Ilkay Gungodan (£6.2m, 4.9%) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m, 4.2%) close out the top five.

Maybe try the BB. If you have subs/funds I might switch Saka/Neto to Mount

Yeah unfortunately couldn’t squeeze Mount in. So tempted by the BB but worried a number of my team could be rested like Alonso and maybe Saka!

Willian going unnoticed, racking up the assists in the last few games

We notice, we just know it’s Willian. And Arsenal

Stiff competition for places though from ESR and Pepe (plus Martinelli)

think he should start games, since he's not been playing games and rested.

ESR has rested well during his recovery and is literally the catalyst for Arsenal's resurgence around. Can't imagine Willian is prioritised, but could rotate according to fixtures and physical condition

    Bench one against Chelsea:

    A) Raphina
    B) Dallas
    C) Bamford

txs. Was thinking rather Bamford myself, but also expect them to concede a couple

Dallas now seems like he’ll be at LB again rather than CM which makes his attacking threat drop down

I see. Think I'll bring in and play Konsa or Targett for a "guaranteed" cleanie against Newcastle then

Oh ffs, what a joke. Mourinho is an idiot, why on earth was Kane even on the pitch long enough to pick up a knock like that?

    Captaincy in disarray now

Massive benching headache this week... put these in bench order..

    A) Raphina (CHE)
    B) Bamford (CHE)
    C) Konsa (new)
    D) Rudiger (lee)

    Can only play 1.

interesting, rudi is currently last on my bench haha. it's so close. But leeds are expected to score in that match based on the odds. I'm leaning more towards one of the leeds players because of that.

see above, idk myself. I'm leaning towards Bamford though... still has better odds to score, on pens. Higher owned.

Should be fine or out for 2 seasons

He doesnt hide on the pitch. Always wants the ball. Maybe bit too confident on his own ability.

Yeah he has what it takes to be a high percentage player, but somebody keeps hitting the right stick on the controller, and he flies into trouble too often.
