Leicester City are unchanged as they travel to Southampton for Gameweek 34’s Friday-night opener.

That means James Maddison (£7.3m) retains his starting berth for the third Premier League match in a row since returning from injury.

While we do not have the benefit of the clubs’ official team reveals for Gameweek 34, the midfielder is likely to operate in the number 10 role behind Kelechi Iheanacho (£6.2m) and Jamie Vardy (£10.3m) tonight.

A lot of eyes will be on the later at St. Mary’s Stadium considering he lost approximately 90,000 owners for Gameweek 34, with Harry Kane (£11.8m) returning from his ankle problem ahead of facing Sheffield United.

Youri Tielemans (£6.4m) and Wilfred Ndidi (£4.8m) form the central-midfield pairing tonight with Luke Thomas (£4.1m) and Timothy Castagne (£5.8m) operating as wing-backs once again.

Wesley Fofana (£5.0m), Caglar Söyüncü (£5.3m) and Jonny Evans (£5.6m) are the back-three.

Danny Ings (£8.4m) is absent for Southampton while Alex McCarthy (£4.4m) has managed to hold onto his starting berth from the 2-1 defeat to Spurs.

Fraser Forster (£4.0m) is on the bench for the second Gameweek in a row.

Nathan Tella (£4.3m) and Che Adams (£5.7m) lead Saints’ attack with Takumi Minamino (£6.0m) and Nathan Redmond (£6.4m) either side of Stuart Armstrong (£5.5m) and James Ward-Prowse (£5.8m).

With no updates on social media this weekend, we will bring you live updates on all goals and assists from Southampton, which you can follow below.

Gameweek 34 Line-ups

Southampton XI: McCarthy, Walker-Peters, Vestergaard, Stephens, Bednarek, Ward-Prowse, Armstrong, Redmond, Minamino, Tella, Adams.

Substitutes: Forster, Djenepo, Salisu, Diallo, Ramsay, Walcott, N’Lundulu, Ferry, Jankewitz.

Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Fofana, Soyuncu, Evans; L Thomas, Tielemans, Ndidi, Castagne; Maddison; Iheanacho, Vardy.

Substitutes: Ward, Albrighton, Perez, Amartey, Under, Choudhury, Pereira, Mendy, Praet.

I didn't think this through at all. I have to bench my 3 Liverpool players against Saints to play my best XI on the double. Hmmm

      Sanchez
      Castagne Pereira Targett
      Bruno Greenwood ESR Bale
      Kane Iheanacho Benteke

      Meslier | TAA, Robertson, Jota | 2FTs

Admittedly, conveniently and annoyingly, Pereira might be a SGWer at best, and Targett's fixtures aren't ideal. But also need to use a FT somewhere. My WC33 was a rushed botch job.

I am unsure now. If Raphinha defo fit the. I'll maybe do it with Alonso out and possibly shift Forster too (or cross my fingers he gets a game)

How many players you have for GW36?
I only have 6...good for GW35, not for GW36. What do you think is the best balance?

    Current team for GW36:

    (2FT, 1.1 itb)

    No keeper
    TAA
    Salah/Son/Lingard/Jota
    Kane

Bench/not playing: Forster, Mendy, Shaw, Rudiger, Castagne, Holding, Bruno, Nacho, Davis

The plan is 6 or 7. GW36 team looks fine other than Dunk vs. WHU (although he did score against them last time out).

Have a full complement bar Bruno Nacho and Shaw

That's the one and only upside of the triple Villa look. Not sure whether I'll play either Konsa or Watkins in 35. Swings and roundabouts.

You could get up to a fairly safe 9 with double Everton and Zaha who isn't the worst in 36. Pickford for Mendy in 36 looks logical anyway.

It'll be interesting to see what people do with keepers over 35 and 36. Mendy Forster is still very generic - quite a few forced transfers in 36 on the horizon?

      5 years, 1 month ago

Agreed. Luckily I'm on Martinez (Steer) so a straight swap to Meslier (Steer) in GW36 or GW37 seems logical.

      Martinez: MUN/EVE cry tot CHE
      Meslier: TOT wba bur WBA

It's just a question of when I jump off the Martinez bus. GW36 is a tough call.

I’ve won my mini league. 96 points infront of nearest rival and we’ve both gone Kane(c). He had no ambition. If you’re chasing that kind of margin, it should be illegal to captain Kane. He threw the towel in right there.

Depends on chips though. If he still has TC, he can very well go for it next week by putting it on someone you don't own. But yeah, unless that player massively hauls, around 20 or something, you are safe.

Yes but the 96 points is a big one. I was dreading he would go Leicester striker(c).

    6. F_Ivanovic
      • 10 Years
      5 years, 1 month ago

I mean 96 points is virtually over anyway regardless. I take it it's a winner takes all and no 2nd place prize? I'm in a league where at least top 3 get paid, so would make no sense to try and chase a 96 point gap and miss out on 2nd. He also could be in another league that he wants to win. So many valid reasons to not go differential at this point

PvA is a nice punt if you've got a spot spare.

Don't see Palace thumping SHU at all - more a 2-0 2-1 type of result and the goals could come from anywhere. Guess he's due.

Bruno Fernandes sees his 3rd most net transfers out in a GW this season with 192k FPL managers selling him from their team.

However he has also delivered double digits in all the weeks he has been mass sold:

    GW27: 301k net transfers out = 10 points vs. MCI (A)
    GW3: 274k net transfers out = 12 points vs. BHA (A)
    GW8: 108k net transfers out = 17 points vs. EVE (A)

There's achance he gets benched if they play 4atb. If you want a naile don option, Digne is the one. If you don't mind him playing one game and want a budget option to spend money elsewhere, he's a decent option.
