Five-time top 1k FPL finisher Tom Freeman on Calvert-Lewin, Wolves and his Gameweek 2 plans

Ahead of Gameweek 3, I have two free transfers and £0.5m in the bank.

The graphic below shows how I’m currently set up prior to making any transfers, and as you can see, I need to prioritise a defensive move to ensure I have four starters. 

I’d also like to have two frees for the international break, so any further adjustments will have to wait. 

So, onto my transfer then.

      I reckon forward, which is a little troublesome when you assume you’ll ditch Fernandes.

      Probably better as a forward
      Imagine he'd get lots of bps deductions for skied free kicks etc.
      But forwards get loads of +ve bps for scoring, whereas as a midfielder Salah has always been a bit hit and miss for bonus when scoring due to his deductions for things like dispossessions

            "Against Burnley" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence if you are using it to prove VVD can cope with a Chelsea midfield backed Lukaku.

              No, but he had to deal with Matip leaving gaps and himself having to cope with both Wood and Barnes at once and a deluge of high balls that they got caught out on a few times. We'll see how Liverpool defend against a better side now, they've not had much of a challenge so far but if he wasn't there last weekend there's no doubt Burnley would have scored at least once

    Bruno, Ronaldo, Salah, Mane, Son, Kane, Sterling, De Bruyne, Lukaku. So many premiums, difficult to decide which 2 or 3 to go for. Hopefully they'll be more variety in people's teams as a result

    Salah comes in at 12.5 with pens and playing in a better team and and average of nearly 250 points over last 4 seasons. Get CS points in a Liverpool team who will get plenty of those. How can Ronaldo come in at 13.5? Even 13 looks high to me considering he'll be neck and neck with Lukaku and Kane point wise.

        Not contesting that. Just purely FPL context. 1 CS point, good recent form, extra goal point. He'll have to score around 30 to command that price and they don't have the easiest group in Europe either. Cavani will get his chances maybe in the league at that phase.
