Former Fantasy Premier League (FPL) champion Simon March joins Az on the eve of another deadline to look ahead to Gameweek 27.

Az and Simon, in for the unavailable Mark, reflect on how they got on in the Gameweek just gone (or about to go!) and how their teams are set up for Gameweek 27.

Simon also shares his thoughts on using the Free Hit chip in the upcoming Gameweek and whether there is enough upside to justify its deployment.

        Sold Saka to JWP and Eduoard to Weghorst.

        I could take a -8 and go KDB to Son, which is tempting. But I don’t think I’ve ever taken a -4 in the history of FPL to move out KDB and he does play Everton after a week’s rest and a Spurs loss that’s likely made City vengeful.

        And tbh - those transfers are ones I haven’t made yet. So if you have a better suggestion, by all means! Just need to replace Eduoard and one of my 4 non-playing players needs to be replaced (ie Saka)

      You're on a -4 with no Spurs and no United.

      But you have 11 and none of them are Watford and you do have Roberts.If Roberts was a Watford player I'd do it.

      But as is, probably hold off.

          Where would you spend it, tho? The cheaper players (JWP, Bed, Weg, Bro) are all excellent value for their positions and allow you to get the bigger hitters in. And good to have £ for down the line!

    I have Trent and Robbo, intention was to be bringing in James/rudiger from 28 or 29 for one of them.

    But now In the short term I’m thinking Trent to mee -4 for 11 players in 27

    Likely 29 switch digne (after his double) the disappointment to James

    Leaves me with Robbo cancelo James ait mee from 29

    Good idea?

        Robbo is returning more at present. CS they both benefit. Sure there will be the odd week where Taa out performs him but largely it’s going the other way

            Have another look, both have returned 10 assist. Sure taa has 1 more goal but he’s also played just short of 400 more minutes

              TAA's points are more spread out (60% of Robbo's assists have come in three games). TAA also loves bonus points.

              Go with Robbo by all means. I have, and will stick with, TAA.

      i like the ide of Robbo over TAA.
      i think it will work some weeks and not others - got to think of it long term.
      i'm happy having both - but can easily see me moving to a chelsea defender from one of them - will be a tough call at the time.

        Yeah it’s tough - one is defo turning into a Chelsea asset - recency bias will likely have an impact but also form and the eye test - robbo looks so dangerous at the moment

        I don’t want both - so it’s robbo or taa. Surely this decision must be made on form and the eye test. I can keep either but I feel currently the better option is robbo

      Probably Webster - however I don't like the reports of "illness" in the squad.
      We saw what happened when Webster & Dunk missed out against Burnley - I'd want their first choice defenders in the team if I was doing Webster.

      The problem with increasing them slightly in price is they still end up essential. All it means is that the options for rest of your team just becomes a much smaller / different substance of other players. And it makes other premium priced players much less likely to be owned.

      I’d rather they did something extreme like TAA 10.0 and Salah 16.0 and make it a real choice

    On a FH would you sacrifice one of JWP or Broja for Sancho/Bruno? Or not at all?

    I think there's a decent charge they'll score more looking at the numbers, I think I'm suffering a combination of FOMO, EO fretting and price bias. The brain of an FPL addict is a mire of doubt and terms that mean nothing to others! Why not have both Southampton and forget Man Utd?

    I was hoping to include a Soton defender in my WC team, but a little unsure on best pick.

    Bednarek was benched for some h=games earlier in the season, same with KWP (with Livra and Perraud starting)
