Which FPL players are on free-kicks, corners and penalties in 2022/23?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is live for 2022/23 and so too is our table of players on free-kicks, corners and penalties at their respective clubs.

The players are listed in order of prominence at dead-ball situations, based on information gathered from last season’s matches. Data closer to Gameweek 38 is given more weight.

The list will be updated constantly as new information becomes available on assigned set-piece takers and we’ll have one eye on pre-season to see if there is a shake-up in the table below or if any new signings like Erling Haaland are muscling their way in on the dead-ball duties.

Nottingham Forest are a good example: Joe Lolley and Brennan Johnson are listed as direct free-kick takers but it was loanees Joe Garner and Philip Zinckernagel who were chiefly responsible for these in the Championship last season and they have now departed the club.

This is a list that is also supplied to the FPL site, where you’ll find explanatory notes on the penalty takers featured here.

      Seems bizarre now. No one will have Richarlison in their GW1 squad. But it just takes an injury to Kane, Son or Kulu and suddenly he's essential.
      Similarly, Bamford and DCL seem overpriced based on last season - but if they turn out to revert to their form of season before last, they'll be worth the price.

    thought GW17 was a possible 'free hit bench boost' situation then, but you'd need to use the second wildcard to fix it; as the first wildcard has already expired by that point - that would be why everyone isn't talking about doing that 😆

        yeah that does work - but I like the idea of BB only affecting the week you use it - so the GW15 team wouldn't be ideal; GW1 is the only week you can basically have a 'free hit bench boost team' and WC it out straight away - I'm back to my original plan

    This is just my humble opinion but great and clever pricing and so many options/decisions to make. Hopefully the template wont be so obvious.

    Instead of putting Trent up to say 8.5m they have dangled loads of good £4.5m options. Pricing the likes of Salah at 13m (quite rightly), Son at 12m whilst Kane and Haaland are surprisingly at £11.5m makes us all think hard about premium options. Jesus at £8m is a masterstroke in my humble opinion. Apart from the pricing point theory there is an argumant for going Kane and haaland, especially given the extra wild card around the world cup, which means you can use the first one quickly should your initial picks go pear shape. The extra wild card is also a good idea full stop as the first squad pick can be a real lottery.

    I hear the odd murmur from the fantasy glitterarti that it is to easy to put a strong team together which is maybe true, but its all relative, as it applies to everyone. I think FPL have been so clever in potentially making the game more popular whilst at the same time giving the FPL die hards a lot of tough decisions to make.

      I respectfully disagree. They've seemingly not noticed the trend towards heavy defense and priced defenders low again while keeping forwards too expensive.

      It means that the template defense is incredibly strong and has left us with fewer spots to differentiate. I would have much preferred TAA at 8.5m and a 0.5 or 1m bump on all the premium defenders.

      This means that team structures are all quite similar. Have you seen anyone playing 3 up front?

      I think FPL is best when people can play lots of different formations and price structures and still have appealing teams.

          I much prefer the mids to the forwards. Even Jesus at 8m doesn't compare favorably with the mids imo. It's the points scoring that really hurts forwards.

    I've starting to err away from the premium keepers

    If Conte rotates his wing backs into oblivion then perhaps Lloris? (Kane/Kulu/Son)

    Mendy cuts off Mount, possibly Raphina, possibly Sterling (Chilwell/James)

    Pep doesn't tinker too much with his defence (Cancelo/Dias/Laporte/KDB/Haaland) and a midfielder may emerge even for short term purposes

    Liverpool's third slot is too precious (TAA/Salah/VVD/Robbo/Diaz)
