Two of the top three managers in Fantasy Football Scout’s Hall of Fame have exclusively revealed their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline.

These are the cream of the crop; the FPL bosses who haven’t just racked up one outstanding overall rank but several of them.

The Hall of Famers have been good enough to share their drafts with us ahead of Gameweek 1 although we’ve ‘anonymised’ their teams as per their wishes – perhaps you don’t get to where they are in the Hall of Fame without keeping some things close to your chest!

TEAM REVEALS

WHO ARE THE TOP MANAGERS IN OUR HALL OF FAME?

  • Fábio Borges: The Hall of Fame number 1. Has finished in the top 5k in each of the last seven seasons and never outside of the top 20,000.
  • Finn Sollie: Eight top 10k finishes in the last 12 seasons, including three inside the top 500 in the last six years.
  • John Canning: Two successive top 200 finishes, following on from another in 2011/12.

Aaronson looks good, nice fixtures in an attacking side and on set pieces

In any other season id be all over Dunk at 4.5 considering Brighton can rack up 10+ CS's and he averaged 5 attacking returns a season in the EPL(300 matches and 23 goals and 13 assists). Add bonus points and the fact he is as nailed as they come and he can hit 4 points a game easily.
The moment i put him in i feel like finding 0.5 more for the Trippiers/Walkers of the world and then i feel like adding another 1 million to get James etc and Dunk leaves my team each time lol

In my current draft I've put him in on my bench to cover Bailey incase he flops. Let's see if i manage to stick with this. Perfect price point to cover a punt in Bailey since he has the fixtures to boot too for the first 8 game weeks

Keeper conundrum buys into this. Stealing money from the keeper slot to upgrade the last defender.

Yup. I've bled my keepers dry and tone with the Leicester combo. The thing is i think it's actually a good idea. I've been playing this game for 13 years and I've not seen anything like this. Getting both the main and backup keepers of a mid table side for free ie at base price is a gift.

Note that he has averaged those goals and assists over his term at Brighton since 2014.. not the EPL only. The EPL has seen a pretty good return of 17 attacking returns over 5 seasons too(considering last year a one off due to the resurgence of Duffy)

My backup plan for Walker transfer.

      1. Valar(Keith)
        • 16 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

Yup he is the perfect cover for rotation risks and failed punts like Walker/Bailey etc. For eg if i have dunk on the bench i can swallow a few weeks of pain of owning a failed punt instead of being pressured into a transfer.

Morning, gang! This list was mailed through yesterday so there might be one or two alterations (Pep's time changed from 1.30pm, for example, but that's reflected here). Some of the times given are also when they're taking place, rather than broadcast - Gerrard/Howe tend to come out an hour later, for example.

    8.30am - Guardiola
    9am - Gerrard, Howe
    11am - Klopp, Tuchel
    1pm - Potter, Lage, Rodgers
    1.15pm - ten Hag
    1.30pm - Frank, Silva, Moyes

The more i look at the template 532, the worse it looks.

    - James and Perisic, prone to rotation around CL.
    - These wingbacks won't always get an attacking return, maybe 1/3 will be a good outcome?
    - Midfielders need just one goal and they'll likely outscore your defender. Midfielders playing in the front three like Rashford, Saka, Kulusevksi, the CIty mids, Diaz etc....
    - From your attack, you essentially have 3 players who you have to rely on - Haaland, Jesus, Salah. You can't rely on Martinelli, Bailey, Neto.
    - Seems a little too inflexible and heavily dependent on the wingbacks to rack up consistent and explosive scores.

    1. SINGH
      • 7 Years

Why would James be rotated? I don't recall him being rotated last season around CL.

I personally going for 4 4 2 as I dont see a theremium as way to go, team feels unbalanced.

    A) 4-4-2. 0.5 itb
    Sanchez (4.0)
Taa, Robbo, trippier, Cancelo (N. Williams)
    Salah, mount, Martinelli, Bailey (Andreas)
    Jesus, Haaland (4.5)

    B) 5-3-2. 0.5 itb
    Ramsdale (4.0)
    TAA, Robbo, trippier, Cancelo, James
    Salah, Martinelli, Bailey (Neto, Andreas)
    Jesus, Haaland (4.5)

GK can be changed in either.
Basically comes down to A) with Williams and mount or B) James and neto plus diff formations
