Close one, think I'd back the 180 minutes. Especially with Bowen's fixture but it's a close one. Don't expect a Chelsea CS so relying on attacking returns for James.

Perisic dropping to 5.4m is a nice surprise as a non-owner! Could counteract Darwin's 0.1m increase if/when I decide to bring them both in!

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62445694 - those Man Utd player ratings 😮

Ronnie top with 3.08, Maguire bottom with a generous 1.91 - not sure I’ve seen an entire team so low

And then The Hag to say he ‘need quality players’ (which is true), publicly in the post game presser - way to destroy what little’s left of their conference.

The players do have quality. They need teamwork and discipline. With the possible exception of centre mid there is enough talent in that squad

    Morning All,

Any early thoughs what to do with this team? 1FT, 0.5 itb

    Ramsdale (Ward)
    TAA Cancelo James (Trippier, N.Williams)
    Andreas Salah Mount Martinelli Neto*
    Haaland Jesus (Archer)

    really want to sell Neto.

Nothing that interested me at the 6.0 price bracket for Midfielders (apart from maybe Aaronson but not a favourable next fixture). So a downgrade to a 4.5m to free up funds might be the move. Unless you are thinking of spreading funds from another position?

It's a shame, because until last night you could have gone Neto > Rodrigo.

If you're desperate to sell Neto, maybe consider Dewsbury-Hall as a replacement. You generate an extra 0.5 itb, and can rotate between him and Trippier depending on who has the better fixture.

I just worked out what was happening between Haaland and Foden, Foden was being selfish trying to score a goal so that Pep would keep him in the team, this is not a good pattern for Pep he really needs Foden to focusing on providing for Haaland.

Incorrect. He saw on the ‘transfers in’ page that the Fodenfreude threshold had been met, so he immediately took him off. That is why you always see him checking his smartwatch.

I love that Pep claimed that Foden couldn't see 6,4 Haaland standing next to him, that was comedy.

Think FPL towers should amend the -2 for a missed pen, it's incredibly harsh!
Assets don't get docked points for missing sitters etc lol

    1. DAZZ
      • 12 Years
      3 years, 11 months ago

A penalty is easier to score than a sitter. You have time to think with a penalty, if anything i think a penalty miss should be -3. A professional footballer should be scoring 9/10 penalties, unless the keeper does well. -5 for blazing one over 🙂

Seems fair to me, they often get 3 bonus points just for scoring a penalty which most of the time they didn't win, so if they miss their chance they deserve negative points for it

I've always rated him and had a soft spot for arsenal, but 5 just doesn't go into 4 and if you consider Liverpool and man city definites then it's Chelsea spurs arsenal fighting for 2 positions

No reason arteta can't get it but fine margins are involved and I think arsenal fans will overreact if arsenal miss out, hopefully they don't and see the progress he has made and how good of a coach he is when he has a fit team

I find this bonkers. As a Newcastle fan I've seen us relegated and promoted numerous times, challenge for trophies and won nothing, FA cup finals, some great European nights (beating Barca and Juve), highs and lows. Enjoy the week in, week out football when you're doing well and accept that there are limited trophies and champions league spots to win each year. Having too high expectations can take away from the weekly fun of the game.

As a Palace fan, i am enjoying our long Rollercoaster ride. 15 mins from liquidation in 2010 being a big low, mid 80's then up and down so many times, then finally we have had/are having a great time of it.

Palace proved are harder test to Arsenal than Leicester did

            • 10 Years

AFTV represents a tiny part of fans and I haven't watch it for a decade I think. It's always been toxic and full of drama, which got them views. The aim has to be top 4 finish and getting back into the Champions League. I would be alright with 5th/6th place and Europa League win. 7th/8th and FA Cup would be bad and below expectations. Only in last case Mikel could be sacked.

Main thing is you're free of Man Utd! Preseason I would have said Rodrigo isn't nailed anymore but I think its alright to try ride his form. Not many other standout options at that price currently

Leeds play Chelsea next then Brighton away. Rodrigo is still a wait and see player for now.

I was just seeing that Newcastle are linked with Gallagher, I think that would be the signing of the season.

Jesus has already won that barring injury

Good player, but a right winger and another striker should be our priority in my opinion.

I need to remove Dalot for obvious reasons. I can spend 6.0 million. I want a City defender. Any huge difference in the "nailedness" of Dias and Walker?
I'd like to save 1.0 if possible if Walker is likely to continue playing. Dias carries greater goal threat and for me feels the safer pick. Thoughts?

Have a look at today's and tomorrow's matches, and then decide. Jota/Firmino still lurk.
