We at Fantasy Football Scout are saddened by the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

We’re aware that not all of you will be affected by the events in the United Kingdom on Thursday afternoon but as a mark of respect for those who are, we will be suspending our content for the time being.

Understandably, there is a great deal of uncertainty over the immediate sporting schedule and we will also be awaiting further guidance from the Premier League on whether (or when) this weekend’s planned fixtures will take place.

From Guardian : It is understood that several sports, including the Premier League, will hold emergency talks on Friday to discuss whether sport should resume at the weekend – with most hoping to do so depending on the public mood.

Several sports held a meeting on Thursday to discuss plans, with one observer saying part of the talks centred on whether to have a one or two day pause to mark the Queen’s death. Another person present said they believed sport would resume on Saturday, although they indicated that all would be mindful of the public mood over the next 24

Yeh, that's in the protocol. The outcome is uncertain, though. When the king died in 1952 most sports were cancelled, but not the football!

Talk is, funeral next weekend. Whether fixtures go ahead this weekend, we should find out soon. I'm guessing they go ahead this weekend to allow for minute silence around the grounds.

It was arranged for the funeral to take place 10 days after her death.
That would make it the 18th /Sunday- no games on that day if so.

Bravo, Dynamic. Some sad posts here, shows how much many of the "younger generation" seem so different from my own, as a middle aged man, in not having the same respect and perception of the Royal family as part of this countries DNA as older generations.
          Exceptions to that of course.
