There’s one more Double Gameweek 20 match to go and it’s a big one.

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur is the fixture in question, with kick-off at the Etihad Stadium set for 20:00 GMT.

Four Man City assets boast double-digit ownerships in the top 10k, but two of them aren’t part of Pep Guardiola’s starting XI tonight. It’s Ederson and the heavily captained Erling Haaland who get the nod, with Joao Cancelo and Kevin De Bruyne on the bench.

Above: FPL assets sorted by ‘effective ownership’ in the top 10k (via LiveFPL)

Guardiola makes five changes overall from Saturday’s defeat at Old Trafford: Kyle Walker, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden are replaced by John Stones, Rico Lewis, Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish and Julian Alvarez.

Antonio Conte, meanwhile, makes four alterations after losing 2-0 at home to Arsenal, with Ben Davies, Emerson Royal, Ivan Perisic and Rodrigo Bentancur coming in for Clement Lenglet, Matt Doherty, Ryan Sessegnon and Pape Sarr.

Harry Kane – who has scored three of his four goals against Man City in all competitions at the Etihad – leads the line, flanked by Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min.

GAMEWEEK 20 LINE-UPS

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Lewis, Stones, Akanji, Ake, Rodri, Gundogan, Grealish, Mahrez, Alvarez, Haaland

Subs: Ortega, Laporte, Walker, Phillips, Dias, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Foden

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris, Romero, Dier, Davies, Royal, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic, Kulusevski, Son, Kane

Subs: Forster, Sanchez, Doherty, Sessegnon, Tanganga, Sarr, Lenglet, Bissouma, Richarlison

    Kepa
    White, Cancelo, Trippier
    KDB, Martinelli, Rashford, Almiron
    Haaland(c), Toney, Mitrovic

    Ward, Andreas, Shaw, Patterson

    3.6 ITB 1FT.

Will likely roll the transfer. Only main decision is:

    A Kepa
    B Ward

Last chance saloon for Cancelo and Foden this coming weekend for me. Anyhoo, what transfer do I do:

    A) Rodrigo
    B) Ødegaard

I've no Arsenal assets as yet (I know!!) and need to get in for DGW23.

    Many Thanks.

Nope no update. If you really want Toney and think he gets good points this GW, the potential ban shouldn't put you off him.

Interesting dilemma, Toney should have been suspended imo, but by the time they announce a decision it will be close to the end of the season. I took him out of my squad because I thought a ruling would be made and missed some nice points as a consequence. My stubbornness in not getting him back will hurt my OR but my conscience is clear.

Sometimes you have to play aggressive. Missed out on a lot of Mahrez points by playing safe with no hits

    Anyone else tempted to WC?

I have the most template team possible and it feels far from optimal. I'd change quite a lot of players if I was on a WC this week.

Mahrez, Odegaard, Saka in. Out with Cancelo, Almiron, Mitrovic etc. Feels like an opportunity but it's really rogue to WC now and there will likely be weeks where I'll desperately need another one. But it's not too hard to defend rank from being ahead. This feels like an opportunity to get ahead.

I think you should hold off 1 more GW so you get all the info on potential DGW22, BGW25 and BGW28. This should allow you to WC with more certainty

Yeah this is most likely what I'll do. Hold off and be patient. But I think I will take a few hits over the next few gameweeks. KdB > Mahrez looks like a likely move as well as Cancelo out.

Very tempted. I think this is a decent time to WC actually. I'd like to move Cancelo, KdB and a few others. Double Newcastle defense and Arsenal midfield are priorities and Kane as well. There are some decent punts out there as well - BHA options.

Was thinking that. Saka up against Shaw not amazingly enticing, but ya never know as great player. Andreas dropping and Odey close to rise, so reckon I'll go with that...

Odegaard because Saka's on 4YCs and Odegaard is cheaper: it's good to keep your funds available in case you change your mind about getting both in between buying the first and second one. Odegaard more likely to rise in price too due to his lower price (and is close to a rise already).

    Which is better ?
    A- Play Mahrez Bench Almiron

B- Almiron > Mitoma Bnech Mahrez or Mitro

I did Almiron to Mitoma to beat price changes and now I have a similar dilemma. See below.
I think Almiron to Mitoma is a good move and if it's for free then crack on.
      I wouldnt bench Mitro.
After tonight's performance you'd think Pep would play Mahrez again on the weekend as he's his most in form player, but we all know he doesn't always do what we think he will!
Having said that, I'd be more worried about benching Mahrez than Mitoma. So I think I'm swaying towards starting Mahrez.

      1. OptimusBlack
        • 13 Years

I Think he would still playing him he best player now in his team but he may just play about 60 minutes so still we don't know 90 minutes for mitoma or maybe 60 for Mahrez
