The Sunday 4.30pm GMT kick-off sees Tottenham Hotspur host champions Manchester City in north London.

The big Fantasy Premier League (FPL) news is that Kevin De Bruyne starts on the bench again for tactical reasons, having also missed the reverse fixture at the Etihad in Double Gameweek 20.

Aymeric Laporte and Ilkay Gundogan are substitutes, while John Stones is absent from the matchday squad through injury. City are also without Phil Foden again.

“He was there at the hotel. He felt unwell all night – really, really bad.” – Pep Guardiola on Phil Foden

Kyle Walker, Nathan Ake, Bernardo Silva and Julian Alvarez all come into the starting XI.

Spurs, meanwhile, are unchanged from Gameweek 21, with new signing Pedro Porro on the bench.

FFS H2H... will need Martial to outscore Gnonto by 5 to steal the win.

3-5-2 bus team set for the next GW.

    Lets summarise.

    ManC lose
    Arsenal lose
    LIV thrashed
    Chelsea boring draw at home
    ManU just about hang on
NEW draw at home & concede

ManU & Spurs the only winners this GW.

I wonder what the payout would have been for a treble bet on the first 3 events

You can say that Arsenal transfer is a fail one (trossard, jorginho)
But at least they strengthen their squad

In other hand, man city lose Cancelo and didnt bring replacement
That bald fraud didnt even use up their five subs today.
Hope Arsenal will win the title this year.

I know a lot has changed from the good old 4-4-2, but what is the point in these inverted wing backs?

Surely it just over crowds the midfield and stifles creativity? Then if you lose possession high up it leaves you open to counter attacks.

Is it supposed to increase control in a game or what?

    1. Sir Matt Bugsby
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Was initially a ploy to prevent counters (extra bodies in the middle would mean direct passes can't be played through). But yes, creativity can get stifled, esp if both, the fullback and the winger ahead are cutting in.

    2. Tonyawesome69
      • 7 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Inverted FB allows the CM to move in an attacking position. I wouldn't say over crowd but it's to create overloads

    3. Hairy Potter
      • 10 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Think it depends when the player moves into midfield. Man City seem to be doing it when they have the ball at the back. I sort of get it when the ball is further up the pitch to bolster midfield. Then again ASM ruined Walker early in the season as Walker's starting position infield made it harder to defend.

Could be interesting if the Arsenal wide players can exploit it.

Before people start ditching KDB, Mahrez and co, worth remembering that Spurs home record against City is great and between 23 and 31, it’s practically all the worst defences in the league (Arsenal, Newcastle and maybe Hammers/Forest aside). Includes Villa, Bournemouth, Palace, Leicester, Liverpool and Southampton

If Fernandes / Rashford (TC) / Shaw all manage 2 points each tomorrow, I'll be on 99 so if I don't make 100 I will be very disappointed

Especially after Pep now goes sick in the changing room, making himself more unintelligible than ever. I am sure it will be crystal clear to all the players what he thinks after.
