FPL Double Gameweek 25 confirmed for four teams

Gameweek 25 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) will be a ‘double’ after the rearrangement of two previously postponed fixtures.

Four teams will now place twice in Gameweek 25: Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

  • Arsenal: Leicester City (a) + Everton (h)
  • Everton: Aston Villa (h) + Arsenal (a)
  • Liverpool: Crystal Palace (a) + Wolves (h)
  • Wolves: Fulham (a) + Liverpool (a)

The reverse fixtures of both rearranged matches were played out as recently as Saturday, with Everton and Wolves coming out on top.

However, it’s worth noting Gameweek 25 also coincides with previously announced blanks for Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester United and Newcastle United, due to the EFL Cup final taking place.

Taking LiveFPL’s top 100,000 sample, we can see ownership data for Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Wolves players.

Arsenal players dominate the above list, with only Hugo Bueno (£3.9m), Nathan Patterson (£3.9m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) exceeding 5 per cent ownership from the other sides involved.

Even then, neither of the budget defenders are currently assured of starts.

Bueno was, of course, benched on Saturday, while Patterson is injured and last featured in Gameweek 19. There was no update on the latter in last week’s press conference but he will have a while longer on the sidelines if the original six-week timeframe for his recovery was accurate.

As for Salah, he’s without an attacking return since Boxing Day and has registered just five shots in his last four matches. However, there is still time for Liverpool’s assets to find some form, with matches against Everton (h) and Newcastle United (a) preceding their double.

      not sure yet, i'm tempted to FH in 25 as i'll have a lot of players MIA and its also a dgw for some teams who i have no players from, so a perfect scenario for a FH, 28 will likely be write off for me though with probably only half a team but it could be a low scoring week anyway so probably not that big of a deal

    I have literally no money in the bank, so the only Arsenal defender I can get in for Shaw is White.

        unless you are using FH or planning to WC straight after Im not sure I would want Everton or Wolves defenders in my team either when you consider how superior the defensive options are from the defences of Newcastle and Utd. You likely wont want them in your team after the double but may not get round to removing them if other transfers take priority.

        Golden rule of DGW's well for me anyway is I dont bring in players just for the sake of a DGW if Im not going to want them after. Not unless Im planning a WC straight after. Otherwise you end up with with players stinking out your team and you may not get opportunity to remove them if other transfers end up taking priority. Just isnt worth it for one extra game in which they may only get 2pts anyway.

      We are living in this alternative universe that Liverpool plays Palace and Wolves and I am not even considering Salah

      As a Liverpool fan can we play more teams other then Wolves and Brighton lol. Last season this would have been a potential TC on Salah but now it's not even close to being considered.

      All good fixtures besides Everton away at Arsenal when you remember Liverpool are terrible so Wolves even have a decent double.

      Pretty much as you have it. Badiashile not registered for UCL is strange given that he looks to be a firm part of the EPL eleven now, and have conceded few goals with him in there. Heightens his FPL prospects further although Fofana is waiting in the wings.

    Does the DGW25 make Nketiah more appealing? Or still a risk of sharing minutes with a returning Jesus just when you need him most?

      Oh, that's pretty aggressive.

      I look at Toney + Martinelli + White -> Nketiah + Saka + Akanji

      Good to have better attackers with no blank and DGW defence. But -8 seems too much.

    Actually thinking twice about KDB to Salah in gw25

      I think both aren't looking that good. The fact that KDB got benched, and with UCL coming up, means he might be susceptible to rotation, whereas Salah is 100% nailed on but in bad form. Personally I would do the transfer if I don't find any other problems in my team in gw25, hoping for a rank gain.
