Ahead of the final Scout Picks selection on Friday, our in-house team of Sam, Marc, Tom and Neale each put forward the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) names they think should make the cut.

Our panelists submit 18-man player longlists with the focus just on the upcoming Gameweek – and with various stipulations, as detailed in the next section.

ABOUT THE SCOUT SQUAD

Everything you ever wanted to know about the FPL Bonus Point System - part one

Our four resident writers are solely focused on the upcoming Gameweek with their selections. Anything outside of this window, we cover in the soon-to-be-updated Watchlist.

The players who get the most votes are much more likely to make the Scout Picks, although the final XI can’t exceed £83.0m – so occasionally, cheaper alternatives have to be found.

Each of our writers must meet the following requirements for this feature:

  • At least one sub-£5.0m goalkeeper
  • At least one sub-£5.0m defender
  • At least one sub-£6.0m midfielder
  • At least one sub-£7.0m forward
  • No more than three players from the same club

      Weak defence but like the rest.

      Like the Mitoma, March, Toney triple up but you’ll need a plan for at least 2 of them

        There will always be hiccups along the way

    Any reason why I shouldn't do Darwin to Toney right now?

    I'm not worried about the potential ban, I think that will be next season if at all

      Done that with my only FT

      He is on 8 yellow cards. If he picks up a yellow vs Fulham that puts him at 9. 10 games = 2 match ban. The scenes if that happens in the first game of his double.

        But he is easily swappable to the non-suspended Brent forward or Watkins if that happens. The only thing to be concerned with is the betting ban, but news is that isnt until April at soonest.

    why most are doing WC this week instead of waiting 1 more week?

    planning to use chips? Or the double players have good enough fixture that just may as well?

    1. Yank Revolution
      • 14 Years
      3 years, 4 days ago

      I need to make a move now is the main reason, and to set myself up for the next 4-5 weeks. I fell 300k places last GW and that was my final straw. Robertson and Darwin freakin killed me and I made the wrong call with Ode over Saka when I had the chance.

      Ditch Liverpool pre ManU game, getting Brighton and Brentford players for double 27 with good single game in 26 and to be able to carry 2 transfers into 28

      As above and also lose City players. They have the injured back now its impossible to call the line ups. Haaland obviously stays.

    GW27 is gonna be a big benching headache for WCers, no?

    1. Yank Revolution
      • 14 Years

      A slight headache, yes. But nothing major with only 4 doublers for GW 27 on my team (2 Brentford, 2 Brighton).

        With the likes of Bailey, Pinnock, and Ward having doubles in 29 it doesn't even really need to be that strong.

      Current estimate:

      3 double GW27
      9-10 players GW28
      6-8 double GW29

      Planning wc33, BB34, FH37

      1. Steve Stiffler
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 4 days ago

        Not too bad man, its hard to know if GW29 will be huge scoring week as alot of players play against each other. I'll have 10 GW29, will play BB aswell

          I know what you mean. I was low coming out of World Cup and then had a run of green up to about 70k. Last two weeks have seen me drop to 146k. I suspect the immediate wildcard is the right play but eff it, I think it’s a minor gamble to bet against the house over the next 3-4 weeks, try to navigate and hold, then try to dominate last few weeks!

          1. Steve Stiffler
            • 9 Years
            3 years, 4 days ago

            That was a great climb mate, crazy how 10 points can make a difference for your rank. 2 weeks before the World Cup I was at 4.1 million played a good wildcard and up to 466k now lol happy out. WC is the play if your team is full of liverpool and wolves and everton players, but my team is actually fine at the minute too. Good luck man

        So only one transfer planned atm:

        5 double GW27 before transfers
        9 play GW28 - probably 10 after one transfer
        9 of first 11 double - probably 10 after that previous transfer.

    Greeting all!! Best option here??? ….

    A- Darwin to Toney and play Mitoma
    Or
    B- Darwin to Watkins and play Mitoma, get Toney next week
    Or
    C- Darwin and Nketiah to Watkins and Toney, bench Mitoma -4

    A and B would have Nketiah on the bench

    Thoughts welcomed!!!

      I have a similar team only difference is james shaw and gnonto.

      Im strongly considering wc because we have no brentford brighton or Kane and got a few we can move on.

      I do think you/we could wait a week but Im making two moves now Darwin and Andreas out for Toney and Mitoma and if I end up deciding not to WC Im fine with those two in for a hit, you could do similar with andreas and nketiah

    Chelsea fans, or anyone for that matter, know if Potter made any comments about Badiashile, not only did he not start, he didn't come on for the injured (? forgot who it was). Concern he gets minutes going forward?

  27. Zenith UK
    • 9 Years
    3 years, 4 days ago

    I'm stuck. Had a relatively decent week (97 points - but used TC). Going forward only have FH & BB left to use. Here is how I wanted to navigate;

    Kepa
    Trent, White, Kilman
    Salah, Mahrez, Ode, Andreas
    Haaland, Kane, Nketiah

    Ward, Badiashile, Mitoma, Burn

    GW26: Mahrez > Rashford (free) w/ 0.5 ITB
    GW27: Salah & Nketiah > Saka & Toney (-4) w/ 3.7 ITB
    GW28: Trent & Andreas > Emerson Royal & Maddison (-4) w/ 2.4 ITB
    GW29: BB?
    - Doublers:
    ~~~ Kepa & Badiashile* (AVL, LIV) - Burn (MUN, whu) - Maddison (cry, AVL) - Rashford [c] (new, BRE) - Mitoma (BRE, bou) - Toney (bha, mun) - Ward (cry, AVL)
    * Badiashile could be Shaw for free?
    *(+1) denotes team kept a clean sheet in the past GW.
    Liverpool have now kept 4 clean sheets in a row, and welcome an in-form Man Utd to Anfield this week. Should be a great game!
    Managed another great week (100 (-4)) with Martinelli being the star and Saka not far behind either, which meant a huge green arrow of just over 100k
    Looking most likely I'll be pressing that button, yeah you know the one 😉 ..
    a) Salah > Rashford (-4)
    b) Salah > Maddison for free
    c) Roll FT with Salah
    Hit is for GW28 for playing 11
      Part of me wants to keep Salah as Liv will be up for MUN game at anfield and give a chance for Salah differential over Rashford while saving FT
      Or keep it simple and get Rashford?
