Ahead of this week’s Scout Picks selection, our in-house team of Sam, Marc, Tom and Neale debate the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players they think should make the cut.

Our panelists submit 18-man player longlists with the focus just on the upcoming Gameweek – and with various stipulations, as detailed in the next section.

ABOUT THE SCOUT SQUAD

Everything you ever wanted to know about the FPL Bonus Point System - part one

Our four resident writers are solely focused on the upcoming Gameweek with their selections. Anything outside of this window, we cover in the regularly updated Watchlist.

The players who get the most votes are much more likely to make the Scout Picks, although the final XI can’t exceed £83.0m – so occasionally, cheaper alternatives have to be found.

Each of our writers must meet the following requirements for this feature:

  • At least one sub-£5.0m goalkeeper
  • At least one sub-£5.0m defender
  • At least one sub-£6.0m midfielder
  • At least one sub-£7.0m forward
  • No more than three players from the same club

Is Grealish and Kane to Salah and Solanke worth it I'm a bit concerned about the damage salah could do to my rank, thanks in advance

Got 3 Newcastle, Isak, Trippier and Botman I may play a 3 5 2 and bench Solanke anyway, thanks for the reply, still undecided

Solanke returned last week and must be looking forward to Chelsea next. I’d keep his this week.

Nothing beats that feeling when you captain the highest scoring player of a gameweek. Mo Salah is a goddamn legend.

    Hey guys here's my team:

    Ederson/ Iversen

    Shaw Trippier TAA/ Henry White

Rashford Fernandes Salah Mitoma Mac Allister

    Isak Haaland/ Greenwood

    (0.1 itb 1ft)

What moves from the below looks the best?

    1. White to Estupinan for free, play him and bench Mac Allister (will still play deep)

    2. White to Dunk, play him and bench Trippier

    3. Ederson to Steele for free

    4. Save

    5. Other?

    thanks guys!!!!

    Raya
    Estu Trent Shaw
    Mit Mac Salah Greal Rash
    Haal Isak

    Iversen Watkins Trip Zinch

    My thinking is:
    GW35 - Raya > DDG
    GW36 - Watkins > Wilson (6DGWs)
    GW37 - Zinch > Stones (9DGWs)

    Sensible plan?
Also, would you bench any of my front 7 for Watkins this week?

I don’t get the Kane backing? Spurs are not on form, not from a winning perspective and teams are looking forward to playing them. Yes Kane has got points most games, but with their current situation can that really go on - a lot more better options this week!

    1. Ajax Hamsterdam
      • 11 Years
      3 years, 8 days ago

He grabs points regardless of spurs situation. He's so consistent. Am planning haaland to kane c if city have won the league and are in the final of c1 for gw38

    2. JELLYFISH
      • 14 Years
      3 years, 8 days ago

I have Kane in my team and I am keeping, but only because the limited games remaining don't really make moving him out a viable move (so makes sense to keep). If I didn't own him I wouldn't be overly concerned, and I think there are better options out there.

I have Haaland, Isak and Solanke. With DGW upcoming, Solanke is the only viable option, but better value in midfield

Think I I'll stick with haaland as only city cover. Reluctant to take a hit as there is so much uncertainty as to who starts. Foden looks perfect punt for the weekend but is he a good enough option for the rest of the season?

Veltman is out this week and sounds like Groß will be out so MacAllister is likely to be in the pivot again for what it's worth. But he was really involved and great yesterday in that position

My planned moves over next two gameweeks are Chilwell and Watkins > Shaw and Isak/Wilson. Anyone think it’s worth it to make any of them this week or roll the transfer?
