Seen many on DCL but would Maupay (5.0) be an option to start Everton’s games too? At the moment he’s on Penalties!

    A) Yes to Maupay
    B) No to Maupay

    Any reasons why?

    Appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

Logged on for the first time yesterday and drafted a team on the fly. Obviously a lot can change, but any thoughts chaps?

    Ederson
    TAA, Gabriel, Estupian
    Rashford, Saka, Mount, Grealish, Enciso
    Haaland, G. Jesus

    (Fodder)(AWB, Beyer, Surridge)

It’s a good team. Not sure you need Ederson but could get some clean sheets if city have improved at the back.

The penalty taker front 7 looks pretty good. Some unknowns like Nkunku and Eze but most likely its them.

    Salah Bruno Saka Mbuemo Eze
    Haaland Nkunku

Was it 2 seasons ago when it became apparent in GW1 that they'd brought in a new rule that if you look at the ref a funny way, you give away a penalty?
So I wildcarded in GW2 with a Front 7 of pennies like you. The referees' committee then promptly met to scrap the new idea. I had a very bad season.

There are 5/7 here that are in the majority of RMTs.

Also seen Eze and Nkunku floating around in others, so sems you could definitely do worse than a team like this.

My first RMT of the season:

    Leno - Areola
    Stones - Estupinan - Botman - Torres - Bell
    Saka - Rashford - Martinelli - Mbuemo - Enciso
    Haaland - Jesus - Watkins

8 viable attackers. Haven't seen that much so presumably you can target fixtures and have a decent backup first bench.

It the best tbh. Defense is very weak. One of your 8 attacking players will have to sit on the bench every game so I suggest to sell Enciso or Watkins and improve defense.

I’d probably prefer Shaw at 5.5, estupinan and a 4.5 like botman or pinnock though if I was spending 15 million

I'm going cheap at the back, with only one 5m defender in Estupinan. Others I've mulled but passed on are Gabriel and Ake or Akanji.
I've got 3x 4.5 defenders - the best are Henry/Pinnock, Cash/Pau Torres, Botman and whoever the 4.5 starting defender at Chelsea turns out to be.

Currently thinking similar. Rotating to play two of three 4.5s could pay off I think.

Sort of have an eye on Martinez and Porro for the 5m spot. Would take Onana at 5 if he is though.

Interesting that the template team has actually solidified in the last week i.e., ownership percentages have risen:

    Ramsdale
    TAA - Trippier - Shaw - Estupinan
    Rashford - Saka - Mitoma - Mbeumo
    Haaland - Jesus

    Areola - Botman - Baptiste - Surridge

    1. polis
      • 14 Years

Isn't that last year's template with Mbeumo instead of Toney (and before Jesus got injured, obviously.)

      1. diesel001
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 3 days ago

Possibly. But it is based on current ownership %. That squad of 15 has the 13 most selected players in it (the only exceptions are Baptiste and Surridge, who are required to be picked to stay within the budget of 100m).

    2. Sheffield Wednesday
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 3 days ago

Individually they may be the most owned but I doubt this is the template e.g. TAA and Trippier together plus a 5.0M fourth defender will represent a lot more expenditure than the majority of RMTs seen so far.

Liverpool are not that great defensively, and if they play in the expected 3-box-3, he won't have much attacking threat.
If, on the other hand, Liverpool revert to their 4-3-3 heavy metal football now they have midfielders who are up to the task, Robbo could be back to his old self.

These fixture postponements have royally messed up my team. I had Morris as my third striker, with Haaland and DCL. Now I've brought in Archer at 4.5 to replace Morris and upgraded Enciso to Mitoma
