Quick vote. Who scores more points over the first 3 GWs:

    A) Odegaard
    B) Martinelli
    C) Havertz

    Ederson. Turner.
    James. Colwill. Estupinan. Saliba. Bell.
    Salah. Saka. Mitoma. Eze. Reed.
    Haaland. Jackson. Welbeck.

    What do you think guys?

  5. Ady87

    Onana (Pickford)
    Gab Chill Estup (Udogie Baldock)
    Saka Ode Rash Diaz Eze
    Haaland Pedro (Jackson)

I’ll probably stick with this until someone FUDs me out of my Jackson position, I’ll then go back to Watkins.

Almost the same team as mine. Love the Udogie pick, have him as well. Hopefully he's actually first choice.

      Why Diaz over Jota?

      1. Ady87
        • 12 Years
        2 years, 6 months ago

I thought Diaz was first choice with Gakpo and Salah. I can get Jota if you or anyone else has a good hypothesis on the starting line up!

        1. Ady87
          • 12 Years
          2 years, 6 months ago

Reading that as seen in pre season one game recently Gakpo could drop to play the 8 allowing Jota a starting spot over Nunez with Diaz and Salah also starting.

            • 4 Years

That happened but I think it was just an experiment with Mac/TAA as the 6. Would expect Jones to play that role with Mac & Szoboszlai as the 8s. Think Jota might be marginally ahead of Diaz for LW if Gakpo starts up front. If I was to punt on any of them it would be Jota

Indeed, it is very weird. Unless it's something else like his (pregnant) wife having second thoughts or something. I thought it would be done after the deal was agreed.

Sky are doing what they always do and guessing.

Would be a stunning situation if Bayern worked for weeks on the deal without assurances from the Kane camp that he’d join, Sky basically read Twitter for sources.

People just pick and choose to believe Sky whenever it suits them really. Half of their 'journalism' is Kaveh and Melissa Reddy just reading out tweets.

Exactly, Fabrizio pushes a tweet out and 10 mins later that plank Dhamesh says ‘our sources tell us’ the same thing Fabrizio just tweeted out.

They just live report what they see on Twitter.

    Pickford
    Shaw Gabi Estu
    Salah Saka Rich Eze
    Haaland Watkins Wissa

    Turner Baldock Nakamba Beyer

    1.0 ITB to potentially:
Pickford to Ederson (would if he was nailed)
    5.0 to 5.5 def
    Eze to Foden
    Wissa to Højlund

Any flaws (early GWs)? Any other viable 4.5/4.0 GK pair?

Hugely tempted but I don't think it's as easy as saying "he's the 9". He's the least nailed but most versatile (striker, left wing, left attacking midfielder, right wing) and is in great form. I would do it but haven't found anything I really want to do with the 1.5m saving from Ødegaard yet and I think Ødegaard and Saka should be the most secure for starts, including over the first few before Europe starts.

    G. Jesus and Nkunku injuries have me sad. Not because I support arsenal or Chelsea or because I wanted either in my team, but since those two got injured, drafts have started looking like mine. Well he said he’s ready today in his presser so there’s obviously a chance like with any player who’s fit and available.

Who is the best Liverpool pick as a cheaper alternative to Salah?

I really want Jota, but have seen some predicted line ups outside of FFS with him benched.

Do you think Jota starts vs Chelsea?

I'm going with Jota. Can score whether he starts or comes off the bench. Obviously a risk, but he's the only real risky punt in my team and I think Liverpool will score a lot this season.

Ill give him 75% to start
Also 75% to be off at 60 min

They are called predictions for a reason - some have him starting, others don't. It's a gamble, but either way he is likely to get minutes and a good chance of hauling imo
