Probably is Bruno has a decent fixture in GW3 so will be difficult to depart meaning you burn a FT

Not a bad thing, especially since injuries, suspensions and the transfer market can bring other issues

I've seen a few posts this week with people wildcarding - nothing wrong with that as it's all team dependent.

However, I see no bench players. After the first game week and the injuries reported this week, would it not be advisable to have one or two 1/2 decent bench players? In fact I'd say it was a necessity.

    Any thoughts?

I don't see it as a neccessity. Just transfer the injured player out the team.

I agree. Having at least 1 x slightly stronger / rotating bench option (nothing more than 5m def, 6.5m mid or 5.5 forward) but I'm switching the team for that. People are forgetting the number of yellow cards flying around left right and centre. Won't be long until there's suspensions.

First bench player is important, second and third, not so much. It's rare you ever need 2 bench players in a week.

With a bench of Onana (starting Turner), Eze, Rico Henry and Baldock is an early bench boost worth a gamble to get it used? Starting 11 all solid other than Gabriel question mark

    Choose 2 to start from:

    1- Udogie

    4 - Baldock.
    Keeper is Onana.

Probably just 2 and 3 and not trying to be too clever - I learnt the hard way with Shaw last season that trying to rotate him for seemingly harder games didn’t pay off!

I am a bit wary of bringing in Maddison. He will be running the show in the team but defenders are not going to score from his chances every week.

Their attack is looking rather depleted...

If Romero didn’t get it, Richarlison would have. Him, Son and Kulusevski is the one of the best attacks in the league if Ange gets them firing.

Whatever floats your boat. They are going to struggle not having someone capable of getting close to Kane's returns.

Maddison won't be able to carry it all on his own. That is just a fact.

I guess it's still not certain he'll start, and many people don't know why he was left out and also buy into the possible Saudi exit. I wouldn't sell him, myself.

      1. LangerznMash
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 6 months ago

Ah the Saudi exit rumours, this could be the reason. I'm not a Gabriel owner but considering bringing him in once he drops to £4.9m

    3. Hairy Potter
      • 10 Years

It wasn't Gabriel that replaced Timber when he went off. Gabriel might start this GW1, but Arteta has shown that he's not scared to drop him for tactical reasons.

Now that Arsenal have a decent Squad, I can see Arteta become the new (annoying) Pep - rotation for now reason, other than his poor poor athletes may be a bit tired playing more than 90 minutes in a week.,,,, bless them, on their 6 figure weekly salaries.....

Would you play Foden or Stones this week? Was playing Foden but after playing two 90 min games and not doing much thought he could be rested but maybe less likely if Alavarez is still not fit.
Think City will concede but you never know and Stones could get something. Was going to get rid of Stones burns he’s dropped in price now so might as well stick for the moment

Had a few questions similar. City trained this morning before travelling back to Manchester (don’t ask why). I believe this is when Stones picked up the hamstring issue. (Separate injury to that of last week).

The more I look at the fixtures the more come gameweek 5 I want my 5 defenders to all be 4.5/5m max in a back 3 rotation.

I plan on reducing my entire defence to just £29.0m total.

      Turner / Areola
      Botman / Henry / Gusto / Baldock / Kabore

Do you really want 3 Chelsea?

I'd probably have the keeper and Chilwell and leave a spot for the attackers.

Gusto is great value if he starts so i guess that's my 3.

Am I missing something but there seems to be a huge omniflap around about Gabriel missing 1 start in like 70 odd matches and loads transferring him out already. Why? I get the upgrade to chilwell argument for non owners if that's what it is.
