    This Jackson bandwagon is mental

Hasn’t even scored a goal yet and has 2 blanks to his name

Definitely been a change in mindset across the community

When I started playing about 3 seasons ago it was all about seeing results first, not jumping on to early etc. now it’s much more data driven it seems

Not saying either is better than the other, just interesting!

It's less of an eye test and more of a combination of data that's put out on twitter and what the content creators say on their channels. Not too sure how many actually watch live games.

If only Alvarez was nailed. I reckon if he starts both the next 2 ( big IF) he will easily outscore Jackson . Where is Chelsea's creativity coming from?

He’s played every min of the first 2 games, with the run up next, there’s no reason why he won’t be, they have to find a way to play without KDB & seems they have done.

He's the main (and currently only) striker of a team that faces LUT, NFO, bou, AVL, ful, and bur in the next 6 GWs. Not to mention that particular team has a ton to prove after spending like half a billion in the past few years. New hungry manager. Has nothing to do with data or content creators. It's the logical decision.

Interesting point...difficult to avoid the content creator/twitter/xg etc hive mind..

Jackson pribabky wilk get something vs LUT, but is he a hoid puck based on the limited info. ? No.

Not when Wissa, Watkins, Alvarez have decent returns in better form teams already... with ok fixtures...

Most important stats are total points/points per match which factor in most elements, *then* underlying stats as support/confirmation...

Think this has largely been forgotten due to overload of content

Had a good preseason, has looked fine in early games and had chances. The above with an easy next fixture seems like a very good chance of a goal or more.

Jackson actually played in a proper competitive league though and he's played multiple games for Chelsea now and performed. Picking Mudryk after a possibly promising debut was a mistake for sure.

Time will tell how he gets on in his upcoming games.

Thinking that Chelsea are a top team, and that their centre forward scores goals.

Ignoring the fact that none has for ages.

They were poor against a below par Liverpool in GW1 and were easily second best against an average West Ham in GW2. I've seen no evidence yet they are any better than last season.

It is simply fixtures based and lack of alternate strikers - I remember years ago I went for Elano for Man City because of fixtures and price it worked well.
Not everything is about the 'content creators' sometimes I feel as if they live rent free in many peoples heads.

Had an ok start and didn’t need to make transfers yet.. not sure what to do with 2FT’s now as I already have a benching headache this week. But burning a FT also doesn’t have my preference..

    Pickford
    Estu. Saliba, Akanji
    Saka, Rash, Mitoma, Maddison
    Watkins, Haaland, Pedro

    (Turner, Shaw, Eze, Kabore)

Mads to Mbeumo and keep Shaw on the bench?

Don’t fancy alvarez or Jackson. Will get Chillwell next week. And don’t necessarily want to triple up on city just yet.

One thing that we have not been lucky to have in seasons gone by is two playable 4.5 forwards. Archer and Semenyo. At the moment I am playing three up top but if I do decide to move to 352 in weeks from now (pending how Jackson gets on) then I will downgrade him to Semenyo as it seems Solanke is off to West Ham. I could bring in Wissa or Pedro but benching headaches and points on the bench are a pain. It just causes you to panic when it comes to team selection.

Hopefully Alvarez is nailed from now (wishful thinking) as I like the idea of having him and Haaland in a 352.

I’ve seen a few comments on here along the lines of “What are you going to do with all that money in the bank?”

Why is this the case? It isn’t essential at all to spend all the money you have. In fact, i’d argue that it’s even better to leave money in the bank in order to be more flexible in order to not be priced out by players who increase in price.

I’ve just wildcarded and have plenty in the bank simply because i see Haaland as the only premium asset that i want to own.

Same but I’ve spent some of it to save me a FT down the road while I’m on unlimited transfers.

I want Diaz for their run, I don’t want him now but I’ve brought him in and he’s already risen in price.

If you’ve got the money & you know you want a player later on (like Trippier) there’s no harm in getting them now IMO to save a FT unless you think he’s going to drop in price.

I somewhat agree but Tripper’s good fixture run is so far away..i’m sure you could plan ahead to get him in a few weeks down the line. I’ve personally steered clear of Newcastle players for now. Do plan on bringing Trippier / Isak in at some point though!

Yeah, he’s the extreme, I haven’t done that but I have with Diaz, if I get him for 7.5 instead of 7.8 & save a FT later then it would have been worth it and no harm done.

      It’s a good point.

But I don’t think it’s the FPL managers fault this year. Think they’ve got the pricing really wrong and managers think they just have to spend the full 100m week 1 with maybe 0.5 in the bank.

Mitoma, march, arsenal mids. Mbeumo on pens. Terrible pricing.

But mindset is you still need to spend all your cash!

        It actually effects team picks.

People won't bench Gabriel or say Bruno over a cheaper guy doing well.

In a lot of seasons i would agree but this season i think it’s gone out the window due to the pricing and poor returns from expensive players (Trent, Son etc.). The loss of Kane only adds to this!
