His main rival for the CF is Welbeck, who's short-term injured.
João Pedro can play up there but has been used more in a no.10 role so far, but I imagine all three of them will rotate in these positions.

Remains to be seen where Fati comes in, but he can play any attacking position so adds further complication.

I'd like to jump on Ferguson as I think he'll get some games now before EL starts, but fixtures look tricky.

Might not be. Think he's ahead of Pedro and Welbeck in the pecking order. Playing France and Netherlands over the IB. We have hope rather than expectation.

Morning all. Tricky start, but still worth holding WC a bit longer? Bruno to Son the likely alternative.

    Onana
    Gvardiol, Chilwell, Estup
    Mbeumo, Mitoma, Bruno, Saka, Maddy
    Watkins, Haaland

    (Turner, Henry, Baldock, Mabuma)

You can say te same with each player if Chelsea had someone who could finish and peel away to create more space he would of got a couple of assists and maybe a goal but as it is no one is scared of defending Jackson .To answer the question keep Sterling for the potential and rack increase worked wonders for the other week and the same this week just gone with Son playing with my gut this season not really listening to all the posts just cherry picking the ones from who know what there on about.

Is Chilwell a hold till GW8 and then move him on when Chelsea fixtures turn rotten? Picking defenders so difficult this season!

Estupinan is the only defender I am will to set forget. Double Chelsea defence will have to be out from GW9.

Disappointing weekend with just 70 points so dropped to around 1.6m overall rank. Squad is:

    Onana Turner
    Chilwell Estu Udoige Henry Kabore
    Fernandes Mitoma Saka Foden Mbuemo
    Haaland Watkins Archer

A few disappointments but still good players. I think I just need to keep a level head and not WC.

Yeah, Onana kinda feels like the biggest problem but I'm reluctant to use an FT on a goalkeeper. Watkins maybe underperforming a bit but has some good games around the corner. Mitoma has a tough run of games. Foden has good games but will likely become a rotation risk. But think I can ride it out and WC week 9.

In the same boat as you at the moment. Only thing that's tempting me to WC even with a good team is to stop the price rises on certain players if I've already got them in temp.

Depends if you like taking a risk .
I ve taken Saka out and currently on a midfield of
Foden , sterling Maddison, son and mbeumo a gamblish compared to most other teams but I’m trying to play fixtures where players are showing some form before .
So in your case I would take out Saka or Rash you’ve just got to weigh up if it’s worth it.
In my case I’ve reaped the benefits gone up from 111,000 to just over 9000 previous week with the sterling punt went from 500000 to 111000 I’m guessing the bubble going to burst but I’m happy risking it while the other teams are not flying really hope this makes sense.

  17. Lord of Ings

Strongly believe that out of all the midfielders we have in game right now, Son’s ceiling is the highest by far
Will be a challenge to fit him in but if he keeps playing striker he is essential

Salah was great yesterday but in general he’s been too wide recently.
If he drifts central of course he’s the best.
And Irrespective of how Spurs are, Son has almost always delivered the goals so not sure that matters much

Son is capable of hauling irrespective of team performance, especially if it's a case of 'we can score more than you' which seems to be the case

This is not like spurs from past few years. Not saying they will win so much - the defence will ship loads of goals. But they look like a team that will score loads.

However, I have watched them play a couple of times and they seem more possession-focused rather the counter-attacking, which I think lends itself more to points for maddison than for son, in the long run. (Burnley just don't know how to defend against son)

I don't have any coin spare, this would be the main reason to do an early swap just to save a price drop. I could potentially wildcard as there's many players I want but my team's decent enough not to waste it.

        Next GW

        Turner
        Cash - Chillwell - Gusto
        Sterling - Bruno - Saka - Salah - Mbuemo

I'd hold. If the Garna goal had stood there would be no talk of selling Utd players this week. I've taken out on wildcard but only to avoid the drop and will bring him back in at 8.4. Ditching Onana though!

Wildcard going well so far. Bringing in Jackson and Sterling was a disaster, but I wanted Pedro out, could see no other way to do it. However got Pedro out last week before his drop and saved the Rash drop to 8.9. At least I kept Sonny!!

Bruno is dropping this week as is Sterling, can get him back at 8.4, Sterling at 7.1. Gvardiol gone, Onana gone before he drops, got rid of Beyer, Baldock may drop can get him back at 3.9. Made 0.1 on JWP, Maddy, Udogie and Alvarez.

Potentially a 1.0m value swing on this wildcard window.

Just need to decide to revert to my Son Rash Bruno Ode Saka midfield or persist with Sterling...? Back to back returns for Rash but Sterling has Bournemouth...

I think keep Sterling. I feel like the odd logic of 'Bournemouth next' seems to trump everything in FPL even though Bournemouth aren't that bad; Chelsea's last 3 games against them though they've always scored at least 2 (lol).

im keeping.bournemouth could be cut to pieces, they dont really use a low block and sterling was chelseas best player against forest , he created lots of big chances but his team mates let him down.

I thought Forest might get some treatment, having crashed against us the week before! Have to monitor things. Might need the Rash money for something else anyway.

    Team

Done Sterling Jackson to Alvarez Son -4. Not great -4 to get Sterling in then -4 to get him out they just aren’t as potent as Spurs so made the jump.

    Turner
    Gabriel Chillwell Udogie
    Maddison Bruno Mbembo Saka Son
    Haaland Alvarez

    Flekken Estupinian Archer Botman

Not great done -4 last 2 weeks but what you think???

No more hits taken -8 in 5 weeks not too bad for a team which would be similar to a wildcard if I did it

Villa going to be flat track bullies this season? Looked great against poor opposition twice and looked awful against Newcastle and Liverpool, especially defensively. Commiserations to those chucking Matty Cash in this week.

Ok, i need help here please...
Such a poor start to the season!

    Current squad:

    Onana* Turner
    Henry* Chilwell Baldock ERoyal* Botman
    Bruno* Son Sterling* Saka Eze
    Haaland Jackson* Mubama*

2.5m itb, players with * i think need replacing.

This definitely warrants an international break WC, right???

Why replace Sterling?...Could argue Bruno too with next fixtures.

Not as bad as you think. You have Son already.
Henry is good I got him on my WC. Sterling & Jackson have great fixtures next 3 games (surely that’s why you bought them in?)

Mainly going off the 'eye test' and watching them play. Chelsea and ManU look pretty poor at the minute.

Missing out on players such as Mbuemo, Maddison and Alvarez is hurting my league positions.

    Advice pls:

    Turner (Areola)
    Udogie - Estu - Chilwell - Gvardiol - Henry
    Bruno - Saka - Madds - Sterling - Mbuemo
    Haaland - Alvarez - Watkins

    A) FT Watkins -> Nunez for the wolves game?
    B) Roll transfer

Would you agree that Bruno, Rashford, Maddison and Mbeumo are better options than Saka? I think xGI does agree...

What was the XG on that sitter he missed? That chance was easier than a penalty for my money, XG probably didn't agree which is why I think XG is mostly a load of rubbish.

4 games isn't a great sample size. He's on par with those options i'd say. Watching the games he's always involved. On corners and (sort of) on penalties.

Jesus back and probably Arsenal back to their system from last season with Partey out for a while should mean Arsenal overall look better

Do you need both Rashford & Bruno, or can't decide which one to drop?

I think I rather have both over Saka. Certainly xGI says so

    Hi,

    current team is:

    Turner, Onana
    Saliba, Estupinan, Chilwell, Gusto, Kabore
    Martinelli, Saka, Mbeumo, Mitoma, Foden,
    Jackson, Alvarez, Haaland

2.8m in bank and 2 free transfers.

No idea what to do with the transfers, any advice welcome!

Liverpool asset. Risk/reward with Darwin for Jackson I suppose.

Maybe Foden > Liverpool mid? Martinelli > Rashford/Bruno?

Planning on doing Onana > Turner and Pedro > Alvarez. I can do it now and will have 0.2 left in the bank afterwards.

Can I wait until after the IB or is there a risk that I get priced out?

Forest signed another keeper on deadline day so I'm not sure on Turner, I have him and Onana and am planning moving the latter out as I think Turner could get dropped at any stage

Yeah I did read about that. Problem is I need to get Pedro out and preferably for a striker I can start (hence Alvarez). Onana > Turner is my best option to make the funds

Will he be valued at 4.0 also? If so, punt on him instead of Turner?

For potential Alvarez buyers. 90 in almost every games so far but keep in mind he has a game in Argentina and then a tuesday night in Bolivia.

Any other decent options at that price? I need to get out Pedro for a second (probably starting) striker. 6.9 ITB. Tempted by Alvarez but scared of rotation especially considering Champion's League starts soon.

Seems like the kind of transfer that as soon as you do it he stops scoring. Also, does Johnson leaving affect his performance?

Plays better without Johnson so did the entire team did last season when he got injured it didn’t come as a surprise when the team started to gel and played as a unit .
Was pleased when we sold him good business and replaced him with some really good players to bring into the team for the last 20 mins of a game and cover injuries

Started in the last 10 games vlast and carrying it on so suspect it might dry up a bit but definitely and really good option and guaranteed playtime unlike some of the other options around also you’ve got archer and Ferguson too

I know this sems obvious but what about Fergy? Welbeck is injured at the moment and Fergy is only going to get better. One to monitor over the next fortnight.
