Fantasy managers will welcome the return of the Premier League following the first international break of the season.

Many managers will have played their Wildcard ahead of Gameweek 5 with Tottenham Hotspur assets among the most transferred in players this week.

Indeed, three of the top four most-bought players since the Gameweek 4 deadline are Son Heung-min, James Maddison and Cristian Romero.

Son in particular looks like an enticing prospect at home to Sheffield United as many will be expecting him to again start in a central striking role after his hat-trick from that position against Burnley.

Meanwhile, his main rival for the position, Richarlison, is yet to score or assist a Premier League goal this season.

Smarkets will therefore be leaning into this this week, with markets on both Son and Maddison to score over 7.5 and 6.5 points respectively.

As managers look to bring in the Spurs pair, someone making way from many Fantasy teams is Raheem Sterling. While he has at times failed to turn promising performances into Fantasy returns, odds of 3.5 for him to score over 7.5 points away at Bournemouth look enticing.

Arsenal will be looking to build on their late win over Manchester United as they play Everton away. Despite Everton generally struggling in the league in recent years, the Gunners have only picked up one point in total from their past five trips to Goodison Park.

Arsenal’s main Fantasy assets, such as Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, may struggle to haul in what could be a low-scoring encounter. Under 3.5 goals is heavily odds-on at 1.53 (8/15) and so there could be value in backing either Saka or Odegaard to get under 6.5 points at (8/15) and 1.67 (4/6) respectively.

There are also the usual markets on offer for fixture-proof heavy hitters Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland, both to grab over 8.5 points.

Any Gooners out here? Still have Ben White as a potential differential in the back. But he only has value if he plays RB.. How will Arteta use him the next weeks?

Hard to say for sure but I would be surprised if we don't continue with a back four, with Ben White at Right back, Gabriel and Saliba in the center, and Zinchenko inverting.

nearly all of us want to see White at RB rather than Partey, Much better link up with Saka. However Arteta seems determined to persist with his experiments. Hopefully he will give it up soon. Europe may force his hand. I have Saliba not White, but suggest you stick with White.

make a transfer or burn one.

Onana if you're not playing him at home but playing your West Ham keeper against the treble winners?

or improve on a bench player.

Just because statistics show City's defence is sound, they will not keep 38 clean sheets and teams will score against them, like SHU. Their defenders are known, other than Cancelo to not have great FPL points records each season. Last season they kept 12 clean sheets less than other teams.

City defence and Ederson will always block your route to their attack.

City will not keep 38 clean sheets. Noted.

Will also add that Haaland will not score in all 38 games.

Yet you advocate for double Brighton & Spurs defenders

      1. FOO FIGHTER

        2 years, 11 months ago

You do not have to play double each week.

You will have the option of all the weakest defences with attacking defenders.

If you don't like the idea, then don't do it. Others will find it useful after doing a spreadsheet and seeing what is on offer each gameweek.

        1. Tcheco

What about blocking routes to Brighton & Spurs attack?

You're delivering mixed messages- which wouldn't be a problem if you didn't post them in lecture form. You don't know what you're talking about Foo Fighter.

Bro, like I said, if ypu do not like it then do not do it.

Is removing Salah a bad idea? I can do the below transfer for free but wondering if taking out Salah is a risky move...

    Salah & Chukuwuenka > Son & Madisson

This would give me a midfield of:

    Bruno, Saka, Son, Madisson, Mitoma

it's a huge exchange so better value than traditional online bookies and probably a lot better than the sharks like Unibet etc.

of course, gambling can devastate finances so best avoid it altogether and the harm it causes.

tbf that was largely a result of early Friday deadlines.

they'll be more print media embargoed quotes released over Friday night that would have helped Pedro owners out last time.

In previous seasons the predicted line ups and the watch list used to be updated earlier in the gameweek and more frequently.

        Now they aren't.

Updating the predicted line up hours before the game week commences offers literally no value.

I believe my criticism is valid.

Either Ed (general manager) is on his 215th draft of explaining what FFS's core values are, or they are still trying to work out how to give him moderator rights on this site.

Asked the wrong question, muppet, need to bench 1:
    A) Sarr (SHU)
    B) Mbuemo (new)
    C) Edouard (avl)

(Playing Saka/Salah/Madds/Haaland/Alvarez, think they all have to start...)
