Good day all. Who is priority to get out/in? Maybe Foden+Szobo+Watkins to L.Diaz+Madders+Alvarez for -4 or is that too much atm?

    Onana Hennessy
    Gvardiol Gusto Estupian Udogie Gabriel
    Rashford Saka Foden March Szoboszalai
    Haaland Wissa Watkins

It’s whether you want Jackson or not right? If not then Alvarez or Wilson. If you know when you plan to wildcards that might help too. If it’s GW8 (for example) you could ditch some of the spurs but in all honesty the team looks good so I’d say roll, jump in the Alvarez bandwagon or take a punt on Wilson

Flekken or Leno (in rotation with Areola)?

Losing Henry is a shame for Brentford, worth mentioning.

Wish I could upload a pic of the rotation for context!

    Really enjoyed this article.

I began reading it thinking the author had decided to refer to himself as a doctor, in the same way others have decided that a good way to describe themselves is with a surprisingly high military rank.

Very interesting and informative, thanks Doc.

If Martinelli is not fit for the weekend, is Diaz the best replacement? Have Maddison, Saka, Bruno and Sterling as the other mids.

Yeah I still think Diaz is a great option. Really unlucky not to get anything v Wolves and actually looks as much as if not more of a goal threat than Salah at the moment with the way he's attacking the box. Already own him & he's pretty locked as one of my Liverpool attacking double up from GW9 (still undecided on Salah). Guess the only downsides are post-IB rotation risk and the next 3 fixtures aren't that great if you're going to WC soon

Depends, also, on how much heartbreak you have room for in your life.

The number of times the BBC update last couple of Liv games would start with "Close!" and then be followed by mentions of Diaz...

Really struggling this year! Is it just me, or has having 2 young kids finally caught up with me! Not been able to watch any games about from the ones of the team I support, and only seen one motd.

Anyways, sitting at 4.5m OR( never finished below 250k in 10 years)

Going to play wc to mix it up a bit.
Is it awful? Tv is rubbish as haven't been watching the prices at all like I'd normally do.

    3-5-2
    Areola/Turner
    Botman/Estu/Digne( Lampty/ Richards)
    Salah/Son/Saka/Doku/Mbuemo
    Haaland/Hojlund(Edourd)

I wouldn't get Hojlund, Digne, or Tunrer on WC. I think Doku could be too much of a gamble in the long run as run. Any other players you'd consider?

    2. The Mentaculus

Defence looks a little thin to me. I'm not convinced that Lamptey will see much gametime (Estupinan was virtually never rotated last season) and much as I like Digne right now he is likely to be usurped by Moreno in the next few weeks. Same goes for Turner with Vlachodimos although I think permastarting Areola is fine. I would probably do Edouard - Archer & use the money for a defensive upgrade or 2

Should I go Mubama to Eduard to capitalise on the home Fulham fixture (and go Chilwell / estu / ugogje defence with Kabore bench) OR go Chilwell to Botman and play Botman / estu / udogi with Awoniyi up front against City?

Hi lads what do you think of this WC
    Flekken (Areola)
Estupinian - Botman - Schar (Anderson)
    Mbuemo - Rashford - Diaby - Salah - Saka
    Haaland - Alvarez (Archer)

I am tempted to go with the double newcastle defence because their fixtures are so good and could be a good way to get ahead of people in the next few weeks, however i am tempted with doing Schar - Udogie instead to get a spurs player in as after the next 2 games their fixtures are really good, what do you think?

Interested to know what peoples thoughts are on their preferred keeper of choice at the moment?. On Pickford/Turner combo and itching to sell Pickford. Areola still looks the standout, but in a few GW's Martinez becomes very appealing and at the same time we may know a bit more about Raya.....so there is a good case to stick a few more weeks and re-assess.

Agree its a v nice combination on paper. I've got bigger fires to put out in my defence so it will need to wait a week or 2.

Just wrote quite a long post on Flekken & Leno on the previous page in Hazz's WC thread. I really like Raya & to my eyes he's a clear upgrade on Ramsdale but Arteta's comment about wanting to sub GKs is warning enough to wait & see. Areola is fine - my WHU skepticism is wearing off now. But beyond them I don't see a whole lot of appealing options tbh. Botman cheaper than Pope. Spurs & Villa FBs offer such attacking threat that I much prefer them to Martinez/Vicario (also neither team looks all that reliable for CS alone). Alisson could be an option if willing to splash the cash. Turner/Vlachodimos too uncertain. Maybe Foderingham could be worth a closer look as a save pt merchant?

Hmm yeah I seem to recall he had a few hauls & did quite well for saves last season but I haven't looked too closely on the assumption that Bournemouth's new style might see them give up fewer shots when winning the ball back higher up the pitch and more big chances when they don't

      2. CRAZY TRAIN
        • 14 Years

Yep agree Raya is definately a watch for the next few,.Not sure on my WC plans yet but losely thinking about Pickford > Areola as a shorter term move to mitigate that one, and maybe Turner to Raya when I WC (likely around GW9 I think).

I'm on Martinez and Turner but would prefer Raya and Areola given the choice.

Martinez, Allison and Ederson all head off for October and November return trips to South America which must be material too.

Villa got great fixtures from GW8 though so Martinez could do very well during that run of games. Get that there is more value in Matty Cash (Digne less so with Moreno coming back) but I think there's a good case for a double up with their run!

    He's:
    - 5.5 cost
    - Seems to be preferred on the left by Howe

UCL finalist and premium-price goalie for a team that had golden glove last year, against a promoted team missing their main striker through suspension.
Or a new goalie in a hyper attacking team playing away to league runners-up in a fixture that always delivers goals.

Seems an easy call to make.

VVD isn't really someone I would have picked at the moment but you've seen off the suspension & the fixtures are turning decent for CS soon so I would probably hold (and start Cash instead short-term?).

Looks like you can spare an FT for a GK change if you want
