    Chiwell owners, what to do?
    A) Keep and play
    B) Bench and play Kabore (even reading this is blasphemous)
    C) Sell for someone not from NEW (have trippier already)

Funny how you’re so bullish Son is a terrible pick, you do realise Son is much better vs High line oppositions right? He has a decent record vs both Arsenal and Liverpool
Did you even watch how Deep Maddison was in the United game?

          • 3 Years

Think our definition of funny may vary. Son plays for a new manager under a new system and his role is unclear. Not sure you can use previous games as an indicator and pretty sure there has been a high line team in the last 4 out of 5 GWs he has blanked. I know you are angry you transferred Son in and he blanked but you can rectify, or you can keep and he may do well.

          1. Lord of Ings
            • 10 Years

Hardly angry because nothing is certain in Football
Calling him a bad pick is dumb considering his past record, he literally needs half the chances as compared to your average Joe and he will haul
2-3 weeks down the line sure I might be wrong but benching someone who’s on penalties and has always had a history of overperforming his xG is dumb to say the least.

Paul Merson says he'd be shocked if Spurs beat Arsenal on Sunday, and "if you go toe-to-toe against Arsenal, there's only one winner. Because of the way they pass the ball and move between the lines, I don't know if Spurs could live with Arsenal. They will get blown away."

Glad I'm tripled up on Spurs then

If Chilwell starts in GW6, he's going to be a strong pick for GWs 7 and 8 due to the fixtures for other popular assets

Your WC team loses two of Ange's attackers before they face two high lines in a row, and loses Estupiñán vs Bournemouth

This looks like a simple Baldock to Botman for me, unless you've used the FT already. Allows you to bench Saliba and Udogie, then one more GW to see if Chilwell is brought back for Colwill or Mudryk. Unless Poch says something clear and believable in his next presser, we can't really know this until the GW6 teamsheets

I understand the rush to Salah, but I'm not sure the gains outweigh the potential losses here

        Thanks for your reply.
Chilwell produced 1 point against NFO & Bou combined.
I can keep Estu and Maddison in my WC team. But in this case, I have to sacrifice Rashford

        1. Ze_Austin
          • 7 Years

Chilwell is still the most attacking defender in the game. It's why you got him in the first place

Estupiñán got 3 points combined from the last three GWs, but I really wish I could have him vs Bournemouth

We've gotta look forward with these things and see past just the returns. Stats, eye test, everything else point at likely attacking returns against their upcoming opponents. The only issue is that I don't know what Poch will do next

Here's another way to look at it: this WC could be easier in GW7, getting Estupiñán's good fixture out of the way before selling him, and with clearer info on Chilwell's status

    2. speardrops
      • 13 Years
      2 years, 6 months ago

Front line no changes, Onana has Burnley. So both are those are already great.

Only one bad fixture for your defenders which can be sorted with any of them to Botman.

Midfield was already good. Diaby has an unpredictable fixture and you still have Saka v Spurs.

I'd stick. Not enough to warrant it.

the hand ball rule now is probably the most glaringly f***ed law in the game now. it gets worse every season. what exactly is eriksen being punished for ? is eriksen trying to gain an advantage. no. the player is half a yard in front of him and heads the ball towards him at pace. you cant possibly imply eriksen knew what he was doing in that instant. is he to just stand there with both hands behind his back VVD style? his stance looked completely normal to me. its not even a chance if it gets passed him. the threshold is so low now. a player is being punished for next to nothing because an opponent did next to nothing with the football. a penalty and most likely a goal just being manufactured like magic by refs and var for the most seemingly non consequential reason possible

    1. x.jim.x
      • 11 Years

No sympathy for refs who spent decades blaming mistakes on the “impossible job” and begging for help, only for them to misuse, abuse and/or disregard that same help and make shocking decisions like that one.

Same, but Spurs and Man City ahead, in the same GWs in which Areola faces Liverpool and Newcastle

Awful timing for a rotation 😀

I am going to predict the midfield and attack should these be fit for City. Not going to bother who may play in defence as it is probably the worst spots to figure out.

    Haaland
    Alvarez Foden
    Nunes Kovacic Rodri

When Doku has not played it has literally been Alvarez and Foden pretty much playing behind Haaland.

Yes there will be twin 8s behind Haaland, or Alvarez more like a 10 ahead of Rodri & Kovacic. But definitely not with 3 central mids behind them & no wingers

Doku has played less than 2 league games but that's never going to stop Foo being adamant with his views.

This is what the Man City watchers think with Grealish back for gw7, perhaps a bench cameo before then?

            Haaland
            Doku-Alvarez-Foden-Walker
            Rodri-Nunes

You were also adamant Diaz would start and went on for days having a meltdown about it calling everyone else out for believing the BS resting myth. He was subsequently rested. Even though you were adamant he would start, you then moved to Son who is more expensive, got 1 point more and now has worse fixtures. Couldn't make it up. Daddy bird here to keep you right though. Open up.

Pep is going to play 3 defensive mids and no wingers against NFO at home? I think I will stick to the team news on here. far more accurate and less laughable. Doku will also start if Grealish is still injured. 8/10 for effort.

If I do Jackson > Alvarez, Alvarez will be benched (will become the undroppable for Champions League matches) and Jackson will get a hatty.

If I don't do it the opposite will be true.

But I'll probably Wildcard in 9 or 10 to get salah

And can't see an obvious way to get salah before, even with botman

    3. Bobby Crush

Ideally, I would keep Chilwell to see if he will be back in.
Chelsea have two good fixtures after Villa.

So, not to keen on these moves.

    4. Ze_Austin
      • 7 Years

Either move could easily turn out to be wrong timing, imo

Hamer (long distance) and Archer (fox in the box) add new dimensions to the Sheffield attack, who'll be at home here against some pretty stretched Newcastle legs

I'm buying Botman for Henry so I definitely think a CS is likely... But this could go wrong if both Chilwell (unsure) and Dias (expected) start
