My WC is activated and really want this team but is it too risky considering the injuries?

    Areola (Turner)
    Burn* Botman* Kabore (Cash Udogie)
    Salah Son* Maddison* Bowen Diaby
    Haaland Alvarez

Most seem likely to play and looks like your bench can handle bit of risk.

      Archer as 3rd striker?
I say do it. Any absentees this week can be covered by bench.

Best one week punt before WC8?

    A) Archer to Morris (bench Mbeumo/Saka)
    B) Chilwell to Trippier (bench Estupinan)

          Or just reading them?

Trippier would be the one anyway but I’d also be considering how to fit him into the WC if I were you too.

Next week I am planning on doing Jota and Gvardiol to Son and Taylor with -4

Since Gvardiol have played 90 minutes on midweek game too so he could be benched against wolves and come back for 10/15 minutes.

So instead of doing -4 next week does it make sense to do -4 this week and bring Taylor for the doubles.

    Thanks

Is no one considering a "free hot". The likelihood of the strong teams playing a double game week will result in having the players already in the squad, no? This weekend the fixtures are appealing as Luton, Burnley, Everton and West Ham are all favourable and are different to the usual suspects that will already be in squads when there time comes. Am I mad to think this?

        It's all in the article

“Madders and Sonny trained today, they just finished the session and seemed to get through it not too bad. But we’ll just have to see how they pull up because it’s fair to say they’re still a bit sore after last week and have had a disrupted week of training. So, it’s just a matter of seeing how they pull up now.”

I can understand the flag, but they'll surely start...

The more I look at it, the more I like the idea of bench boosting this week.

Already used my 2 FTs and have no idea who's gonna play, start, cameo, miss out. So why not collect all the 1 and 2 pointers I can and gamble on some hauls! Not like I ace the chip at the best of times and might not be too many DGWs this season.

    A) Deluded?
    B) Maverick?

    FPL fun with flags...

Genuinely don't know what to do this week.

    Areola
    Estupinan Botman Kabore
    Salah Saka Maddison Mbeumo Foden
    Haaland Alvarez
    (Turner Saliba Osula Baldock)

1.7m ITB allowing Foden > Son next week. 1 FT left.

I think Botman, Maddison start. I think Saka, Estupinan and Saliba are 50/50.

    Debating these options:
    A) Osula > Morris with an eye on WC 8
    B) Baldock > Taylor to cover bench and keep Foden > Son open
    C) Saliba > Cash to get Villa defense early and take out one of the doubts
    D) Mbeumo > JWP/Gordon to pounce on this week's good home fixture assuming all my flagged players start.

Thoughts? Any other options worth considering?

He's played 3 games in a row and there's a European game midweek they have to win. Rare to see players play 4 times in 9 days.

I'd rather sell Saliba than Estu just because of the attacking threat Estu has.

I'm actually leaning B atm. Weird one but it's one of the few moves that is guaranteed to improve my team and adds cover for flagged players.

Would bench Estu and play Taylor.

Estupinan played 2x 90mins per week over & over last season. He's a machine. I think he would have been rested in the cup rather than at Villa since its a big game for them.

D looks alright. Not really keen on the bench strengthening moves

4 games in 9 days is a workload that he hasn't been put through yet. I'm sceptical even he can manage that. Brighton had no Europe last year.

Pretty much locked in to WC8 and increasingly feeling that’s the right call. My team has been doing well but the Brighton, Brentford, Chelsea, City and Arsenal fixture swings would be brutal without a WC.

Not too concerned about flagged defenders given Colwill cover, but Saka missing Bournemouth would be a big blow.

    1 FT, 0.1 ITB
    Ederson // Turner
Estupiñán Botman* Kaboré // Colwill Reguilón**
    Salah Rashford Saka* Mbeumo Mitoma
    Haaland Álvarez // Osula**

    Suggestions for one week punts?

A: Saka to Bowen, if Saka doesn’t travel
    B: Reguilon to Burn
C: Saka and Osula to Bowen and Morris (-4)
D: Mitoma and Osula to Doucouré and Morris (-4)
    E: something else?

      B. Morris scores 4 just for playing both games, and faces Burnley and Everton, worth the punt

You should at least get a lot of points from 193 outfield players

If Diaby’s out, I’ll probably just play Estu. Nothing jumping out at me as worth a hit

      Is Diaby injured?

I don't like that quote from Pep regarding Grealish, Dokue and Foden.

"The guys who compete better will have better chances to play. It has always been like that"

Queue Grealish starting and Foden bench this GW, despite Grealish doing nothing but being injured and getting a different haircut.

I'd hoped that Grealish playing the full 90 on Wednesday would mean he would be benched tomorrow. ugh

Almost all City players finish the season on around 2000 minutes. He likes to manage the amount of minutes in their legs, and frequently mentions it in conferences.

He'll rotate at the first opportunity to do so. Bernardo likely back in the next couple of weeks, so no doubt rotation will go into overdrive then.
