    A. Estupinan + Alvarez -> Digne/Pau + Watkins (can't afford Cash)

Played 90 mins in every game this season except Forest in PL (subbed at 57 after Rodri's red card), EFL cup (subbed at 73), and the Super Cup (subbed on for 5 mins). Pretty much as nailed as a City attacker could be I think

Morning all, question for you for this GW coming up.

    A. Maddison for free
    B. Son for -4

I’d be selling Foden for both, Morris would be downgraded as well as part of the Son move. Id probably captain Son but not sure if I would Maddi.

I think the Luton game will suit Maddison more. But even Son can hurt Luton. It all depends on your plans post this gameweek actually.

Yep I think you’re right mate. Going Maddison allows me to possibly move to a 343 with either Darwin or Watkins up top. Going Son forces me to stay on 352.

    2. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 5 Years

If you're putting captaincy into it then I might have to say B, assuming it's a long term move of course and that he might be a captaincy option for further games. For what it's worth though Maddison was a wonder save away from a goal himself on Saturday

Yes I did see that on the highlights, although a lot of people saying he was very deep for a lot of the game as well?

Getting Son means I stick to 352, I’ll have Haaland, Salah and Son as armband options.

If I go Maddison moving to 343 with Darwin or Watkins remains possible.

        1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
          • 5 Years

He sort of was deep but it's just his role, he drops deep at points to build the play or thread balls through from there, but he's always high up the pitch at other stages too, I didn't see anything different from him v Liverpool to other games personally. Was another occasion too where he was in a bit of space in the box with just one defender there and Son had the chance to play him in and instead shot from miles out

Thanks Nate. Would you feel comfortable giving Maddison the armband? Other options for me that week would be Haaland or Salah.

I've done it a couple of times and it went OK (would have done it v Bournemouth too but there was an injury concern), honestly I'm not too sure who I'll captain between him and Son. Luton have been much improved seemingly of late, I read they outplayed Wolves last week even before the red card and then they beat Everton on Saturday. I think they're organised well enough so might suit Maddison more but I need to catch up on MOTD to see how the Everton game went to decide first

Yeah agreed BB, I think 343 is different to the crowd and picking up that third striker slot is a nice differential. I like your WC team below, it just means you cant get that 8.5-9.5m midfielder. Salah the easy downgrade eventually.

I’d love to do that but my selling price for Leno is 4.6 which only means I can reach a 4.4 defender with those moves and there aren’t any I like more than Kabore

      I’d sacrifice Leno > Areola.

I don't really like just Areola + Turner, but dropping Bowen to JWP & Leno to Areola gains you 1.5m.

Bowen comes JWP & Chukwuemeka becomes Neto/Gordon.

Would advise caution over Chukwuemeka due to injury return and our other 'options' but I guess similar points potential to Archer anyway. Awful fixtures though.

I'm far less concerned about him being available for MCI than I was for BOU (and I always thought he was likely to start vs BOU).

Because they are looking fo justify reasons to get rid of him. He's actually capable of matching Salah this season imo. For 4 mil less.

He and Odegaard seem to decide between them on the spot who takes it. Odegaard took the one v Palace and effectively said he had a feeling about it and wanted it, although seems like the decision ultimately rests with Saka

At least I can get Botman back after the IB when he should be back and likely to have dropped back to 4.5 by then. Would like to have Trippier but means my defence is not going to be great. He will be 7m soon as well and for a defender think that is just too much.

I was thinking of holding but I think now I may just do the same. Can't rely on Howe to honestly say if he's fit after the IB or not and it'll probably be a tight game v Palace but I could see them conceding. At that stage will probably wait until GW12 to get him back

      1. FOO FIGHTER

Howe in his post match said Botman won't be back before the IB. I guess it depends how serious his knee is. That is why I think he will drop back to 4.5 so willing to wait until he is declared fit again.

    1FT 0.5ITB

    Onana, Turner
    Schar, Botman, Udogie, Gvardiol, estupinan
    Rashford, Bruno, Mbeumo, son, maddison
    Archer, Haaland, Alvarez

    1. Athletic Nasherbo

I would. But I don’t like GW8 at all for it. Doesn’t feel right with an IB and goes against most of the logic the experts spew week on week.

Personally, if you weren’t to WC I’d look at Mbeumo/Gvardiol + Rashford out.

In terms of players to target, I do think Trent could be golden given the fixtures so he’s is one to get on early!

For midfielders I can’t look past Bowen, but if you want Trent you’d need to go cheaper so Diaby is a good shout.

To be honest, I think you can hold off with just 1FT.

Who would you say is the best 5.1m or less defender.

    Already have Cash + Udogie..

This player will be my 3rd defender in a back 3 and likely starting each week with Kabore/Beyer on the bench.
Already played WC so can't rely on that for wholesale changes but may switch around my main trio from time to time.
Areola and Flekken my keepers if that makes any difference.

    Thinking-
    Botman/Schar or Gabriel..
    Who would you recommend?
    Thanks.

Coming from lessons learnt over the years, I advise you don't ever work out the point difference in your team, had you made zero transfers all season up to this point. It makes for grim reading most of the time.

Team looking a little battered, thinking of wildcard:
    Current squad
    Areola
    Estupinan Chilwell* Botman*
    Saka* Diaby* Salah Son
    Wissa Alvarez Haaland

    Subs: Turner, Beyer, Bell, Baptiste*

Thinking of wildcarding to the following:
    Areola
    Burn Udogie Cash
Son Maddison Diaby* Diaz [Liverpool cover letting Salah go]
    Watkins Alvarez Haaland

Subs: Johnstone, X, X, Neto/Eze with £12.1m ITB to get two defenders and have some money to play with.

    Thoughts and suggestions?

Thinking of just Gvardiol > Porro leaving me with the below.

    Onana
    Trippier / Porro / Colwill
    Saka / Son / Fernandes / Neto
    Haaland / Watkins / Morris

    Turner / Mbuemo / Estupinan / Baldock

Will then likely wildcard next week to rejig and get Salah in

Zero chance, if only for optics.
EtH probably has 3 or 4 weeks left, falling out with one of the few "decent" attacking players he has available would just accelerate his inevitable sacking.

Another wildcard draft. Quite enjoying making them. Interesting to see how bold some of the best managers will go, sadly these days I doubt it will be much!

Only issue here is no Villa. Alternative would be to get rid of Odegaard, but I’d prefer then maybe White or someone in the defence because Arsenal’s fixtures good gameweek 10 onwards.

    Areola
    TAA Robertson Porro Cash
    Son Saka Odegaard
    Haaland Alvarez Foster

    Fabianski Gordon* Burn Chukwuemeka
