Yeah agree, prob why I'm agonising over this. Does Alvarez keep form? Could Darwin hit a run of mins and go explosive?

Only reason I’m wondering with mins is following FFS ‘team lineup prediction’ and news section. Obviously isn’t accurate but half-wondering with Alvarez being last over if he’ll start or play more than 45. I’m likely taking a punt on Jota anyways presuming he’ll start of Nunez

Yeah true, but Pep seems to randomly drop players for a rest every so often. And Darwin looks like he's done enough to get into the first 11.

It’s different for City this season. Mahrez gone, Gundo gone, Palmer gone and Kdb out. He needs Alvarez. Someone has to help Haaland. He can’t win on his own. Pool got good fixtures though but it’s much more a Klopp rullette

Pep - he's done similar things with Foden and Grealish in the past after a run of good form and lots of praise. But maybe I'm giving too much weight to a couple of previous experiences? I appreciate your feedback.

I mean.. he might be rotated, but why have him in the first place then? He will likely get rested from time to time, but as you know, that's always the risk with pep.

If you own him, you pretty much have to play him.. especially this week.

          Alvarez home to Brighton.

Brighton are playing well, but are leaving in a lot of goals. Only 3 teams have conceded more, so I would definitely want a bunch of Man City this week.

Im also wildcarding next week so in the same boat as the guy below but I have 8.9 to spend on a one week punt and was eyeing a united punt but seems it would be better to not take that risk, but yeah will wait till deadline and hope there is some news, but could still not be worth the risk in case there is a last min postponement.

Back to the drawing board to find this punt worthy pick

          • 8 Years
          2 years, 3 months ago

          For under 7.2?

The ones he listed were all cheap bench fodder mostly. Only Neto is a good option and honestly, I'd go Neto instead of Diaby now that I think about it. Bournemouth are leaving in a lot of goals.

          1. ZimZalabim
            • 9 Years
            2 years, 3 months ago

none of them are cheap bench fodder, more like cheap enablers as your 4th or 5th mid depending on structure.

If he wanted a pick for next few weeks then I would agree on Diaby but as hes wildcarding next week and wants a one week punt all have a better fixture than Diaby in GW9.

Then its just a matter of preference for me would be Gordon over Neto but Neto is a good punt as well.

Spurs have a strong defense, especially at home. They've left in only 2 goals, and 1 each against Man Utd and Liverpool. This week they are against Fulham who aren't scoring particularly highly.

Definitely a good chance of a CS from Spurs this week. I also think Newcastle have a good chance at CS also (so Burn would be decent then)

oh nevermind. I didn't read properly

He's suggesting to bench Udogie. I would definitely not bench udogie out of those 4.

Tough choice, but if forced, I would bench Cash out of all 4 of those. They are unlikely to get a CS this week IMO

Having a terrible start to the season and bottom of my mini leagues. Would you WC the below? Or would you save transfer and do Bruno/Sterling->Salah/someone next week? Starred players are ones I would probably lose on a wildcard

Saka (che) Bruno* (shu) Mitoma (city) Sterling* (ARS) Mbeumo* (BUR)

out of interest... why are so many WC-ing next week? other than brighton, maybe arsenal, there doesn't seem to much of a fixture swing (liverpool already have a good fixtures this week after all)

      2 years, 3 months ago

uh.. aren't Botman and Saka injured? Bruno possibility of being postponed because of flooding (but if not, he's a great pick this week).

I would keep Mbeumo this week at least, that is a good fixture.

Why are you benching Gvardiol? isn't this basically an ideal week for him?

If it were me, I'd probably wouldn't WC this week, but maybe next week.

Thanks - I don't think anyone knows if Saka will start. Arteta doesn't give anything away.

It was a toss up between Gvardiol and Botman for me - might switch last minute. City only have 2 CS this season and Gyardiol offers 0 attacking threat.

        1. SalahFingers
          • 8 Years
          2 years, 3 months ago

Yeah I definitely wouldn't sell Saka at this point, but it's hard to know if he'll start or not.

City have 3 clean sheets this season. Only Crystal Palace have more. City have also conceded the least amount of goals this season and are at home, where they've left in only 1 goal this whole season. I don't see your logic with Gvardiol. Seems silly to have him and not play him when it's basically an ideal fixture for him.

Botman is also against one of the lowest scoring teams (crystal palace). Isn't botman still injured, so he's likely to be taken off for your first sub anyway?

I would bench Cash over Gvardiol 100%

Team looks fine to me - I'd save the transfer. And then get Mitoma once City game cleared. What would you do in my position (post above)?

Evening all. 0ft, 0.5 itb. Current tm is below and holding this gw.

    Leno/Areola
Cash - Trips- Porro (gusto, Al Dakhil)
    Salah (c) - Saka - Son - Mitoma - Neto
    Alvarez - Haaland (Archer)

Villas fixtures look great. Is it crazy to do, Haaland and Son to Watkins and Maddison next gw?

    Ta

Short answer: yes. Why not just do Alvarez/Son to Watkins and Maddison? What would you do in my position (post above)?

Yeah Alvarez and Son to Maddison and Watkins is a good shout. Wouldn’t want to take out Haaland.

Do we captain Haaland or Salah?

H - City at home, Brighton conceding loads, previous results against Bri good, Rodri back and city need to win. Haaland hasn’t scored in last few games (surprisingly lol)

S- Salah and Liverpool form, Liv at home & derby day,. Does the 12.30 kick off superstition kick in though.

Yeah. I’m a pool fan, I think the Haaland FOMO just gets me though alongside his form/returns at home.

How many times would salah over Haaland cap worked in the last 4/5 weeks? A lot i think

Aw honestly, I know it would’ve and it still annoys me lol. Last year I thought Haaland wouldn’t be that consistent and missed out on loads of (C). Now this year the opposite has happened a few times.

Previous week I decided to go different with Son instead of Salah but that happened to be another ‘Sterling’ event and ended up a blank lmao.

Might just TC Turner now see if the luck spins around

One week punts (wildcarding next week)

    A) Saka to Bruno
    B) Botman to Burn
    C) Both for a hit
    D) Neither

I’m likely doing Saka to Jota…or possibly Martinelli.

Considered Bruno with stats and fixture; apparently may be issues with game tomorrow due to weather but unsure on how reliable it is.

I hope that Jim Ratcliffe will be a good thing for manutd.

Taking over the sports side of things apparently. United spent the most last 10 years, so clearly money is not the problem.

Needs to deliver a couple of big signings in January to make it up to the fans for all the tough years. I’m talking 80m+ players or they’re going to have a problem again

Alvarez is a tough player to have. Minutes risk, IB travel etc but as long as he's starting he's so hard to take out. City forward for that price. A dilemma player
