Saka, although I do think Darwin is being overlooked on here. I’m seriously considering going with both and losing Haaland (for Darwin)

Love my team, nice 1.4M rank increase this week. No Haaland paying off (for now…)

I have 2 FTs, 1.7M in the bank, and the only thing I am considering is Odegaard to Saka or perhaps a defender to an Arsenal defender.

What do you think guys? Saka more optimal than Odegaard, yet feels like a luxury move. But perhaps the right time to do it if I have no other fires to put out?

    Areola Turner
    Trippier Udogie Cash Geuhi Taylor
    Salah Son Maddison Bowen Odegaard
    Watkins Alvarez Archer

Saka almost 50% owned. He can hurt your rank, like Trippier also almost 50% owned.

Why are so many people in the comments set on selling Spurs midfielders for Saka ?

I get the short term fixtures are better and it’s getting ahead of the pack but Spurs mids in their current form seem like season keepers for me now especially with no European football.

Saka has had injury problems already this season, is no longer guaranteed to be on pens and has a further 4 mid week Champions League fixtures coming up.

What am I missing that makes Saka so essential ?

      several things.
On paper it's the fixtures. Also it's a historic perception that it's Spurs so they can't maintain their form. Personally I'm keeping Maddison & Son until there's a drop off rather than just anticipating one. Different Spurs this season. Can Saka get a few more points maybe but if you're not captaining him then is it worthy it? Always prefer form over fixtures myself

        Good points well made.

I’m also keeping Maddison and Son, just can’t see any reason to sell right now.

I’d then rather have Haaland, Watkins and Salah over trying to squeeze the money to get Saka.

Fixtures are really good for Arsenal and Saka has blanked in only 1 game this season... He's been a genuine elite option and takes pens (not all the time annoyingly).

I do think he's better than Maddison because of the fixtures. Son since moving to CF has been the highest scoring player in the game so yeah tougher to sell him.

I can see short term Saka may be better with those fixtures but Madisson looks like a season keepe for me on current form.

It’s Saka’s fitness and Champions League involvement that would concern me.

Saka no longer being certain on Pens is a massive loss too.

Simple fact is there are so many good players at a similar price point this season, that at times you'll have to sell good players for good players to get an edge.

Latest WC draft for GW 10.

What do you think? Too risky?

    Raya - Areola

    Trippier - TAA - Tsimikas - Gabriel - Taylor

    Salah - Saka - Bowen - Son - Mitoma

    Watkins - Alvarez - Mubama

    Areola (Turner)
    _________ Tsimikas Udogie (Burn Kabore)
    Salah Son Saka Maddison ________
    Haaland Alvarez (Archer)

    A) Trippier + Palmer

    B) Cash + Mitoma (+0.5 in the bank for Kabore to Guehi next week)

WC still in hand . This is just a rephrased question on how to use my 2 FTs. Cheers

      Not sure about both.

Palmer has difficult fixtures. And Cash soon as well.

I think you need Trippier though and Watkins.

Maybe consider dropping Haaland for Watkins. Should give you enough for Tripps and an upgrade of your midfielder next GW.

    Is Haaland really essential?

    Without Haaland;-

    Johnstone
    Gabriel Trippier Cash
    Saka Gordon Salah Diaby Son
    Alvarez Watkins

    Turner Guehi, Archer Taylor

    3.7m itb

    ____________

    With Haaland;-

    Areola
    Tsimikas Cash Burn
    Saka Gordon Salah Diaby Son
    Haaland Watkins

    Turner Lascelles Archer Taylor

    0.1m itb

    Hello, how are we all?

A couple of weeks ago I thought I would downgrade one of Son or Maddison to bring in Watkins, but I’m getting second thoughts… who would you sacrifice to get Watkins in?

    A) Son or Maddison to upgrade Alvarez
    B) Haaland (for one week, save FT)
    C) Darwin (by turning Doucoure into 4.5 fodder)
    D) Something else

    2FT 0.0ITB
    Areola
    Cash Schar Udogie
    Salah Son Maddison Gordon
    Haaland Alvarez Darwin

    Turner Burn Doucoure Kabore

    Thanks

I can get to this team for free, but it means playing 4-5-1 with a fodder bench.

    What do you reckon?

    Areola
    Trippier - Porro - Cash - Udogie
    Salah - Saka - Son - Diaby - JWP
    Haaland

This needs definitely more thinking. Bench points are not lost points. I think avoiding headache just to dodge points isn't viable strategy. You never know when you need your subs. And is there possibility for planned rotation?

    Turner / Areola
    Trippier, Botman, Cash, Udogie, Andersen
    Salah, Son, Bowen, Palmer, Naka4.4
    Watkins, Alvarez, Haaland

    0.4 itb, 0 ft

Not having Saka is the issue, but he hasn't been the most explosive player and Son is capable to score from counter attacks. Bowen has also nice run of fixtures. I am considering to sell Haaland after Bou for Saka + Jesus/Darwin. That would leave
2.9 million itb. Crazy times. When Salah goes to Afcon and if either of the two gets injured, we shall see huge inflation with unforeseen BB-teams.

I'm surprised of the buzzing activity so early this week as there is a good chance for injuries and other fun due to European Cup games.

It shall be easier to predict minutes and rotation risks on Friday.

Currently, I can't see for example why I would need to sell in form Spurs players to bring on Arsenal players like Saka who looked tired already against Chelsea plus the CL distraction with crucial fixtures against Sevilla.

Or take Newcastle with 4/5 away games until the next IB after the Dortmund game tomorrow including the EFL-Cup game in Manchester. Even Tripps is not a bank.

For West Ham it was probably good that JWP and Bowen didn't play for England with their busy schedule ahead. But it depends on how serious they take Olympiacos and the EFL Cup game at Arsenal.

I think, there is probably a slight advantage for Aston Villa, ManCity and BHA as they don't have too important Cup games and no EFL Cup fixtures. Also Liverpool should be able to rest their key players against Toulouse and Bournemouth. But we shall see what that means for Darwin and Tsimikas.

Trying to persuade myself I don’t need Watkins. In the 4 games prior to Forest, Luton only conceded 1 per game (including the Spurs attack).
Are they defensively resolute or overdue a drubbing?
