The only person I could *potentially* see him being rotated with is Fati, with Pedro/Lallana at 10 and Ferguson at 9.

However, I think it's much more likely that Mitoma starts LW.

Appreciate any help. What to do with my ft.

    How 2ft and 0.2m IBT

    Areola (Turner)
    Trippier-Burn-Cash-Porro (Lamptey)
    Salah-Son-Madders-Diaby (E .Anderson)
    Haaland-Watkins(Mubama)

Really want to go 3-5-2 but cant take hit this week as its last week in our quarter league and im 9 points behind leader.

Should i go without Son (+Andersson) to get Mitoma+Bowen?
Maybe Madders+Porro to Saka+Gabriel? Then i couldnt go with five mids.

    Any other options.

I think the only viable replacement for Salah while he is away for Afcon is KDB, pending his fitness and the form he is in once he is back in the City team of course. Easy jump off and on again without ripping up your team to get Mo back again.

He'll miss Bournemouth which is a shame, but if Egypt make it all the way he's also missing Chelsea and Arsenal so it's not the worst time to drop him anyway. If they don't get to the final he might be back for Burnley and then have Brentford and Luton so he'll be an immediate buy back

No, the logical move would be to change and adjust the system again. You should at least consider getting Haaland back when Salah leaves for AFCON, if it won't be too late anyway.

Luton are a decent home team but away a different story. I think we could have another repeat of the Brighton vs Luton result, possibly worse this time for Luton.

I find too much of it is 'group think', very rare you'll see one go a bit against the grain, safety in numbers and all that. Sometimes its sensible but sometimes its the bling leading the blind, see double Man Utd midfield and Chilwell is essential for earlier examples of this.

      1. FOO FIGHTER
        • 6 Years

The content just keeps on getting worse tbf. Too much of it out as well wich is a case of quantity over quality.

Basically "lets just set up the next stream or video" releasing a repeat.

      2. Ze_Austin

Chilwell is still in the top five for xGI among all defenders, from only 4 starts

He was excellent because he was playing as a winger. That was not blind. Nobody predicted what happened next, and then the "groupthink" moved on when Poch made it clear that Colwill was the LB

It's like saying Estupiñán was a bad pick because he eventually scored an own goal and got a hamstring injury

        1. Tommy Template
          • 11 Years

the blind was not seeing that Chelsea were lacking a goal scorer. Its like Bruno. So what if his xgi is high, reality is if they don't score goals it doesn't mean anything.

            • 11 Years

Also I'd argue that Chilwell getting injured was very likely to happen at some stage. He'll come back and he'll get injured again. Crocked players spend half of the season crocked, its no coincidence.

Nkunku's retyrn could see Chelsea resolving some of their problems with a lack of goals. He is back in light training. Think we should see him getting some minutes somewhere around December.

He'd already gotten an assist against Liverpool in GW1

It's fine to later realise the team isn't doing as well and move on, but getting him in the first 4 GWs certainly wasn't blindness

Dunno where that sentiment has come out of

Cash only *sometimes* plays as a winger but he's considered a priority target

Hearing a lot that Iraola is set to be sacked if he doesn't win against Burnley this weekend.

I really hope he gets the 3 points as I think its just a stay of execution and I want that disjointed passing out from the back against my City assets in GW11!

Statistically they've been much improved in terms of high pressing and the likes, but they've been absolutely abysmal defensively. Can't remember the last time I've seen a team make so many defensive errors in such a short period of time

It's really surprising to me how bad they have been at the back - I go to watch Iraola's previous club (Rayo) quite regularly, and they were always a fairly tight unit under him.

Sometimes these things don't translate between leagues/countries etc.

Haaland (Bournemouth) vs Salah (Luton) is already doing my head in for GW11 captaincy, due to how both opponents play atm

But that's after deciding among Haaland, Salah, Son, Saka and Watkins this week

Currently on Watkins because I see genuine signs that they might repeat what they did to Brighton. Nowhere near locked in though

Yes I’m with you and your thinking here mate. Pretty sure Luton are 20th for xGC in away games and the home record of Villa has been publicised plenty already.

I also think that Cash and Diaby could do well here, if they put a lot of focus and get tight to Watkins. The overlaps of the full backs creating overloads is going to be too much for Luton I think.

I'm trying to decide between those two and Haaland!

From a mixture of eye test & stats, NFO are really solid - they're especially tight down their left side (where Salah operates).

LUT have conceded the most shots in away games, and they're especially weak down their left side (where Cash & Diaby play).

Salah could always get lucky with a pen or late break like last week, but I'm leaning towards Watkins too.

Which of these defenders rotate better with the rest of your defence?

Having five defenders which rotate well is the route I have gone. Avoids you having to play the same defence each week and less transfers in and out. Then you have the choice of playing the defenders with the best fixtures as well. Won't work if you are sitting with 2 x 4.0's though.

Does anyone know of a good site for looking up chances conceded from set pieces? The only one I'm aware of is a basic goals conceded from set pieces table on whoscored:
    https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/2/Seasons/9618/Stages/22076/TeamStatistics/England-Premier-League-2023-2024

I'm looking at whether its worth trying to squeeze in TAA for the next 6-7 GWs. Obviously SHU are a key target in this regard; looks like Forest, Brentford & Luton might be too

      Also here, Mentaculus: https://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/team-stats/defending/

'SP' is 'goal attempts from set plays conceded'

I have 3 options as i see it:

    Areola Turner
    Cash Trippier Burn Porro Lamptey
    Bowen Son Maddison Diaby Neto
    Darwin Watkins Haaland

    0.2ITB 2FT

I’ve been happy with my selections this year but logic has not delivered points. I’m keen to make up a bit of ground in my leagues but not risk it all.

    A) Son & Maddison > Salah & Elliott
    B) Haaland & Neto > Salah and Alvaraz
    C) holding transfer of something like Burn to Tsimikas or Gabriel and think again next week….

    TIA

Appreciate any suggestions for my 2ft and 0.3m ITB:

    Areola (Turner)
    Burn-Cash-Udogie (Taylor-Botman*)
    Salah-Son-Madders-Diaby-Bowen
    Haaland-Alvarez (Archer)

    Maybe Botman to Gabriel?
