Have exact funds to do Bowen >> Saka, otherwise Saka may rise and Bowen may fall…

The fixtures for Son after Man City are not as good matchup wise as they look as West Ham, Newcastle and Everton will play a low block, anyone else feel that way?

Newcastle don't play a low block and don't see why they'd change against Spurs.

West Ham and Everton aren't hugely solid at the back.

Decent looking fixtures and match ups for Son

West ham not sound defensive, Newcastle away is not solid rock and the game is the third in a week for them with thin squad, and Everton is conceding goals, so while it's not looking like captaincy games, I think Spurs can score 5-6 goals in those total, in which Son is almost guaranteed to be involved.

While Palmer is looking ok for Chelsea, he's been reliant on penalties for his attacking returns.

Next week is a rough game. After that, they are in the top third on the fixture ticker. Plus, did you watch the spurs game at the weekend? He is their key asset and could have easily had a brace or a hat trick.

      Out of position.
Playing as a striker in a very attacking side that scores goals.
Man City game - still decent potential he scores in that game.
      Good fixtures following that.
Limited options for strikers in FPL.

Plenty of reasons to keep him

That gives you a pretty big benching headache though. Do you go 3-5-2 or 3-4-3?

TBH, I’d rather spend a FT ditching Cash than ditching Son.

Wait for press conferences to see Bowen’s status. If out, I’d do A long before considering B.

If Bowen looks to be fit, you might consider Marti to Mbuemo and rolling the other FT.

      • 11 Years

Sell Martinelli would be my first port of call. There is absolutely nothing in Arsenal this season that justifies doubling on the attack unless they are playing a relegation candidate.

Martinelli to Gordon, Kaboré to Tsimikas

I'd keep James since he's fit and missing just one game. Then I'd play Tsimikas over Branthwaite and just hope Pickford gets enough saves before going Turner to Areola or Sanchez next GW

I wouldn't bench Trippier vs Man U or Palmer vs current Brighton (depleted defence)

      But then again...

      Trippier + Alvarez + Martinelli > Lascelles + Archer (perma-bench) + Salah looks possible for -4, right?

Then maybe Cash can become James next GW

Tough (C) choice between Salah & Haaland this gw. Would have considered Mbeumo but he is the King of big chance missed.

I'm on Haaland too, and I'm forcing myself not to overthink it

Reminds me of when they recently both got 16 points... Even though Haaland faces Chelsea away while Salah had Brentford at home

As a midfielder, Salah will always need fewer returns to match Haaland for points. Yet I don't want to overthink this because watching Spurs' last game convinced me that there's a hat trick in store for Erling, especially since we know Ange will never change the way he plays, and Ange doesn't want to populate his midfield with DMs or his central defence with, err, his very slow only available center backs

Son has had 1 in the past 6 games.

I agree that Son has slightly better "stats" than Saka, but Son is playing by himself in a team of makeshift defenders, and tough fixtures. Saka plays for Arsenal.
