    Son salah saka mbeumo palmer
    Haaland watkins (archer)

You have ten starting outfielders who are good for this GW

I'd go Turner (not Areola) to Dubravka here for this GW, then sell Cash for Porro or James next GW

Hi guys, for midweek would I be best doing Sanchez/Areola to Dubravka? Getting fed up of seeing Darwin in my team but can't get rid of him before Sheffield. Don't have any money in the bank but have 1FT.

    Sanchez
    Lascelles - Tsim - Porro
    Palmer - Mbeumo - Salah - Son - Saka
    Haaland - Darwin

    Areola - Guehi - Pau - Semenyo

      Nope

Areola will be relying on saves alone. Palmer doesn't do much in open play (so far). Guehi probably concedes against the recently dangerous Bournemouth, while the same goes for Taylor against a Wolves team that's scored like 13 games in a row now

Antony Gordon speaking to NUFC TV after United game: “This game coming up is no different for me than any other. It’s another game I’m looking to perform in and win the game. We’re in a really good place. We know the environment we’re going to go into on Thursday. It’s no secret and we need to be ready for that. It’s going to be a challenging game and one that we’re looking to win.”

It means that he thought that he is going to be fine. However, people who want to play are always positive about their health. So, it's a good sign for Gordon owners and he will probably feature in the game, just like Palmer did.

This game is very much about luck and sadly I do not have much of it.

Last week I was considering whether to bring Saliba or Zinchenko into my team. People said that Zinchenko is a rotation risk while Saliba is nailed. So I chose Saliba, who got 7 points in the last two games, while Zinchenko had 14.

On Saturday I rushed to avoid missing the deadline and was very worried about it. At the last minute I made the Watkins -> Isak transfer and changed the captain from Son to Salah. This also cost me 14 points and it would have been better if I had missed the deadline.

In retrospect, decisions that actually made sense cost me 21 points. It was similar for others. In my opinion, this game is very much about luck.

not just about luck but sticking to your plan/opinion.. it's good and useful to follow team news, predicted line-ups, xGI and all other available but in the end it's your team and decisions you make might not always be the best, but if they do end up good, then it's way more satisfying

In retrospect Zinchenko was and is more attacking player than Saliba. You get what you buy. I bought Zinch for his attacking returns. Selling Watkins for Isak was never good transfer. Captaining Salah over Son vs MCI was probably correct decision, but it just didn't pay off. At least you didn't sell Son 😉

Of course it's about luck. I love hearing people try and convince themselves different. Usually the ones who have a few lucky high ranks. I have some decent finishes and everytime I've had them all the 50 50s have worked in my favour and dirty bench points have been my friend. All my crap ranks it is the opposite.
People come back with the defence that " people who finish high consistently can't be luck" well most of these people use Algorithms and a robot so they are probably worse players than us who use our own eyes and knowledge and our of millions and millions of players there are some that will be consistently lucky. Statistically out of so many players there will be

no one is denying the fact that luck is a big factor in your rank, but in the end even (lack of) luck is the consequence of the moves you are making

Similar boat. I bought Saliba over Zinchenko too. Just wanted that peace of mind with a set and forget. Also did Watkins > Darwin for a hit. Wasn’t sure if Watkins would start and his next few fixtures are poo anyway. Easy buy back option.

Agree there is a lot of luck to it. At least you're getting more than 1 point from your Arsenal defender. Went White a few weeks ago thinking he was nailed and the most attacking, no word of an injury and hasn't started since.

The games about luck but none of this tale was luck related just decisions which didn't go your way. Luck would be like the Alvarez starting the other week when he wasn't supposed to kind of thing because Grealish was sick or the Cash clean sheet against Luton I think it was when he went off before Villa conceded. Things like Ben Mee this weekend, a goal and an assist when to most people its no assist and an OG off Carlton Morris (which he would be credited with an assist for). They really are luck.

Every 50/50 I've made has gone wrong for me this season. Hence a rank of 5m instead or a more usual top 500k or whatever by now.

Ever since I went Gabriel over Saliba at the start I've not caught a break! Had triple Arsenal for SU 5-0 - Saka(c) one assist, Odegaard didn't play, Gabriel didn't play. Haaland(c) for the 6-1 with Alvarez, he went off injured at half time and Alvarez blanked. Last week Son(c) three goals ruled offside..the list is endless!

Oh here we go, we’re whinging about luck are we? Learn to handle bad beats instead of moaning. In the short term you can get unlucky, across the season it more or less levels out.

Same concept as professional poker, you can be unlucky in the short term, but if you make good decisions regularly, you’ll end up doing well.

Frankly if you’re rushing to make decisions just before the deadline and it causes you to make bad ones, that’s your own fault. You had a week to make a plan and execute it and you did it a few mins before deadline. Only yourself to blame. And even then there’s nothing to say 6 weeks from now they won’t be good decisions

it's a game of probability and due to the nature of the game there can be variance. If you make mostly correct decisions you are more likely to be rewarded over the long run than not. Obviously there is a good chunk of luck involved.

I don't think Darwin starts v SHU, and expect Villa do score a couple against a city side leaking goals and now missing Rodri.

Watkins is clearly the better FPL pick, I made the move but was muddied by the 50% flag.

If I had no other fires, I would just swap him back.

That worries me too. Typically he'll haul and Watkins will blank as per our expectations. Lost 9 points but made 0.1. The other move I was considering would have cost me 11! So not all bad.

It's either roll with it, Longstaff out, or Turner>Dubravka...?

Dubravka has gone from +30% to nearly +65% buys in since this morning. May need to make the move today to miss the rise
