Seen Trippier red flag and suspended until 23 Dec.

What's happened here? Thought it was just a 1-match ban.
    Some sources say he's injured.

"Until 23rd" = suspended until before the 23rd Dec

23rd Dec is when the Luton game is which he's available before (if fit).

It's correct. After Newcastle play this GW the red flag will get removed.

So he is suspended for the game vs Fulham, next Newcastle game will be 23 Dec and he will be available. What's the trick?

I think it's due the fact Newcastle hasnt played yet. If for some season the fulham game is postponed he would be suspended for gw18 instead.

People here going on about raul Jimenez and solanke as if they’re golden boot contenders.

Please beware. Some are thinking this as haaland is out and they’re looking for someone to come in, so they hype them up. Could work out, unlikely imo

I think it's probably playstyle point. Options like Jimenez, Solanke and Cunha could bring more EP and boost the rank, through Watkins is more template. For example, if you have 1m+ OR, using differential options looks quite logical move. Worthly risk in the situation like that.

    I've a theory on Trippier.
Think he may have gotten that yellow on purpose in order to get that suspension out of the way.
Happened just as Burn was back from injury whilst been knackered and a European game to play also.
Was never going to play this weekend.

How is it the same thing? We all play this game as a hobby

Someone who watches a 5 minute Youtube video will make the same moves as many on this site do, because they're told to

It's not wrong to do that but the element of skill in this game is drastically reducing year after year. Doing your own research is rarely worth it now

The quality of comments on here varies greatly

Problem is the Web interface does not easily allow users to access the quality comments.

Aside from a moderator flagged hot topics most genuinely valuable discussion are words in the wind as soon as they fall off the page. Or pushed off by some useless non comment.

With that said, many of the regulars on here are indeed very insightful and there's a willingness to share insights that's quite wonderful.

So City DGW away to Newcastle and then home to Brentford? Not great given the risk of rotation

Given Newcastle away is a lot tougher than Sheffield Utd at home it's actually probably better from a minutes perspective for the better options tbh, less likely to see rotation as both will be challenging games

Where did Kulusevski play tonight? The BBC website had him as the number 10 in a 4-2-3-1.

I'm thinking he could be the ideal replacement for Son when he's at the Asia cup.

Would you do Baldock to Trips or Porro? Now that Udogie is suspended. Will be playing WC in gw20

    Current defence:
    Udogie*/Tsimikas/Gvardiol (Baldock/Kabore)

Porro. Cheaper. Trippier might be injured as well.

Since I bought Porro in GW15 he's got me 18 points. Although he has played an extra game, the rest of my defence and gks have managed 7 points in total in that time.

So considering I don't have a team this season I'd say tonight was quite neutral.

I'm definitely spending all my Haaland money, screw it. TAA in and Kulu for Hwang or Palmer.

indeed, a Christmas bonus. There will be time for Haaland later, when Salah and Son wave goodbye.

Not going to lie, I thought Kulu was much older. Spurs got some potential on their hands.

Udogie to Porro? Will be using WC in GW19/20

Worth pulling the trigger now and getting Porro for Tsimikas in tonight before their respective price changes? Price swing would make a difference in being able to afford getting Haaland in for Darwin after the City blank.

Plus Udogie being suspended will now mean I'll have no Spurs coverage for the Everton game which is one of the better fixtures for GW18.

      Absolutely do it.

Scary thing was that I did something similar last week and brought in Gordon for Mbeumo before their price changes then Gordon got flagged a few days later

My defence without Haaland & Salah going to AFCON:

    Porro, Trent & Trippier

I expect one attacking return or bonus a week! Cleansheets? Not so much.
