Solanke points will stand. No one in FPL towers is going to rewrite the codes to erase the points of the players from the game. Also, what happens if PL decides to restart the game from the minute it stopped? Do we get 1 and 1/3 gameweek or what? Sorry Solanke non-owners, 9 pointer stands.

          What is?

Telling you that it's likely the points from the game will stand as it's after 60mins?

The remaining mins will likely be played and the game appended to another GW.

It's an unforeseen circumstance so FPL can take any measure they deem necessary really. Noone knows until they make a statement. I personally think the points should be scrapped but then that's unfair in a lot of ways. It's an impossible decision for FPL too because they don't know when the game will be replayed and if replayed from the start or from 60 minutes

      It's incredibly easy actually.
You just wipe off BOU - LUT as if the game wasn't played.
All assets in that game get 0 points and auto subs applied.

        • 9 Years
        2 years, 4 months ago

Why? If the replay starts from 60 minutes, how will they account for that in FPL? Seems unfair to Solanke owners.

They just pull the fixture completely, as they’ve done in the past for postponements etc.

The game was played. They can't just erase it as simple as that? Results will stand because they don't know what the PL will decide happens for the replay.

Of course they can. The game wasn’t completed and was abandoned, so needs to be replayed. Check out Law 7 of the game.

They don't change anything manually even when there is an acknowledgment of error.

I had Lewis Dunk given a yellow and then a Red - because the Ref thought Dunk had a previous Yellow.

The player played the following week like the Red never happened but FPL still gave me a Red card -2 for the player.

Apparently the FPL game isn't good at removing points so that might just be it as it stands.

The PL have the right to agree any of the 3 outcomes. They can also make their decision whenever they want.

People collapse or die all the time and businesses have to continue working.

I've personally witnessed someone die at work and we had to reopen the doors once the ambulance had taken them away.

We can say that it was the human thing to stop the Bournemouth game but in many other industries people have to continue working under such circumstances.

But the competition/Premier league has the right to count the score as it is (at the time of play stopping ) if "Where it is to the

    Just for clarity. Found this...

What happens in FPL if a game is postponed?
BY MATEJ ŠUĽAN FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE, FPL HOW TO GUIDES20. JULY 2023
    game postponed fpl

    x
Football games can sometimes be postponed due to various reasons such as adverse weather conditions, fixture congestion, or other unforeseen circumstances. This article delves into what happens in FPL when a game is postponed, how it impacts player selection and points, and how FPL managers can navigate these situations.

    Summary:
Gameweek where a match is postponed = some teams do not play = blank gameweek = blank players score 0 points.

Gameweek where matches are rescheduled to = some teams play twice = double gameweek = some players can score you points from 2 matches in one gameweek.

    Understanding Postponed Matches in FPL
When a Premier League match is postponed, it means that the players from the affected teams who are in your FPL team will not be able to earn points for that particular Gameweek. This will result in a “blank gameweek” – a gameweek where less than 20 teams have a fixture. So all players that have a blank gameweek will score you zero points on that particular gameweek.

The PL need to be fair to other teams and will not want to be in a position where they could get sued. It would get messy in the unlikely event that either LUT or BOU stay up thanks to today's point having only played 60 odd minutes of football. Other clubs could argue they earned a valuable point without playing for 90 mins.

I suspect they'll play it safe (both in terms of fairness to other teams and PR) and order that the game be replayed and I'd be surprised if FPL points accrued today will count.

        I never said that.
They could get potentially sued if they award points for a game that was never completed and it ended up costing another club their place in the league.

    3. Johnjo
      • 8 Years
      2 years, 4 months ago

Surely if they were forced to replay and it ended up 1-1 again Bournemouth and Luton could complain that they had to play over 150 minutes just to earn a point. Also having to pay 30 mins less football does not make up for the mental trauma suffered by both sets of players who witnessed it. Nobody benefited from what happened. I think some common sense needs to come in. Obviously if a match gets abandoned after 5 mins it should get replayed. But if it's been played for over 60 mins and is all square and both teams are agreeable then calling it a draw seems sensible to me.

We all hope and pray for our leader and captain Tom Lockyer, who is thankfully responsive and has been taken to hospital.

We don’t know the full extent of what happened and what the next steps are at this stage, but we thank Bournemouth and the medical staff on both sides for their immediate response, which was absolutely amazing.

We are sorry to all supporters present that players from both sides were in no state of mind to continue with the game after seeing their much-loved team-mate and friend taken off like that, and staff could not carry on with managing the game in such circumstances having had to deal with the situation.

We thank everyone for the wonderful applause and singing of Locks’ name inside the stadium at such a difficult time.

Now is the time for all of our players, staff and supporters to come together as we always do and give our love and support to Tom and his family.

Our thoughts are with him and them all.

In Portugal One game was suspended due to problems on the stands, anda the extra time was replayed later.

    Estoril-Porto

The stands were colapsing. Oporto supporters claimed that and the game was suspended. They were loosing. Nothing wrong With the stands.
