I have Salah, Saka, Son, Watkins, Solanke…and yet I’m thinking about TAA as Captain. Am I mad?

Combination of weakest opposition and least chance of minute management

i never enjoy captaining a defender but if you think he gets the most points then fair enough

fwiw i dont think there will be many reduced minutes for the players you listed there, none have played regularly for their sides in all competitions the last month

Jurgen Klopp on left-back options: "Can Joey [Gomez] play all the games coming up now until I don't know, when Robbo [Andy Robertson] comes back?

"Kostas is definitely out for a while.

"Somebody will play the position. It's tough a broken collarbone is really bad, because it takes [a] long [time to heal].

"We have Joey [Gomez] there. Put him in cotton wool, make sure he's always ready."

Klopp on Jota injury return: "Didn't train with the team yet.

"We have only one proper session [before Burnely] so it would be a surprise [if Diogo is available]."

    Leno
    Tripp Trent Gabriel
    Son Salah Gordon Sterling*
    Solanke Watkins Alvarez

    Areola Senesi Taylor Palmer*

Benching Palmer, because for the money he's worth hanging on to.
    Would you
    A. Play Gab (WHU) or Senesi (FUL)
    B. Bench Sterling and play the other from A.
    C. Ditch Sterling for a hit, and if so for whom? Rich? Bowen?

0FT (already dealt with Tsimi), enough ITB for anyone, but wary of getting Haaland back.

tbh, B. for all the criticism chelsea's attacking numbers are very good and with nkunku there now they should start taking more chances which will be good sterling and palmer. fixtures arent too bad either

All I want for Xmas, is a new Defender under 4.8 pls…

    Tsimikas to…….

    A) Tarkowski - great form, decent fixtures BUT City next, and already have Pickford,
    B) Digne - team good form, United next and high potential upside,
    C) Udogie - good form, Brighton next who have been cr@p this season,
    D) Alfie Doughty (who?) - Luton great form, nice fixtures with Sheffield United next, and decent fixtures after.
    E) Other?

    Areola,
    Gabriel, Burn, Senesi,
    (S)alah, Son, Saka, Gordon,
    Haaland*, Watkins, Solanke

    Pickford, Lascelles*, Palmer*, Tsimikas*,

    Current team:
    Dubravka, Areola
    Porro, Gabs, Gusto, Tsimi*, Lascelles*
    Salah, Son, Saka, Sterling*, Palmer*
    Watkins, Darwin, Archer

Plan was to just get Haaland back this week but now I have no idea if he's going to be ready and have 2 suspended plus 2 injured.

Sterling could have had a massive haul today if those around him could finish...and if he could to be fair so I'm reluctant to sell. But do you think that's my best option? Move him on to Bowen and take a hit to replace Tsimikas?
Any ideas/advice welcome. I've had a terrible week and need some help!

      How much money itb?

Popular move is Tsimi to TAA , which is likely to get you 11 on the pitch, with Darwin and Archer having pretty good fixtures.

Sterling to Richarlison is a possibility for -4 although I’ve gone off hits after last week so would probably hold unless I heard any further news of injuries.

      1. Kay317
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I have my Haaland cash in the bank, 7.2mil..
I like the idea of TAA as not everyone has him and need to make up ground. Then Richi or Bowen for Sterling are possibilities, like both options. Spurs have the better fixture this week but Bowen is the better player and feel like he could be a season keeper set and forget if he stays fit.
My issue if I get TAA is getting Haaland back for gw20. Would need to take a hit and drop Salah or Son a week earlier than I want to. What you reckon?

I’ve spent way too much time thinking about this. There’s every possibility that Haaland takes time to get back to form and I keep Salah for Newcastle and hold off Haaland for SHU but at the moment I’m working on the basis of that move for a hit.

When I worked on the ‘not TAA’ option I end up with 4 good defenders and a benching headache so I think I’m going for TAA.

Would definitely prefer Bowen over Rich (I have Bowen already) and if you can suffer the potential haul against Brighton he’d be my preference.

    A) TAA (bur)

    B) Baldock (LUT) + 4 points

      Interesting...

I'm very likely looking at something similar:

      A) TAA (bur)

      B) Lascelles (NOT) / Dunk (TOT) + 4

Got to think the hit might be worth it to chase the huge upside with TAA..?

I think so too. Plus Lascelles picked up a knock last game and now Botman on bench so is he a guaranteed at stater now?
