Foden and Alvarez owners, enjoy the short lived security of minutes. I wouldn’t be bringing them in at this point…

Foden looks more secure than Alvarez based on current form. Alvarez has been filling in in the KDB role.

When KDB and Haaland return, which looks like gw22 for full fitness, Foden, Alvarez, Doku and Grealish will be fighting for 2 spots.

I highly doubt KDB will be at full fitness in GW22 when he hasn't played a minute yet and they have just 2 games before that. Pep said just a week ago that he hopes Haaland will return in January so he might not even be ready for the bench by then either for all we know

Gw22 is a month away and he was on the bench already last game. He will have two games in by then and a month of training. Might not be playing 90 but should be back in the XI you’d think.

          I slightly disagree with this.

          Doku/Grealish LW
          Bilva/Foden RW

I think that's the break down, can't think of a time I've seen Doku or Grealish out on the right

I wouldn't ignore them at this stage, particularly when injured players are coming up to speed. By the time you relent and try to get them, the damage may be done.

Evaluate them as you would any other players, and place less emphasis on the rotation risk for now.

God, it was years ago now. I haven't used it for a job, but, yes, it was in the personal profile under interests (along with a couple of other things). Just a basic Fantasy Football, and added a couple of good ranks and out of how many players. Might want to say used familiarity with data analysis, but I'll leave that up to you. It was short and sweet, but my course leader mentioned to me that it showed a particular aptitude and helped (if only a little).

It's been the best season in about 10 years for fantasy. So many obvious template picks over the years, this season has been a breath of fresh air. Was fun trying to get Gerrard, Lampard, Ronaldo and Drogba in your team back in 2007-2008 mind 🙂

Yeah, I’m in agreement with this and the above article. Not doing amazing by any means myself, stagnant at around 100k for awhile now, but the variety this year with the pool of players and captaincy decisions and formations has been great!

In captaincy decisions, I’ve managed captain returns once in the past 5gws, hoping that changes this gw!

100k with 10 million players is doing v well.

I know top 10k top or top 50k is the holy grail but many on here are way off that. Including those doing it 'full time'.

As someone who has done well in the past but currently 1.6M OR, I still find it really more exciting this year.

It's a lot harder to find gems and I would hate for a game to be easy.

I'm frustrated I'm doing poorly but still finding it incredibly entertaining about the number of decisions that can be made

It’s not a bad rank to be at at this stage for sure but I’ve been at it for a few weeks now. My armband decisions have been my downfall. Still really enjoying this season.

    Current transfer thoughts:

Downgrade Salah to 7.2m MID to afford Alvarez to Haaland in one move assuming Haaland is fit in 22. Likely take my first hit this season between GW21-22.

    GW21
    - Salah to Rich/Olise/Eze/Gross/D Luiz (or delay move to 22)
    - Son to Bowen

    GW22:
    Alvarez to Haaland

    Areola
    TAA Porro Gabriel Saliba Taylor
    Saka Palmer
    Solanke Watkins Alvarez

An FA Cup appearances against Huddersfield for a bit of game time would help.

I suspect Pep would want to play him if available for some minutes as he's missed action since gw16.

the three experts I have watched in past two days say Foden is more nailed on, although he will lose minutes and a favorable position on field. For GW21, I have to weigh a four point hit to get Haaland for maybe limited minutes.. so prob wait til GW22.

Derbz... yes that's true, but there were a couple others as well.. Buttice was lavish in Foden praise. He had just captained Foden so he and Chai, who is currently world #2, who did likewise were over the moon on Foden. Both have played similar minutes, but KDB is the disruptor.

Whose going to get Toney; will Chelsea get a new striker; will Leny Yoro go to Utd, Liverpool or City; do City sign the 17 yo wonder kid, Echeverri; will there be another Saudi bid for Salah?????

I know folks will want to chase the price changes but there is nearly 2 weeks until GW21 deadline and FA Cup fixtures to be played.

IF looking to make early transfers, make sure you check the Selling Price (SP).

For me, I can absorb one price drop on Son and not affect SP but Salah down to 12.2 will affect my SP to 12.9.

    Salah:
    CP: 13.3
    SP: 13.0
    PP: 12.7

    Son:
    CP: 9.9
    SP: 9.5
    PP: 9.2

For every £0.2m that a player rises since you bought them, you gain £0.1m in your selling price.

      13.2* will affect my SP

There’s just too much up in the air to make an early move atm! Someone like a jota could easily rattle in a couple of goals in the cup or tonight and totally make me re think things

Probably lose 0.1 on son and salah in that time but just have to swallow it

12 days to next deadline, might see 1 or 2 new January signings added aswell.

I think if Haaland is fit in GW21, I may wait until 22 to bring him in.

Away to Newcastle doesn't seem to be a good entry point.

Ideally with something that expensive you want to see how the foot holds up against Sven Botman standing on it

I think he's fixture proof. If he's playing 90 minutes, I'd take him over any none premium player

Sure but against a tougher team, I am predicting a lower ceiling

Hauls at Chelsea away and man UTD away and Newcastle are in the same bucket.

He doesn't have a ceiling in my opinion

Chelsea and Man U defence are nowhere near as good as Newcastle def at home imo

I think their recent form is showing there are lots of cracks. But we both have different opinions and that's ok

No ceiling but an injury that could flare up again. He's got to get through a game unscathed before I'd consider. I'd be very surprised if that games in the FA Cup as Huddersfield will kick lumps out of him.

Agree, which is why I said "if he's playing 90 minutes". If he's not or his not match fit then you can wait.

He is fixture proof when he is playing every game. Coming back after weeks of not playing or training I would expect him to be eased back in somewhat. Leaving him out GW21 (or first game back) carries a reduced risk of missing a haul, I think

Don't try to anticipate Haaland's hauls - can haul against anyone, anywhere if fit

If i already own player, how the drop of market price impacts his current value in ny squad (that i bought him in)? It drops as well?

Basically should I rush to sell Salah/Son?

Hows your bench looking? More importantly maybe hows your defence? Because if you plan on holding both you'll be playing at least 4 defenders for a few weeks. That prospect alone means I'll be selling at least one regardless of value

The main question is when will H be fit? If it's for GW21 and you've already sold Son and Salah...

I've sold one and left it open for this week to get H back

I suspect he can wait at least one more week

It is the difference between current price and the one you've paid divided by 2 (rounded down).

      So: 6.9 - 6.5 = 0.4/2 = 0.2

Rushing sells saves you money but you're risking injuries and some other unexpected events, your choice.

my main issue is that I dont have Palmer. I have Bowen, Saka, Rich, Salah*, Foden, Alvarez, Watkins, Pedro.

So I should make Salah -> Palmer, but of course I could also wait and see how FA Cup impacts. Also Palmers price isnt in danger to rise, Salah drop is coming soon though.

    Nice article
The regrets vs I did it my way is an interesting point

A Salah blank tonight & that will be my 5th captain blank in last 6 GWs ( Jammy Salah VC in GW16)

I regret these more, as I've not gone with my gut & had them as VC (who has scored points in each of these GWs inlcuding Son VC this week)

I've made captain choices on who I think will be most popular in my ML, rather than who I genuinely thought would score more. If stuck with my gut would be heading both my MLs

We are in the same boat. I've been making marginal gains because my team is good, however, captain choice has been pulling those gains down.

Because I've been burnt in the first 10 weeks, I'm not "covering the danger"

The Salah captain was the first time in 6 weeks I went with gut instead of following the crowed (Watkins), however, that may backfire if he doesn't Haul
